Our first work with Luxe House was our wedding in 2006. Rene captured the essence of it all while making everyone feel natural and comfortable and still being direct about getting the shots she wanted us to have for keepsakes. Since then, we've done two family sessions with her. Last time, last minute, my wife and I decided to just have her photograph the kids because we weren't feeling well. Rene and her assistant told us to stay put and they went frolicking together with our kids in fields surrounded by mountains. The outcome was awesome and surprising. Perfect balance of professionalism and grit. Love Luxe House!

I’m honestly not sure where to begin when it comes to Rene and her work through Luxe House Photographic. Except to say- she is an artist of her craft, has a great heart, an insanely creative eye- and, oh yes, she’s fun to hang out with! (I should know.) I not only hired her as my wedding photographer- Rene also planned, shot, and edited the boudoir book that I gave to my husband as a wedding present. It’s a toss-up on who she made the happiest- my husband with his boudoir book, or me with our wedding album. But, we’re happy! Rene captured some of our most epic moments and turned them into beautiful material objects. And in the process- she was patient and professional, offered trustworthy advice, and proved a well-spring of inspiration. If you’re looking for the standard stock portraits of straight lines and a photographer who will yell at your guests…Rene is probably not for you. But if you’re looking for photojournalistic, classic editorial, fine art bohemian-Ashevillian flare and a photographer who may gently nudge your grandmother if she falls out of step…then, I highly recommend her!

Rene is a superstar! My wife and I had a grand vision for our wedding and thought Rene had the artistic skills to capture it. We recognized how important a talented photographer was for a wedding and Rene exceeded our expectations at every turn. Best photographer! Rene shot our wedding and she went above and beyond!!! She helped pose family and friends who were camera shy. She walked through the venue and took photos of all the special details. She has such an incredible eye, every single picture turned out great! She did a one-on-one session with my husband and I, driving us about a mile away from the wedding venue to do a quick personal shoot. Having that time alone from everyone made us so much more relaxed, and you can see it in the pictures! She added some antiqued edge effects to some of images and they came out just spectacular. I look forward to booking her for every other significant event we want photographed!
