Someone told me there are three parts to a successful outcome for total knee replacement. 1. An excellent surgeon. 2. A Physical Therapy Center that excels in delivering knowledgeable, effective training. And 3. A personal determination to do what the professionals tell you to do. I had a complete ACL tear and two tears in my meniscus. My surgery was on Friday and I started therapy on a Monday at Lane. I had according to my Dr a 6-8 month recovery if not longer due to being over 40 before I could go back to my job as a firefighter. I struggled with not being able to bend my knee or even be able to go a full revolution on the recumbent bike but the therapist and everyone that worked with me pushed me to keep trying and not give up! It was by far the most challenging thing I have ever faced but thanks to the staff at Lane PT and the push to not give up I was back on duty in 5 months! Even my Dr and his crew was shocked that I had completed and meet all requirements plus the Functional agility program at Lane. My father had used Lane physical therapy for many many years, due to different ailments. I got involved when my dad was first Diagnosed with cancer, and then later Alzheimer’s. I have never seen a more caring and understanding staff. My dad could be very moody, and not always pleasant. Lane and his staff would always do their best to make him smile, and participate in his therapy. When my dad’s disease had progressed, he was motivated to do very little. But because of the pleasant attitude of the staff, and their patience and persistence, my dad still made progress, and maintained his quality of life for as long as possible. We had tried other options, including home health, and no one would work with my dad except for Lane Physical Therapy. Lane went above and beyond In so many ways to help my dad. I truly thank God for everything they did. They helped maintain my dad’s dignity and independence. I would happily highly recommend them to anyone who needs physical therapy services. The staff over the last 20 years (although faces have changed) has been unwavering in their knowledge, support, and care. They've gotten me back on my feet each time I've needed their services, and feel more like family than therapists. Had a knee injury and when I started my therapy it was about 50 percent. The staff got the injuried knee to 100 percent even better than the good knee at 98 percent. So I was actually in better shape than when I started . Cameron and his staff are the best in Russellville........hands down .
