We felt extremely lucky to have Fusion shoot our wedding and engagement session. Deevo and Fusion set the tone for our experience by offering to drive an hour and a half away to do our complimentary engagement session. My wife and I had never been professionally photographed before and so we were probably a little awkward at first, but the Fusion team made us feel comfortable in a hurry. It was really neat to be a part of their process both at the engagement session and at the wedding because while there were obviously the obligatory poses and shots, you could tell Deevo always had his eye out ready to take advantage of a certain light, newly happened upon setting or anything else creative. We never felt like he was just going down the list of stock pictures he needed to take, and if we ever said something like "hey, what if we climbed out on that slippery branch over the water?" he was excited to try it. We didn't realize until after the wedding just how busy the photographers had been. They were extremely efficient with getting all of the photos which afforded us as much time as we wanted to relax and focus on what really mattered that day. They really didn't miss a thing, but at the same time they weren't intrusive at all. In fact, now that we've been able to see all the shots, I realize how little I even noticed they were there. Fusion is really well established in the area, and every vendor we worked with - be it the cake, venue, florist, etc. - were familiar with Fusion and all had had great experiences with them. The videographer that Fusion set us up with did an absolutely unbelievable job. We were originally on the fence about hiring one, but Deevo encouraged us to and we are so glad that we did. In addition to all of this, we were blown away with how competitively their packages were priced. We had shopped around some online, but Fusion was our first and only photography meeting because we couldn't believe what a great value they were. They really had everything we were looking for, and then some! I have recommended, and would recommend Fusion photography to anyone planning a wedding. It was simply great. Also, if you're looking for an underwater shoot, they have you covered there too. Thanks Fusion!

When we first started planning our wedding, Paul and I both decided that photography was one of the most important aspects of the wedding. We both knew that we wanted to find someone who would produce amazing photographs, essentially beautiful memories for us to have of this once-in-a-lifetime event. We had a few wedding photography appointments lined up, but once we met Deevo, we knew that we had found our photographer! Deevo immediately stood out from the rest not only for his apparent talent but also for how professional and personable he was. He assured us that he would get to know us as a couple and figure out exactly what we wanted from these pictures, along with adding his own creative twist. He delivered on all of this and more! We had a few planning meetings with him over the phone and in person to decide on locations, timeline for the wedding day, and our overall expectations. He and his team worked with one another so well while shooting, giving each other inspiration for amazing, creative shots. Paul and I could not be happier with our engagement and wedding pictures. Deevo and the Fusion team completely captured our vision and our personalities. Now we have the very difficult decision of picking which pictures to frame because they are all frame-worthy. I signed on with Fusion Photography because my closest friend/Matron of Honor hired them on for her wedding, and I was blown away with her photos. And I was not disappointed for my day either! The Fusion team is not only very personable, but very professional. When I was deciding what to wear for my engagement shoot (specific patterns and such), I sent them a photo of dresses I was interested in wearing with my cell and they gave me their opinions, they worked with me and my husband (who isn't as social as I am) to make us feel comfortable with our photo sessions, and were very organized on our wedding day. Deevo was nice and professional. Quick email responses from the beginning. We sat down together and discussed about doing an engagement photo session in Charlotte. Flexible time & location. Loved the “freestyle” way of taking the photos, not restricting us from movements. Got the retouched photos and they were lovely and beautiful. I would recommend to anyone who wants to record their stories in a natural but still mesmerizing way. The only thing I’m not completely satisfied is with the hair makeup artist. Charged me $160+ for a “natural” makeup - 10 minutes finishing the makeup and basically no hair style at all (I guess that’s considered to be “natural”).

We wanted more than just good pictures for our wedding and when I came across Fusion Photography’s Instagram profile, I knew we had to meet him. We were originally going to have a big wedding with all of the bells and whistles, a few days before our first meeting with Deevo we decided to elope. A huge thank you to Deevo and his team (Karli)!! I couldn't have asked for a better experience for our engagement session. When we first met Deevo my fiance and I warned him that we were one of the least photogenic couples out there. My fiance and I tend to become very uncomfortable and "awkward" when it comes to photoshoots or taking photos in general. Deevo made our experience exactly the opposite. It is hard for my fiance and I to feel comfortable and be able to open up in certain settings, specifically when it comes to things like this but the moment we met Deevo we felt instantly relaxed and we knew right then he was our perfect fit. Instead of talking business during our initial meeting we ended up talking for over an hour just about life and ourselves. Knowing we were working with Deevo made our engagement session that much more fun. For our engagement pictures my fiance and I knew we wanted the North Carolina mountains in the fall. Deevo jumped on board right away and drove 3 hours up north to capture the perfect setting for our photos. In preparation for the engagement pictures, since I am a very indecisive person when it comes to picking out outfits, I sent Deevo about 30 outfit choices via text. He not only responded to every text but also helped me narrow my options down to 2-3 outfits!! He even set up hair and makeup for me the morning of the session so I wouldn't have to stress about that either!! During the session we hardly noticed the cameras because we were enjoying and hiking many different areas of the blue ridge mountains. It felt like a small vacation to us and Deevo's easy going and fun personality made it that much better. I cannot wait for our wedding day because I know it is going to be only that much more special!!! I would highly recommend Deevo and his team to anyone in the Carolina region, he truly has a creative eye and he knows how to capture the perfect picture without you having to worry about a thing!

Photography is important to me, so when I was shopping for a photographer and I came across Deevo's work, I immediately loved his 'eye'. He was very well prepared for our initial consultation and everything else. The whole team is very personable and we had a great time. The client is most important to Fusion and they truly try to create whatever your vision is. If I didn't know before hand, I definitely knew I had the right photographer when, on my wedding day, while getting dressed at the hotel, I forgot my deodorant. Deevo disappeared and soon returned with a new mini deodorant for me to use. After the wedding I was getting a little tired and a bit aggravated. Deevo broke out a Snickers bar and a bottle of cold water. This saved the day and he happily snapped away. Great people, great customer service, great memories for me and my husband! My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Fusion Photography for our wedding, and were so thrilled to have worked with Deevo and his team. Deevo provided suggestions for several vendors we hadn’t yet finalized and played such a big role on our wedding day. He went above and beyond our expectations when things didn't go quite as planned because he wanted the day to go off without a hitch. He lent a hand to almost every aspect for our wedding, even borrowing a leaf blower to ensure we had a clean outdoor pavilion. The pictures Deevo and his team caught are emotional, personal, artistic, and they were so much fun to work with. He even made a rainy day seem magical.

Deevo is a talented photographer, there’s no question. And he’s a nice enough guy. But his eye cannot compensate for the disappointment and lack of responsiveness we experienced when we hired him to photograph our wedding. We paid for two photographers – Deevo to spend the morning with me and his assistant to spend the morning with my husband. I think he must have hired his assistant the night before, because she was far from a professional photographer. The photos she took of my husband and his family getting ready were a joke. She was too busy smoking cigarettes and messing with her phone to take many photos. At the wedding site, Deevo was taking pictures and two others on his team were also taking pictures. This means that in all of our group shots, no one is looking at the same person. I don’t have a single photo of my bridal party where everyone has their eyes open, looking at the camera. I also don’t have a single picture of my husband and his mom, or my husband and his parents, because no one referenced the “picture list” that we so diligently completed. There were some photos that Deevo did take that were great, but there are a lot of photos that simply were never taken, or were taken without him commanding everyone’s attention. By far the worst part, though, has been with the album. We paid a premium ($2500 if I remember correctly) to have an album printed. We also were supposed to have received a 16x20 farmed print as part of our contract. Our wedding was in April 2016 and I’m still waiting on both the album and the print. It took until December, 2016 for us to receive a first draft (8 months later). Because of the holidays, I forgot to approve it, but finally did in August 2017 (8 months after that). It’s now May, 2019 and I still haven’t received the album or the photo. My husband and I have both followed up multiple times over the past year, via email and text message, but he’s always out of town, or too busy, or whatever other excuse to not finally give us two products that he’s contractually obligated to provide. Just a heads up, his contract says its void if client doesn’t provide required information within 18 months of the wedding date. Thankfully we provided the requisite approval within 16 months (largely because it took 8 months to get a draft) but it looks like I will still have to turn the situation over to my attorney. It’s unfortunate because all of our other wedding vendors were exceptional. You only get married once (hopefully) and it sickens me that I don’t have a frame-worthy photo of my bridal party, a photo of my husband and his mom on his wedding day, or the album for which I paid $2500.

He has a great personality (sometimes a little crazy) but it makes the whole experience so easy! Fusion Photography did fantastic job shooting our outdoor wedding on May 4th at Dilworth Tasting Room. The composition of the photographs was well-constructed and it seemed Deevo knew exactly where to be at all times to get the best shot. He was very professional, punctual, and fun to work with. Our only surprise was the length of time it took to get the photos back (6-8 weeks) but I can also imagine how tedious editing hundreds of pictures is, too! We had a consultation with Deevo in February and I told him I wanted pictures with trees and flowers and to possibly go hiking. And he made that vision come to life plus more!! He and Jess brought us out of our comfort zone and made us feel so comfortable and romantic while being photographed. He did the most awesome things with his camera and he definitely has an eye of what is going to look the best and he’s not scared to put himself in uncomfortable situations to get the perfect shot. If you want to laugh and have the most perfect photos get with deevo! Not only will he do our engagement photos but we will always call him to do our life photos as well!! Thank you a million times!

My husband and I hired Deevo and the Fusion Team to be the photographer for our engagement photos, my bridal portraits, and most importantly our wedding day. Everyone was very professional and had awesome personalities. They made us feel comfortable at every shoot and even had us laughing. They always made sure to capture your wants and dreams in all of your sessions. Deevo will even get you to step out of your comfort zone. There wasn't one picture that I was disappointed in. Here is a piece of advice. If Deevo asked you to do some pose and it sounds crazy or strange to you, don't fight it. Go with it and I promise it will be one of the best poses you will LOVE! :)

My husband and I both work in the wedding industry and as we were planning our wedding in Charleston, we went back and forth about whether to pick a photographer from Charlotte, or one in Charleston. We decided to go with a Charlotte photographer so that we could get to know them a little better before wedding day. I looked at dozens of photographers online until we finally decided to start meeting with different photographers so that we could pick one. Our first meeting was with Deevo, and he was the ONLY photographer we ended up meeting with. When we met Deevo we talked for a while and it seemed like Deevo really understood what we were looking for. My husband and I got in the car afterwards and both said, he's the one. Deevo far exceeded our expectations (which were pretty high). He gets to know you during the engagement session so that on wedding day you are super comfortable with him. He always says he will do whatever it takes to get the shot he wants, and he does. He literally climbed on top of a refrigerator and laid in the most uncomfortable looking position so that he could get the angle he wanted. Not only do we have amazing pictures to remember our special day but I think we walked away with a friend as well. Deevo and his team are all extremely talented and we are so glad we could have them photograph our special day.
