BIGGEST SCAM EVER! $317. for 3 8x10 paper prints.... We got a few mailers from this studio for senior portraits over the summer so we called to set up a session. There were a few options, a yearbook photo session & a session with a time limit for more photos and outfit changes ect.... I asked about the yearbook photos and how it works and was told they would get them to the school. So we booked the session. We go to the session there are no caps and gowns to take Senior photos with, the photographer was okay, a little lacking in creativity, the best shots were staged by mom..but all went well. At the session they collect $500...for a proof book and a $300 minimum order deposit to get the proof book.. So okay we paid, Fast forward a few days after the session school starts and my daughter shows her photos to one of the yearbook committee teachers and is told those are beautiful but can't be used for the yearbook....WHAT.....So come to find out Images by Bob studios sent out mailings for senior photos without even knowing if they could be used or not...and they can't. So cant use them and have to pay for another studio who does the school yearbook photos...so we will make the best of it and get the prints we want for family here and get a small package at the next place of just cap and gown (because they have a them on hand for senior portraits)and yearbook photo. Our review appointment was cancelled by them and it was horrible trying to get a reply back to reschedule, kept getting an email back to call the office..I work during their hours.. fast forward 3 weeks and I go to review and order photos and I have about 20 prints some 5x7 and some 8x10's that I need for family and a 11x14 & a 16x20 collage for myself.....as I am selecting 5x7's needed for different people I ask the price..to my surprise 5x7 prints are $99 EACH and 1 (one) 11x14 is over $250!!!!! I was not in shock I was totally disgusted!!! That is absurd!! the prints I needed would have cost me just about $3,000.00 For 21 photos and a collage photo. They dont offer digital files or CD's and no packages at all. I'm sorry, even though my daughter is what made the pictures good. That is robbery!!!! RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY ON MY REVIEW: Images by Bob DiCaprio 1. never once did I say we didn't like the photos, of course we liked the photos. I also have a lot of photos on my my cell phone that people love but it doesn't mean they are going to pay $99 per 5x7 for them..2. You should not solicit business from students offering yearbook photos, unless you know they can be used. Not say after the fact oh well it's the client's responsibility not ours. Bad business or known scam..hmm. 3. You should make clients aware of your over pricing up front. Trust me I can fully afford your prices, however I know when I'm being ripped off. Quality photos can be purchased for a fraction of your prices. 4. You do not offer digital files of our photos you merely offer a link to your website that has a slide show...And lastly Never once did anyone say they were "staying late to accommodate" me. I simply asked if you have any evening hours because I work, that's why I had made my appointment when I was off and I was then given a time of 5:45pm so to the woman who unbeknownst to me stayed late to meet with me, I thank you and I'm also sorry both of our time was wasted. I will get gorgeous Quality senior photos of my daughter just not from you and I will not have to pay 3k to do so. Your response is typical and I'm sure the next one will be too, however I have said what I have to say and if it saves on person from being mislead then that's what matters.
