Ben and Les were fun yet professional. Their passion for their art shined through in their attitude and creative ideas throughout the day. The weather wasn't the best but they were so upbeat, positive, and got creative with other ideas for inside pictures that the bride wasn't worried at all about her pictures. As a part of the wedding party, I have never had more fun taking wedding pictures than with Ben and Les. Just take a look at their work it really does speak for itself.

Style and Story captured our interest early on in our wedding planning process. I looked at several photographers but I kept coming back to S&S because of their vibrant color and artistic style of photography. Our main photographer was Maykell and he did fabulous work for both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. He was very generous with his time, responsive to emails and texts and answered any and all questions in great detail along the way. His turn around time on photos was incredible! We had our engagement photos back within a week and our wedding photos back within a month of the wedding! We hired a second photographer for the wedding to shoot alongside of Maykell and between the two of them, they covered all angles of each part of the night! The way Style and Story reveals your wedding photos to you is by inviting you to their studio for a viewing party where 12 of their favorite photos are blown up on their display wall and then they show you the digital album on the projector screen. It’s amazing and such a fun way to see your wedding photos for the first time! We are so glad that we chose Style and Story to capture our wedding day!

They work so much harder than any other wedding photographers I have seen. They do a great job explaining how we should pose in the picture to look natural and candid. If you have your own ideas for pictures(i.e. location, pose, etc) they will do everything in their power to get the shots that you want. From the initial consultation all the way up to the wedding day, they made preparing for our wedding fun and really took the time to get to know us to make sure they captured our story perfectly. I first encountered Style & Story five years ago when I was helping my best friend choose the photographer for his wedding. With both of us being photography enthusiasts, we naturally scoured the interwebs and poured through portfolio after portfolio on a variety of photography websites near and far. When we eventually came across Style & Story’s website, we knew the search was over. Their images were unrivaled, balancing a nuanced understanding of light with a keen eye for “the moment,” and we knew “this was the one” (yes, we were crushing the bromance pretty hard at this point). My friend went on to have his wedding photographed by Ben A. and Lacey from Style & Story, and the experience of seeing them work with my friend and his wife had me sold that day. I told myself, “If I ever get married, I’m gonna give Ben a call...” Flash forward four years later, and I did give Ben A. a call after popping the question. Ben remembered me as if my friend’s wedding was yesterday, which was crazy cool and the first of many personal touches my fiancé and I experienced in working with him. Additionally, while we knew our pictures would be amazing based on my friend’s wedding photos (and trust me, ours were), the thing that has stuck with us the most was how thoughtful, passionate, and detailed Ben was on our wedding day and throughout the entire process. He really took time to get to know us over the phone before he flew out to shoot our wedding, and even came to the rehearsal dinner the night before and snapped some pics because he was in town. On the wedding day, he was constantly making sure we were comfortable and having fun, and easily read when we needed a break, some shade, or a drink of water (which he would personally grab for us!). His attention to detail allowed my photographer brain to relax and just enjoy the day because I knew everything was taken care of (which also made the wifey happy). Ben was everywhere without ever being in the way, and there are some truly magical moments he captured because of his candid, photojournalistic style. He listened to ideas we had for some more formal photos, and also helped us see our wedding venue in ways we hadn’t to grab some truly unique shots. After the wedding, we went to the Style & Story studio in Columbus, OH for our reveal (which I would HIGHLY recommend), and the four hours Ben, my wife, and I spent together piecing together our photo album felt like a family reviewing the vacation of a lifetime. It would be easy to write pages full of praise for Ben A. and the care he took towards making our photos and wedding day unforgettable, but I’m sure if you scroll through some of the other reviews they will have done the writing for me.

Ben&Les were exactly what I was looking for in wedding photographers. What I didn't realize, was that they actually were MORE than what I was looking for. Of course they take fantastic pictures, just take a glance at their work. However, they offer much more than this. From the beginning, they made my (now husband) and I feel like family. We didn't have our initial meeting at some random coffee shop or meeting space; we were invited into their home. We were able to experience them in their own personal nest. After this meeting, they stayed in contact with us, giving us plenty of time to think things over, and encouraging us to go with what worked best for us. B&L gave us plenty of credible reasons to choose them other than simply taking great pictures. They were so organized with everything, which calmed this "type-A" personality down. We were given a check list of things and people that we wanted photographed at our wedding, which I loved. On the day of the wedding, I could focus on enjoying the day rather than focusing on "Ohh, make sure you get a picture of that!" As well, these two bring such a professional, yet relational spark to day. Several people commented after our wedding how kind and courteous our photographers were to our guests and to each other. Though it was a busy day, they found a way to use their please and thank yous, which was really encouraging to us, as we were just entering marriage. They exemplified a great team--something my husband and I strive to be. So why do I suggest Ben & Les to photograph your special day? They make you feel special from the first time you meet with them. They give you more than you ask for.

My experience with these photographers was as a bridal party member. I know the bride and groom were very happy with their experience, even from their first meeting with them. Many of the pictures were very beautiful. However, I don't remember many candid photos from that day and every image felt very posed, which is not my favorite style of photography. This seems to be the case with most of their weddings, since most of the images I've seen from different weddings they've shot look very similar and interchangeable. However the bride and groom were very happy with the pictures and it's apparent that the photographers worked with them closely to capture their wedding as they wanted.

Ben and Les were absolutely wonderful. We actually found out the person who was supposed to originally photograph us could not come from Philadelphia to take our engagement pics. I frantically reached out to Ben and Les and they were able to fit us in! (Rare, I know.) We were scheduled for the NEXT weekend! The week leading up to the shoot we shot emails back and forth of location and outfits. Ben and Les even drove down to German Village to get a lay of the land and come up with a gameplan. We loved all of their ideas! The shoot was scheduled for Saturday but rain was in the forecast. I spoke with Ben and we decided to postpone the shoot until Sunday (again rare for photographers to move around schedule!) I am so so so glad we did! The weather on Sunday turned out to be absolutely beautiful! Working with Ben and Les during the shoot was the best part of the experience. They were so charismatic and made us feel like we could do no wrong. Being romantic and comfortable in front of strangers can be hard but Ben and Les made us feel immediately comfortable. The ease is so obvious when you see our shoot. We absolutely love every picture and wish we could find ways to put them everywhere without seeming vain! I honestly can not stop singing their praises and would highly recommend to anyone interested in a wedding photographer. I am so sad that we had booked a photographer on the east coast for our NJ wedding before we worked with Ben and Les or else we would have definitely brought them with us for our big day!

Our family and friends even commented on how friendly they were and how thorough they were at capturing all of the memories from our day. We thought our sneak peak photos from our Baseball Themed Wedding were amazing...and then we received ALL of the photos and were blown away.
