Jim and Ellie photographed our wedding in July 2016 at Gilfillan farm. They were wonderful to work with! They were honest, professional, and hard-working throughout the whole process. They are fantastic human beings, incredibly easy to work with and produce amazing work. Our wedding photographer was a very important decision for me, and I could not be happier that we chose James Carl Photography. Even family members told me how nice they were and how they weren't in your face during the reception. They were incredibly flexible to meet with us before the wedding for engagement photos and for any other thing that we needed. They made sure to ask us if we had any photos we definitely wanted, such as groups of certain family members or any posed shots. We are absolutely pleased with our photos and our album. I would absolutely suggest these two to anyone I know who is looking for a reliable and enjoyable photographer.

Jim and Ellie are a fabulous husband and wife photography team. They did an incredible job with our wedding; the ceremony at St. Paul Cathedral and the reception at the Music Hall Foyer at the Carnegie Museum of Art. Jim and Ellie were an absolute pleasure to work with and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding photographer! They photographed our wedding in October 2017 and captured all the important moments (and every other little detail in between) and they did so without interfering in the flow of the day. Their prices were more than fair based on the great amount of time they spent working with us. They were available from the beginning to the end of the day without us having to worry about any limitations on coverage. They spent a lot of time leading up to the event assisting with our timeline, which greatly contributed to everything being so seamless on our wedding day. Our engagement session provided a wonderful opportunity to get more comfortable working with them, which made our wedding day photos even better. We also got an amazing photo that perfectly captured our personalities, which we used as a signature book at our reception. They took great care editing the photos, preparing the photo book, and sitting down with us to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted, which resulted in an amazing storybook of our big day that we often enjoy looking at.
