I would NEVER recommend Mr Ricks to any friends or family! Mr. Ricks didn't want to listen to helpful suggestions (from those of us watching the pictures being done) about fixing hair and hands and more. He has a rude way of shutting down any suggestions from others too. He would say, "Oh don't worry that won't be in the shot, you're not seeing what I'm seeing, etc.. "..Well what do you know those things WERE in the shot!! What he needs to realize is we are paying for the pictures not HIM! Plan on paying a ridiculous amount for very little! We got ONLY 5 digital photos for 250.00 with sitting fee! Just because you've been in business for a billion years doesn't mean you shouldn't listen to customers concerns and suggestions! He needs to include the parents more in what poses THEY would like to see, since again WE are the ones paying! We ended up with 2 really nice pictures but were very unhappy with other pictures due to hair, hand and double chin problems. :(

Glen is a fablulous photographer! He captured pictures of our family with a beautiful outdoor selected setting (just as we had asked - near a river, with Fall colors). We came away with three unique family pictures and many combinations of our children. He is great with children and captured the unique personalities in time-frozen moments. We would highly recommend him. Be prepared to make an investment, but one that we feel is well worth it.

My first son, I had forgotten to get his picture taken until the day before he left. Glen was kind enough to get him right in so that I wouldn't miss that opportunity. Our pictures turned out great! Had a good experience and Mr. Rick's works very well with children. The only thing I would have to say is it is a little on the pricey side, but you get good quality. I would just make sure you know ahead of time what the costs are so your not caught off guard. Overall great experience and company.

We went to Glen Ricks Photography because my daughter won a portrait sitting. I fully expected to take our free 8x10 and skip the high-pressure sales for overpriced portraits. However, the outcome was more than we ever expected. Glen was wonderful with my daughter, engaging her in conversation and displaying her personality in the pictures. He created the perfect settings, shots and backgrounds, and the results were fantastic! The package prices were reasonable, considering the fabulous portraits we received. Glen Ricks is the Rolls Royce of Photographers. I had a proffesional portrait taken there for my new position on city council. It was so refreshing to have pictures taken by a proffesional. This isn't your cousin who bought an SLR for christmas and thinks they are a photographer. This isn't your wife's friend who runs her photograph business through her blog. This is top notch, quality photography. I was very impressed and will use them agian.

Most expensive place I have ever been. Before the pictures were even taken we were sent back to a room to see what ones we wanted to buy. When we said we didnt want to pay 500$ for 10-15 pictures on a CD, they suggested a payment plan. Im sorry but if you are offering a payment plan for your pictures, YOUR PRICES ARE TOO HIGH. Once we said these prices didnt fit our price range we were shuffled back to the studio to have 2 pictures taken and then rushed out of the office because Glen was late for an appointment.

We have had Glen Ricks take our family pictures twice, five years ago and again this summer. We had to gather 30 people so it was difficult to get all the families together at one time. He was great to work around our schedule and also to photo shop one who couldn't be there at the time of our sitting. We took the picture right there in his back-lot where there were some options for great background scenery. Each of our five children ended up having him take their individual family pictures. Then he did a wonderful job editing the pictures so that we have the best shot of each person. Glen has been great to work with. We now have some beautiful, priceless family portraits that we can enjoy for a lifetime.

To be honest I was a little worried about getting my pictures taken at first. I like to be the one taking the pictures, not the one getting pictures taken of. But with Glen, the worry was taken away. He was funny, nice and definitely knew what he was doing. I am absolutely in love with my senior pictures! I had my wedding pictures taken by Glen Ricks back in 2008. He did such a great job! My wife & I were impressed with the overall professionalism of the studio. We liked that we were treated well and that Glen was quick to answer any of our questions. Originally, my wife didn't want to do bridal portraits, but after talking with Glen she decided to do it– a decision she has never regretted! I think Glen did an awesome job capturing every detail of our wedding, which was really important to us. We were also impressed by the final product- we ended up getting an 11x14 album in their "magazine style". We love it! Valarie, (Glen's wife) was the designer of our album and she was really accessible for any changes or critiques we had about the initial design. She made it a point to make our album special to us. I think one of the things from our wedding that means the most to me was our little "sign in" book. Glen accumulated some pictures from our engagements & my wife's bridals, and organized them into a beautiful little book that everybody signed as they came in. I love to look at it and pull it out often to read what people wrote. In short, our wedding was perfect and Glen did a great job of capturing what it meant to us. Largely because of our pictures, we retain fond memories of every detail. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants a professional, personal experience.

We won a “free” photo shoot. Too bad these guys are a joke and won’t give you the digital prints. Instead you could by minimally a 9x12 for $140 dollars. I would willing to pay the 250 for on site photography if it came with the digital prints. Nope. Get ready to pay micro not so micro transactions. Not trying to be offensive but this “free” photo shoot was offensively deceitful.

I just received my photographs from Glen, and I couldn't be happier with them. This was the second time I've used him. The first time he took photos of my two high school seniors, and they loved their portraits as well. Glen has a nice big studio and took pictures of me both inside his studio and outside on his property. He also allowed me time to change clothes so that I wasn't wearing the same outfit in all of the photos. I liked how he was able to tell me exactly how to pose, and in one pose he re-positioned my hair just perfectly. That turned out to be my favorite photo. Thanks so much, Glen. When I want it done right... and so many times photos from school experience NEVER ARE, I had Glen Ricks Photography do my daughter's SeniorGraduation pictures and announcements. I also had to buy a new gun, ha ha because of how absolutely stunning she was in our purchased items. Yes, they are a more expensive Studio but it was Done Right The First Time and I didn't have to fret with worry. He knows his Stuff! I couldn't be happier with the beautiful family photographs done by Glen Ricks! Glen was easy to work with, very accommodating and selected a beautiful place for the photo shoot! We have 32 people in our family and he was ready to go when we all arrived and from the beginning to end of our photo shoot was only 45 minutes. He did a large family photo, a grandma/grandpa and grandkids photo and then 6 individual family photos of each of our children! The pictures were spectacular! Glen met with us before the shoot and guided us on ways to have a beautiful family picture (colors, clothing type, etc) and the help was amazing because each of our family members looked fabulous! He met with us after for the selection of our photographs and then once they were completed, he came to our home and hung the large family portraits. He was OUTSTANDING and I will definitely us him again for our next family pictures!

We got the pictures taken on Wednesday and were hoping to have the pictures for his farewell on Sunday. His poses are unique, and he really captures your personality in his shoot. He is also very down-to-earth, and made me feel at ease while I was working with him. The editing on the pictures is fabulous. He cleared my skin and I look flawless, without looking fake or airbrushed. He also keeps the photo's you aren't able to buy, so you can always go back and get them on a disk or printed. His staff is also extremely kind and complimentary. My first experience with Glen Ricks was with a free 8x10 for my missionary after shopping at Mr. Mac's. I was crazy about how they turned out! So I went back with my daughter after she won the Miss Orem Outstanding Teen Pageant to get some pictures of her with her crown and gown. Even with 3 clothing changes, in less than an hour we were finished with the best photos she has ever had taken. They were all so good, it was hard to choose favorites. When showing her photos to a good friend, she summed it up, "It's perfection." It really is. Thank you Glen. Now I know why you're the best around.
