Great furniture. I love the work these folks do and am a repeat customer. They are not great to work with however and have a fairly indifferent attitude towards customers. Specifically: -- a week after I ordered an item, they put it on sale but would not honor the new price. Their cancellation provisions meant that I was penalized hundreds of dollars for ordering earlier. -- they did not keep their delivery schedule promise. Not even close. -- they did not communicate their delays to me. They made me inquire, then blamed their shipper or the weather -- neither terribly helpful. Good craftsmen. Careless business people.

This was a truly unique experience and their work is so beautiful. We were really happy with the examples they had in the showroom and are very excited to be getting our bedroom set from them. Katie was especially helpful and very kind. We had been speaking over email for a while before we drove out to the showroom, and was very patient with us as we went back and forth on various options. Riley was very knowledgeable and gave us some insights to their ability to source superior wood from Eastern forests due to their location. Both were passionate and engaged about their work, and is great to see in a local business. I'm very happy to support American craftsmanship. We drove out from Boston, and although we thought it would take the whole day, the drive was actually very quick on a Saturday morning. (We took route 2 the whole way) we left around 8 and were back before noon; well worth the drive.

I've made a number of purchases with Vermont Woods Studios, including extensive outdoor furniture and a few interior pieces. Everything has proved to be of excellent quality; and the service from purchase to delivery was excellent. But most impressive for me from a customer service perspective was that a problem developed nearly two years after one purchase--a problem with no apparent explanation that rendered a beautiful cherry nightstand unusable. VWS agreed to evaluate the piece (and charge me for repairs as required). It's a praiseworthy testimony of their professionalism that once they received the item, they determined the issue arose from a defect; and they arranged for the manufacturer to take full responsibility for making it right, at no cost to me. In my experience, Vermont Woods Studios' integrity and commitment to customer service are absolutely outstanding. When you're investing in a hand-crafted furniture made in timeless designs that you hope will last a life-time, to have exemplary customer service along with the quality of products you're buying is a powerful reason to remain a faithful client.
