Jay was outstanding! Despite rain and an anxious groom, Jay worked efficiently to capture all of our moments. We could not be happier with our photos and cannot believe how many high quality photos we have to chose from. Even though our bridal party was over an hour late getting ready, Jay managed to get all of our family portraits done before the ceremony. We commend him for standing out in the rain with his camera while we were dry under a tree! The lighting in our photos is amazing and we love all the candid and creative shots. We are also happy to see so many photos of our relatives and friends.

Geoff and Wendy photographed our wedding on October 4, 2014 in Vermont. We ended up with a rainy day and a lot of family photos to be taken. They did a fantastic job of keeping their patience trying to organize 80 or more people into different group photos. They were incredibly flexible as they arrived site unseen and took advantage of different locations while the rain cleared up now and again. It was wonderful having two photographers on site, as they were both able to get photos of almost everything that was going on. It's apparent they have been doing this for quite some time and complement one another's skill sets. Photography was something my parents, the groom and I all felt was an important part of the budget and the portrait gallery was worth every penny spent. We are looking forward to the albums being made and having a large amount of photos to remember our wedding day with. I would hire Portrait Gallery for any event, and would certainly hire them again for my wedding if I had to choose all over again. Our photographer Jay was wonderful, as was his assistant Megan. They asked if they could arrive earlier on our wedding day than I thought was even possible (they had a long drive to our venue), which was perfect for getting to know them, and getting some fun shots of my bridesmaids and I. They were so professional (and nice!) during the chaos of having 20+ people in my hotel suite, and they were calm and creative while they adapted to pop-up thunderstorms that happened during our planned time for outdoor photos. They were also amazing at coaching us on what to do/how to stand/etc. to make our photos look amazing! The photos were sent back to us very quickly following the wedding, and our friends and family continue to comment on how wonderful the photos were. I was thrown away with how perfect my wedding day went. A lot of that credit goes to Geoff and Wendy from Portrait Gallery. Wendy helped me get into my dress and she had an 'emergency' repair kit with her in case anything happened. Geoff was careful with my autistic brother and never forced him to do anything for the group photos. He even ran over to get a photo of my brother stimming at our lantern send off because it meant so much to me. For wedding photographers to be a husband and wife duo, it's extremely important to see them getting along and having fun, which was exactly what Geoff and Wendy did. They were both extremely sweet and caring and made my husband and me both excited to start a new chapter in our lives together. The biggest thing that sold us for Portrait Gallery was the fact they post our photos on their website and our family can download as many pictures as they want for free. My husband wanted to set up a google doc for our family to share photos with each other, but this was just perfect. I had many family from the United Kingdom unable to make it to the wedding, but they all looked at the photographs and said they felt that they were there.

Jay listened to everything we wanted for photos and got some amazing photos. When looking for a photographer for our wedding I had a very clear picture that I wanted someone who could capture the moments of my wedding day to have for memories years later. After meeting with Geoff I had no worries about the photography of our wedding. Geoff took our engagement photos and was very easy to communicate to during the wedding planning process. When I met with Jay we discussed the details. He was able to give me a better understanding of the wedding day and what to expect as far as the agenda and details of certain poses and photos. Geoff and Thom were amazing to work with. Geoff had about 70 photos online the morning after our wedding. We can't wait to see the rest of the photos. We worked with Geoff before the wedding to make a list of photos that we wanted, and he touched base with us throughout the night making sure we were getting what we wanted. They worked great as a team and also independently making sure the day was captured. Geoff would pull us aside once and while to get photos together. He was also quick when he did so, allowing us to get back to the party. Both photographers worked well with our videographer as well. We got many compliments on our photographers from guests.

Unfortunately, it rained the day of the wedding, so we were unable to take full advantage of the photography opportunities of our venue. However, Thom did a good job of accommodating our requests and making the best of the situation. Great photos! Geoffrey was able to pose us in really cute and lovable ways as well as getting all of the group shots that we asked for. He was around for every special moment without being in the way of guests. He had photographed our location many times and was familiar with all of the best spots and lighting. We only wish he had paired down a few of the photos before giving them to us. Some of the photos were taken only a second later and were only slightly different, but otherwise the photos are amazing and will be cherished forever.

We got married about a month ago. Portrait Gallery was our very first vendor we met which also ended up being our very last just before our big day. From the beginning, we felt very comfortable with Geoff and his equipment. He was on top of stay in touch with us through email and he made us feel like we were on the top of his list. He asked the right questions and was very pleasant to be around. The moment we met Wendy, everything tied together beautifully. She is such a joy to be around! And on top of it, has a GREAT sense of humor with a side of fun. During the morning of our wedding, Geoff made a point of getting as many picture poses as we requested. He had them all written down and was going down the list. It was super sad to see them leave. Having Geoff pull us aside for a few pictures here and there throughout the evening really slowed down the time for us. It gave us a chance to take a step back and see all the joy surrounding us. That is something we will cherish, as your wedding does go by in a blink of an eye. The 2 things we would suggest that needs work would be to work with friends/family who are videotaping the ceremony. We asked a friend of ours to record our ceremony with 3 GoPros scattered around the ceremony -- to catch the moment for us. But we heard it was slightly uncomfortable approaching you about the arranging of the tripod. GoPros are very small which is why we chose to use them. We wanted the view of our wedding from down the aisle, but you had said it would be in the way. We would suggest compromising a little more :-) And because we had recorded the ceremony, we realized the main picture the bride wanted, and requested, was not captured - a picture of the grooms reaction when he first saw her. :-( But going back to positive thoughts, the pictures were gorgeous! They were at our fingers within 3 weeks. When going through them, the ones that we thought we'd frame, Geoff had done awesome touches to and made them even more lovable. We would strong recommend having Geoff and Wendy as your photographer. They do a wonderful job and work well as a team!

Thom did a great job getting all the pictures we wanted. I didn't really have any idea what wedding photos I wanted, so I wasn't much help when asked about that. It became immediately clear to me, on the day of, that Thom knew exactly what he was doing and that we should follow his lead. Everything worked out, and came out, very well and we really enjoyed working with Thom. He's a great guy, fun to work with, and can even deal with my goofy personality. As they say on eBay: A+++ would do business with again ;)

WOW! Geoff and Wendy did an INCREDIBLE job with our wedding photos!!! We are still in awe! From the start, we knew that great photos were the most important to us, mostly so that family abroad who could not attend would be able to share in our joy. I will be honest - I am a picky bride when it comes to photos! We searched for a photographer who would fit our needs on a limited budget, but who would also deliver high quality photos. We are SO HAPPY to have had Portrait Gallery for our wedding!!! We will be recommending them to all future couples! Not only was Geoff IMMEDIATELY responsive to our first message (and with every single email he replied within a few hours), he also showed us FULL 1500+ photo albums of previous weddings at our venue. This was important because we wanted someone familiar with the location and hoped to see photos in their original form. We were amazed at the albums he created for other couples and decided to book him and Wendy right away! Throughout the course of the year, Geoff was flexible, answering all our questions, and met with us to go over timeline for the day and photos we were looking for. Geoff and Wendy made sure we had every single photo we wanted. They even went to every table to take photos of guests! When we were ready for photos or guests asked to have their picture taken, Geoff and Wendy dropped what they were doing (even mid-bite) to take photos! Shout-out to Wendy for also helping us get ready in the bridal suite and keep everyone calm! A few (very minor) suggestions would be to ensure the background has items removed prior to photos. Our getting ready pictures had some articles of clothing in the background. In some, my hairpiece was falling out (though I am probably the only one to notice), and I do wish we had more photos of the two of us alone in front of our beautiful ceremony archway, but luckily we have hundreds of others to choose from! Geoff and Wendy will always provide photos unique to your wedding, which we are so grateful for! Thank you Portrait Gallery for capturing our memories!

They were both helpful and very responsive. My venue was the Old Lantern and they were very familiar with it and able to offer suggestions on where to take photos. My husband and I met with Thom a few days before the wedding to go over things and he completely put us at ease. We felt he had everything under control. They were easy going and easy to get in touch with as the day approached, and Thom was amazing the day of, managing to capture tons of great moments without ever seeming in the way. The photos are gorgeous-we love them. We are very happy we picked the Portrait Gallery! Rory's Review: Neither Steph or I like posing for photos so we were a little apprehensive about posed portrait photos for our wedding. However, Thom made it as painless as possible. He has a system down and made sure to get all the combos we could possibly want without making it seem like too much of a chore. Overall, he was great.
