Mr. Thomas Mangelsen is a master of the camera. His nature/landscape photography is world-famous and his fans can spot his style literally across a room. He gets up close and personal with nature and captures it in ways you only can pray that someday you are 1/4th as good, on your best day. The Old Market area is in downtown Omaha and it houses this artistic gem. The door is open and welcomes you in to the brightly lit gallery of wooden floors and displays of color prints of all sizes. You can purchase a cheap postcard of Tom's works, a great coffee table tome, or a 10 foot long panorama. Prices depend on the type of work, popularity and size. A lot of this stuff is expensive. Find what you want and save up of you have to. The enjoyment it will bring will be priceless. The gallery's staff are friendly and they know the works. They are not pushy, will let you soak up the work and answer any questions. I find it relaxing to just drop by and soak in the relaxing atmosphere.

I absolutely love Mr. Mangelsen's work, and he has some of his best at his studio. His nature shots are real; his patience pays off with some amazing nature shots that capture the seeming "emotion " of the animals. His work is the best souvenir you can bring home from this area.

A wonderful gallery of wildlife and landscape scenery. Thomas Mangleson is from Nebraska yet his photography projects have taken him all over the world. Many of his photos have become famous works of art. The Mangelson Galley is located near the Old Market and is free to the public.

Had no idea who Mangelsen was nor that this gallery existed. But as me and the family walked past on our way to find some dinner a print caught my eye. I went in there and found out that my wife also saw this print and of course I inquired about it. The gallery manager was very helpful and informative about Mangelsen and his work. We discussed the price of the piece and I walked away saying I couldn't spend that kind of money on a piece of art. So of course the next day I walked in and bought it! I couldn't stop thinking about the piece and think that I may start collecting more of his work. Darn this man and his images that haunt me.Lol. I will say that I walked in again today and met two more outstanding people that work here. We discussed Mr. Mangelsen and his work once again as well as life in general. Definitely coming back here on my next trip to Jackson.

Our favorite gallery in Jackson Hole - what a gem!

We wanted to view some local artwork while in town and maybe even take a piece home with us. After finding several of the galleries closed, we entered this one and were enchanted by the stunning photography. We spent a long while exploring the three levels, and the gentleman there (not Tom but a new team member) was gracious in answering my questions. After some discussion and visiting other galleries we returned and settled on one image that had captured both of us. The lady there patiently answered all of our questions about framing, formats (paper vs. canvas), delivery and artwork in general (e.g., limited editions), and we settled on a size and presentation that suited us. We're looking forward to receiving our photograph, and we may well continue to follow the artist to keep up with new images.

Mangelsen's photos are quite astounding. This gallery features three floors of his stunning photography including many scenes from right in Grand Teton National Park. You'll get up close and personal with one of the local icons - the grizzly mom known as 399. There are many items to purchase and our kids enjoyed a play area and the many toys available to purchase. Photos on the lower floor are open for purchase in many different styles. Glad we stopped in!
