We hired Danielle for a half day documentary with big plans of capturing our family on a trip to a secluded beach. As the day approached and the forecast was calling for winds to be in excess of 20 knots, we wanted to bail. We had no plan B. Danielle convinced us to keep the appointment and she turned our morning with nothing to do into a masterpiece. Even during the session I felt disappointed knowing we missed our opportunity at the beach. However, what makes Danielle exceptional is her ability to make an ordinary day into a work of art. Danielle came one winter morning before Xmas and captured our family making pancakes. The idea was for her to just “shoot away” as we went about our normal weekend morning routine. It takes a special person to be able to pretend to be a “fly on the wall” and capture the true essence of a family so well. Instead of carefully planned poses, the photos Danielle captured that morning are raw and true. The photos of my daughter and son especially freeze them at the tender ages of 5 and 8 and you can see their true personalities in every shot. Not every family photographer has the guts to do this kind of photojournalism and Danielle does it in a way that acknowledges the essence of family, the vulnerability of parenthood and the grace of childhood. We hired Danielle for a Friday night photo session on Cape Cod for our family of 6, plus our dog. I worked all day that Friday near Boston, and rushed down to the Cape in heavy traffic to make the photo session. Needless to say, I felt frazzled and discombobulated but the photos Danielle took were amazing!!! She made me feel at ease and happy within the first 5 minutes, and my four children were so excited for some Friday night fun because of Danielle's spectacular attitude. The positivity and love was definitely present in all of the photos. I highly recommend this photographer!!
