Of all the choices one has to make planning a wedding, Dean Michael’s was absolutely our best pick! If you are on the fence over who to choose, I am here to tell you the professionalism and quality of work with this company is unparalleled to other vendors we vetted! From the moment we went to their studio to check out their offerings, we felt so comfortable. We had the same feeling the day of the wedding as well, just so effortless to work with this group. The team was candid, professional of course, but also made you feel like a friend. The team made all the planning super easy and helped to take each step with us so nothing was overlooked, both for the day itself and the schedule of finances. What I liked was that all the burden of planning was not on us, they really have great experience and made suggestions that really fit well and made it a stress-free process to capture our special day. We selected 2 of the higher end packages for photo and video. Although the prices seemed like a lot at the time (we had NO wedding experience through friends or family), we quickly learned they were right on target with the market and now post-wedding, we feel it was SO worth every penny and more! The quality of photos and the attention to detail is remarkable! No detail was overlooked and we have so many different angles and options to choose from. Making our album was actually really difficult because we had so many good options! Our album and video are absolutely outstanding! For the album, we went with a designer coffee table option and let me tell you, it’s huge! I couldn’t believe how heavy it was, due to the thickness of cover and pages which really give a great feel when looking through the album. Each photo is crystal clear and the arrangement and layout they created really makes it feel like a book of art, not just a series of photos. For the video, we received a minute trailer, a 10 minute video, and roughly 5 hours of raw cleaned footage. The effects they put into these videos is incomparable! This group really creates film, not just video. The artistic creativity is easily seen in how they overlapped our MOH/BM speeches with the day, with extreme detail to the words being said and the emotions being captured and displayed. The combination truly is amazing and no dollar value on a package can truly capture that. We will forever cherish both the video and album and the experience we had on our wedding day! We had a fantastic experience with Dean Michaels studio! We used Dean Michaels for our engagement shoot as well as our wedding on March 24th. Rich was our lead photographer for both the wedding and the engagement shoot. What's great about Dean Michaels is they place you with a photographer who they believe matches with your personalities the best. We requested to have a photographer who was more traditional and we got exactly that. What's also great is they have a team that specializes in the different elements of photography. So, Rich took the photos while another person edits or designs your Save the Dates or Thank You cards. Not even two weeks later, we received our weddings photos...all 2,700 of them! Rich brought along Laurie as well as an intern Ben. We got a 3 for 2 deal! Rich and Laurie were almost exact opposites of each other style wise but that is why our photos have a great mix of traditional and modern photos. We just wished we had more photos of our family (our morning wedding was pushing the time). There were also some poses we were hoping would be better then how they turned out. However, everyone was professional and you can tell they truly appreciate the art of photography. It is a great company but it is a company. Therefore, if you're looking for a more personalized one-on-one experience, Dean Michaels may not be the right option for you.

After reading so many 5-star reviews, we've decided to hire Dean Michaels 2 years before our wedding! We also requested Maggie at that time (since her name was on most reviews) but they said they had to wait until it was close to our wedding date. When I called 6 months prior, I was thrilled when they said Maggie was free on our wedding day! Now I know why she's highly praised - she's amaaazingggg! We were only able to afford 1 photographer but mannn, she's a one-woman army! We were all so blown away at her good attitude & professionalism! I started collecting picture-ideas months before the wedding so I had about 4 pages of pix emailed to them. She called me a week before to inquire about the itinerary & I love how she took down notes; we were also surprised at how many "poses" she remembered from those 4 pages of ideas I sent! You definitely want someone to be attentive to your requests & remember them on one of your busiest, yet memorable, days! She & our videographers also worked so well together, we had such a blast laughing with them! Now after receiving our pictures, we are so thankful that we chose DM & Maggie - thank you for capturing soo many beautiful memories & emotions on one of the most important days of our lives. We love you, Maggieeee!!!

We originally met with Rich, and he made us feel so welcome during our "consultation" and didn't pressure us to go for a package that was out of our budget. Dean Michaels is an excellent photography company! We used them for both our engagement and wedding day photos. Rich met us in Central Park for our engagement photos and spent many hours making sure we he captured the perfect photographs. He was upbeat and is passionate about his job. They were very responsive over email in the months leading up to the wedding and the communication back and forth made me feel very confident in our decision to hire them as our wedding photographer.
