When my fiancee and I began looking for a photographer for our wedding, we really had contradictory expectations. On the one hand, we wanted someone who we felt comfortable with and who could really take control. After all, we knew nothing about photography. On the other hand, we also wanted someone who would listen to us and understand our vision. In short, we wanted someone who would both take and forfeit control. Chris walked that line perfectly. Before the wedding, Chris met with us, listened to our ideas, and made sure he understood what we wanted. He then added in his own creativity and skill. The result is a set of amazing photos that we both love. We were nervous when it began to snow during the day of the wedding, but the photos were only more beautiful as a result. Our guests were also very at ease with Chris. Having your photo taken can be a bit awkward, but Chris really made everyone feel comfortable. We now have a great array of photos that really capture all the parts of our wedding day. Choosing Chris Kendig as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made. He was there when we wanted him, did his own thing when we were busy, listened to our vision, and added in his own ideas. We couldn't have had a better photographer.
