Laurie Shepard was my Physical Therapist; and she's great at, both, assessing the problem and coming up with a very useful plan of strengthening and stretching exercises. With my last appointment, the Medical Transportation was 45 minutes late, thus making my appointment be 15 minutes late in the end; yet, even though there were many very intricate problems occurring with many different clients at that time... she still remained focused and willing to help me, in particular, to progress with my exercises without losing patience or getting angry at the situation (as most people might do in similar situations of being overworked and having to 'multitask' in such a fashion). Others filled-in when asked with a smile to make it all come-together; so they work very well as a team from the front desk to the therapists. Although it took me a half-hour to connect to my Medical Transportation on the return trip (and I was having to tie-up their telephones for that period of time) everybody was patient and didn't complain. An amazing place which is very uplifting and helpful to whatever problem you might have to endure.

Any recovery is painful Spooner is a great place to do recovery it's a nice atmosphere they have professional people but in particular Sarah Thompson is the greatest and that's because I work with her but I see a lot of the other employees that do a wonderful job I'd highly recommend it

My physical therapist Matthew Getz was great! He helped me get my lower back to normal. All of the staff at Spooner Physical Therapy was always friendly and had a nice sense of humor. I was always happy to come back and do my therapy. I recommend this to anyone who need friendly staff who do listen to your needs and a positive environment to be in. The receptionist was professional, polite, good communication and customer service skills. The physical therapist need training in HIPPA Laws, poor communication skills, asked inappropriate questions such as "do you have a maid" The physical therapist ignored my physical pain by observing me rubbing my upper back and neck as well as me verbally communicating that I was in pain before beginning the session. The physical Therapist continuously asked questions that I had already provided written answers on their intake forms. I came 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment to complete necessary paperwork which took over 30 minutes. The PT was asking these questions in an open gym with gurneys and no type of barriers for privacy. There were other patients in the gym approximately 6 feet apart that we're listening by evidence of their turned heads and eye contact. I had informed the PT of my privacy rights of medical information but she didn't seem concerned. Needless to say, I had walked out before answering any other questions and informed the receptionist that there was no plan of me returning.

I love Spooner Therapy! This is my second total knee replacement and I have total confidence that my PT Joe E. evaluated me at intake and put together a therapy plan that will get me to me goals in little time. He has knowledge to answer all my questions and knows just how hard to push me so I feel great after every therapy session and leave knowing I gained ground in my recovery. Everyone is so helpful and friendly that I give Spooner 5 stars and will recommended them for anyone’s therapy needs

Spooner Phyiscal Therapy (South Phoenix) has an excellent staff. The front desk is very polite . The therapists are great. Andrea takes time to see how you feeling . She has great hands. Her assistants are trained very well. I have multiple sclerosis. The first thing they ask do you need heat or ice packs? Very flexible to work with you. I would recommend future clients. I have been coming there for three years. I always request their services.

Everyone here is really supportive and friendly, they genuinely care about everyone that walks through the door. I came here with a bad back then brought my son for his knee since he had surgery and his previos PT wasn’t doing anything for him, now he is doing amazing! I didn’t think they’d be able to get him to walk with almost no limp as quickly as they have. He has terrible anxiety and can’t be in crowded places or where there is loud noises and they do what they can to accommodate him. This is really one of the best places I’ve taken my son to get help for his knee and the only place to put in an effort to get him where he needs to be in his physical therapy journey.

This place is strictly for Medicaid patients. The facility is run down and when it comes to equipment they have none. I showed up 13 min late for an appointment and they cancelled my appointment because they had already take the other patient. now knowing that you deal with injuries and people have trouble getting around wouldn't you be more lenient on your tardiness policy. The therapist seem as if they have given up hope and found themselves in a place regretting their careers.

I wanted to tell you that Matthew Getz PT is a wonderful Physical Therapist. I was referred to your facility by my primary care physician, Dr. Zhong, at mountain park health center.At my initial visit I was greeted by Matthew Getz PT, DPT. From that first visit and throughout each of my “healing” sessions Matthew addressed and assessed the level of pain I was experiencing, any pain I may have been having between sessions and always asked about my home exercises. Matthew did the best at explaining and making sure that I understood my therapy. His smiles, friendliness and encouragement was awesome and made my Spooner experience great! I am grateful & appreciative for all the help that I have received at your facility. I will highly recommend Spooner to others.
