I have known Suna Lee and her crew since 2007. My family had a life altering experience and we knew that we wanted to mark the recovery with an up to date family portrait. The session was amazing! When we came back for our viewing we were blown away by how amazing her work is. This isn't your average photographer, this is an artist with a camera. We cried through our entire viewing. Suna figures your dynamics out and captures it. We love her so much that we went back to her when my husband and I started our own family. She has captured my pregnancy and the first photographs of our newborn son. Her albums are one of kind and they aren't paper albums that will be destroyed in a year. These are family heirlooms, that will be passed down from generation to generation. Suna has always been honest and upfront to us. There is a reason behind each step she takes. She has years of experience behind her name. She has invested in her brand and her company. If you want Glamour Shot prices, go to Glamour Shots. She is not Glamous Shots, she is an investment. She loves her work and puts hours of care behind your session. Suna is family to us now and we are grateful to have her in our lives.

Lu and her husband did my wedding in April of 2016 and it was AMZING! Like, talking to her was so personal, she really took her time with you and makes you feel like you are the only person she is dealing with. She is beyond flexible and an amazing person to work with (She was also on time every meeting we had, and for the wedding). I had a lot of back and forth and unnecessary drama (unfortunately) on my day, but Lu literally brushed everything off and was concerned with me and me only (and my husband...lol). She did not let anything outside of her job effect her work. True professional. I got so many compliments on on my wedding album, and even how Lu and her husband conducted themselves at he wedding! I can not believe my pictures looked so good; seriously like in a magazine. I look at my pictures at least once a month (once a week for about 4 months when I first got them) and can not find anything I would change. (I also did a payment plan and started paying for my wedding a little over 1 year before the wedding..it was barely $150.00 a month...USE THE PAYMENT PLAN! It does not seem nearly as expensive when its broken up). I used them for my pregnancy shoot as well. Seriously, the best photographers you will ever come across. I know I said a lot, but truly amazing is this couple.

I went to Lee's Photography to have a business portrait taken. Not being very good with hair or makeup myself, I brought all my stuff and Suna helped me with it. She fluffed up my hair and added concealer under my eyes. She was very sweet. After that she took my portrait. Lots of positions, lots of poses. She was nice about the fact that I brought a lot of clothes with me, and she helped me decide what would work best. The end result was great. I tend to look like a little kid, and she made me look like a professional adult--which I really appreciate. I've now got my spiffy new picture on my facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, and Elance profiles, and I'm really psyched! I've gotten a lot of great comments about it.

Suna is what I would call a people whisperer. I despise having my photo taken and I have a reputation for being very awkward in photos and rigid; just generally un-photogenic. I was dreading having my photo taken, but when I arrived in her studio, Suna touched up my make up, and without being obvious, her tone and kindness calmed me. She put me in a very Zen state and guided me through the process. I felt relaxed, comfortable and supported. Rather than feeling stressed, awkward and uncomfortable, I felt as though I had just meditated. Suna is truly an artist. Very few shots had to be taken because she knew immediately just the right angle to complement my face and then she modeled for me how to sit and pose. As for pricing, before the session, she sat with me personally and reviewed her pricing brochure so that I would understand the total package. This experience is indeed an investment and a lifetime treasure, akin to having your portrait painted. This is not like going to just any portrait studio, but you will have a work of art when you are finished and not just a photo.

Probably the best photographer that I've ever worked with. Great personality, great professionalism, unbelievable positive energy to keep you in the game during the whole hour, passion for her work, etc. I cannot list everything. Lee's Photography will provide everything that you'd ask for. Yes, the actual frame services are not cheap, but you wouldn't take pictures like everyday anyways. The service you get really is worth every penny. At least our family had an amazing time as Ms. Lee offered to go extra miles to give us the best service possible. Will recommend this place to everyone I know.

Suna Lee is a true artist. She doesn’t just create fantastic portraits of her subjects. Her artistry captures her subject’s soul producing that personal essence of one’s being that is revealed when reviewing with her the proofs of her work. In need of a current photograph for my author’s web page, I goggled photographers in the McLean, Virginia area. I emailed three whose web sites indicated a high degree of expertise. Suna Lee, Lee Photography, in McLean, promptly responded by a phone call in which she invited me to be interviewed. That was the first thing that impressed me. Having no photographic experience, a personal interview still made eminent sense to me. The next things that impressed me were the record of her achievements and awards for her photography that I was able to review while waiting for be interviewed. Then the interview itself. Next came the photo session about which I was concerned. Not used to being photographed and recalling the “mug” shots one gets from DMV, on passports, etc., I was concerned I would photograph like a deer in the headlights. Her calm and soothing direction created a self-confidence that I was indeed “posing” in a professional manner – like I was used to doing so. Ms. Lee took nearly two hundred shots of which she selected about 125 to review, Of necessity, we narrowed it to three shots, but, if I knew what to do with them, I would have selected at least 115. Conceit? Perhaps. Realistically, it was that the photos captured the persona, character, history and values that I believed represented my own. As I said, Ms. Lee captures the soul of her subjects.

I read articles about Suna Lee’s Photography in Washington post and other newspapers and I have been wanting a portrait for some time. I have co-jointly published several books in recent years and another book is scheduled to be published in December. So, in June, I went to Suna Lee’s Photography for a portrait to use in the future books as well as for the webpage. When I arrived for the photo session, Suna took me to her preparation room and fixed my hair and applied facial touch-ups to eliminate shiny spots. The photo session took about an hour with three different outfits and background. During the session she guided me through posing, including head, hand, and overall postures. She also put me at ease by making funny gestures or jokes. She was no doubt a true professional photographer. In addition, it was just amazing how she and her assistant worked together for the correct lighting and creating dynamic surroundings. I went in for the photo viewing and selection two weeks later. This also took about an hour to view about 100 photos and this was done at three stages: photos by outfit category; photos by similar poses; final favorite photos. I was awed by this process and realized how much work truly goes into creating a photo of lifetime treasure. I selected 4 beautiful photos. I had Suna print and frame my favorite one, which turned out stunningly gorgeous. I also received 4 final photos on a CD which can be used for web posting and future books. I am absolutely happy that I went to her and was amazed with her work. I am truly grateful that I have a portrait that I can enjoy lifetime and pass on to my children. Because she produced a timeless artwork, I hope to have children’s family portraits done someday soon. In the end, you cannot hold onto cash but great portraits can last for generations!
