This photography studio is more than a disappointment! I am not one to normally even write reviews, but for the sake of informing anyone who is looking to get family pictures taken, I would NOT suggest this place! My husband and I and our 5 month old baby boy and our Jack Russel Terrier puppy were planning on getting nice pictures taken to send out as Christmas cards. We were able to find a Groupon deal for this studio and we read pretty good reviews of the studio, so we thought it'd be something worthy to check out. We all had nice matching outfits- even our puppy had a tie on. When we arrived at the studio, I was surprised to find there was no reception desk, but you walk right into the studio itself. It was dirty and the water container was empty. We had to wait fifteen minutes to even begin our session because a couple walked into the studio saying, "We have a complaint." The photographers didn't even ask what we envisioned in our pictures. I asked for a white background and they literally refused to comply. It was suppose to be a family picture, and instead they spent the whole time focusing on getting our dog and our baby in a pose together in a little sleigh on the floor. I was furious! Not to mention, they thought our baby would be cuter if he didn't have his nice outfit on that we had him dressed in. Despite the unprofessional session, things actually got worse! I was told that the pictures would be ready to pick up in about 2 weeks (after our proofing). I only liked 4 pictures out of the 70 or so that were taken! Well... 2 and a half months later we finally got HALF of our pictures! I couldn't make Christmas cards out of these because, even though we got our pictures taken a few days BEFORE Thanksgiving, here it is January 13th and we are finally getting the last photo TODAY! I am beyond furious with this company. I would suggest going somewhere else! I'm amazed this place is even open.

The assistant is amazing with kids, the pic are ok but prices are too high. I bought the CD for $400 with all the pic, so over 300 shoots just 10 are good enough to be printed.

I WOULD GIVE A ZERO IF I COULD, since I was denied any service. I purchased a Groupon for a 45 minute shoot. Got a great deal on it actually, $35. Very excited. I then called Aedan Studio Photography to set up an appointment and requested maternity pictures as I was pregnant. About a week before my appointment, Melissa from the studio called to reschedule my appointment as it conflicted with her "surprise Valentines Day vacation." I complied and rescheduled. I then went into early labor and had my baby 2 days before our appointment. My husband called to request that we get newborn pictures instead of maturity pictures and reschedule at a later date. Melissa agreed. I then called back a few days later to set up an appointment. Melissa said that the newborn pictures would cost $250 and the Groupon could not count towards that balance. The Groupon was to expire within a couple weeks. I paid for a service that she refused to provide and still she expected me to purchase yet another service. BAD BUSINESS!

I had a photoshoot with Melissa yesterday for headshot/business photos. I am blown away by the quality of her craft. Her creative eye is phenomenal. I have worked with a myriad of phtographers for corporate and event photos over the last 30 years and Melissa is the best. Her expertise allows her to create the best images in any situation or setting. She is the consummate professional. She immediately put me at ease - I literally have a phobia about getting my picture taken because they never seem to capture the "real" me. Melissa not only captured my personality, my sass and my essence she made me shine! Melissa is and will continue to be the only photographer I recommend to all my friends and clients. Aedan Studio Photography is fantastic! First of all, photographer Melissa Mills is a consumate professional and all-around trooper! We asked for an outdoor shoot, and predictably the Oregon fall weather (drizzle to downpour) was unpredictable! Despite the nasty turn of weather, she masterfully, was able to tease out the best smiles while extenuating the natural setting. We are pleased with her work, and very much highly recommend Aedan Photography Studio.

For my birthday, I decided that I wanted to take pictures just for fun. I chose to do an outside shoot. I met up with Melissa and Chris at Jamison Square. Upon arriving at the park, I was warmly greeted. We walked around to several different picturesque points in the park and in the streets surrounding the it. I had a very enjoyable experience during that time. Both Melissa and Chris have very real, relatable personalities that made me feel ok to just be. They also have great senses of humor, so I laughed alot. That coupled with encouraging remarks, it was easy to keep a smile on my face. I enjoyed the creativity both in establishing poses and capturing the ones that happened naturally. Because the streets of Portland are never boring, we also collected a few fond memories as the shutter flashed #SaraBeth (insider lol). I went to review my photos a couple days later and to select the shots I wanted. Although I was indecisive, Melissa was super helpful in that process. Overall, I had a great experience! I will recommend Aedan Photography to my friends and will be back if I need any more professional pictures.

Had a wonderful time taking pictures with my wife, newborn, and toddler. The ladies taking the photo were very good with the boys. However, if you care about customer service AND WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO RETURN A PHONE CALL to arrange picking up pictures, go somewhere else. They have posted hours, but may not be in studio. You can call, but so far they have never answered. If you leave voice messages to schedule a pick up, but they do not call back. As a paying customer, it is frustrating. Save yourself the headache and just get a GroupOn for JC Penney's photo studio. They do good work for less, and they answer their phone.

Melissa and her staff did the photos of our wedding. They were fantastic to work with and I received several compliments about their professionalism. She did a great job getting the kids attention by placing a little toy bird over the camera lens. When I saw the photos that she captured of our special day, I realized that despite the costs of having a wedding ceremony, the moments that she captured for us were PRICELESS. We absolutely love Melissa and her staff. We had pictures taken of our little boy after we adopted him, by a different photographer. After trying for over a year to get the pictures, the photographer admitted she lost them. Fast forward 2 years and we had our miracle daughter and obviously chose a different photographer. Not only did Melissa provide us with great photos for our daughter, but she also did several photo shoots of our son so he now has several photo shoot pictures as well. The quality is outstanding and we have always received our photos much faster than anticipated. We can't say enough good things about her. You will not be disappointed.
