Took my fiancé in and got some photos done. The people there were fun and made the experience worth the time to get dressed up. They had great ideas about what would be funny for our photos. We had a really good experience. Going back when we want more done and bringing more family.

The owners and staff of Old Time Photos on Madison Ave were so wonderful and extremely patient with our large group of 18. Very systemicatic and professional. Highly recommend this for any family or group who plans on visiting the area. We definitely weren’t disappointed. Also the frames available to purchase for your amazing photo are exceptionally priced!

My wife and I have went 2 days in a row. Yesterday they left a note on the door deciding to close at 2 in the afternoon and we had arrived at 2:15. They said they would be open at 10:00 this morning. We arrived at 11:20 to find yet another note saying they would be back at 11:00. I find this a terrible way to run a business and gave only one star because I had too for the review. After a complete waste of time for a couple on their honeymoon I suggest you spend your time and money on a place that cares about the business and the customers.

I saw the 1* review. I have no idea what they did to upset the staff, but they were great with my family and the friends with us. Seems like there may be two sides to that story. Anyway, we had a great time and loads of laughs. Coming up from the South was a whole new experience for us. We had never been to Montana. The people there made our trip worth it. I didn’t know getting dressed up and put into old timey clothes could be so much fun. We had a “ gun fight” in the saloon with our 4 kids and it was the best time this week. We want to bring them back as teenagers and do it all over again. Kathy was funny and made the kids laugh so much. We highly recommend this place as part of your vacation.

I just can't even describe how happy I am with my experience at Madison Avenue Old Time Photos. Brad and Kathy couldn't have been any nicer, the set was hilarious, they made us feel totally comfortable, their prices were very reasonable, and the finished product was just perfect. I expected to like my photo, but every time I look at it I laugh. It's so much better than anything I could have hoped for and our experience with them was one of the best highlights of our trip out west. They framed it for us and everything, an added bonus I wasn't expecting, and it was the greatest souvenir I could have possibly come home with. Our picture was of us at the "saloon" and my husband hung it accordingly right above our liquor cabinet when we got home for everyone who visits our home to see and have a great laugh about. Will make me happy every time I look at it!

I had a extremely disappointing experience at Old Fashioned Photos in West Yellowstone. I don’t recommend it, but if you do go, make sure you know exactly what outfit you want, what pose you want, and exactly what package you would like to purchase before you arrive. Don’t act overly excited, don’t ask too many questions, beware it is a 15 minute time window to dress and take your photos, and beware you might be treated severely disrespectfully, very possibly putting a damper on the rest of your vacation. In response to the owner, I’m afraid Kate was being dishonest with you. You can ask the young girl who was working with her that day. When we were discussing prices I mentioned maybe we can photo copy, and she said that we couldn’t, so I relayed that information to my friends and we had decided to instead purchase a digital package. We did not argue in the least about the charge for the baby, we simply asked if she counted as a person, and accepted that she did. I apologize for the extra time we took, we did not realize it was a time crunch. However I had not even fully put on one thing before she asked us to leave. No other girl had begun changing and it had NOT been 15 minutes. This whole experience is making me feel unwell. And I will no longer let it poison me. I will forgive and move on. I sincerely hope Kate never treats any more of your customers the way she treated us.

This place is the gem of West Yellowstone. We were there for family photos and Kate & her assistant were warm and welcoming, making us comfortable from the very beginning. She also shared her personal stories of the Wild West from back in her day. We recommend her highly professional behaviour & photography skills, as well as the entire experience that teleports you to the olden days!

I've walked by this building many times in my years going up to West Yellowstone. This year, I finally decided to go in and I'm glad I did. The costumes were fun, the staff was friendly and professional, and they were able to keep our six young kids happy as we took our photos. It was a very pleasant experience and we love the way the pictures turned out. Plus, as an added testament to the good people running this place, our van had a dead battery when we left, and they were kind enough to give us a jump start. Stopped by on Labor Day to get our family pictures taken. What an awesome experience! The costumes were fantastic (and simple to put on). The staff made everything from choosing costumes, posing, adding props that add to “the story” etc, so easy and fun. We had a great time and loved so many of the pictures! The toughest part was choosing which ones were our favorite. Thank you so much for the fun family memory! This is our favorite vacation souvenir by far. We’ll definitely be back to do it again!

We were in town visiting from Boise and decided to stop in. I am glad we did. They were so friendly. He was funny and so polite and really made us feel comfortable. There was a new gal there who was super sweet. It was a great start to the day. Thanks for the memory!

We had a wonderful experience taking photos here. Kathy was great! I even came back months later and she was able to print one of the photos we had previously taken. I highly recommend this as a souvenir for your Yellowstone vacation.

I’m not sure who Kathy is that everyone is talking about and who we got when we went but it was a TERRIBLE experience!!! We were celebrating our 10yr anniversary as roommates in college. There were 4 of us and a baby. We rubbed her wrong from the start. I don’t think we could do anything right or ask any questions with out her getting frustrated. She asked what name we wanted on our resveration so we told her “room mates” she didn’t like that answer and annoyingly responded, “ok that’s gonna fit in my computer.” ??? Would you prefer Laufenburg or Schwartz then which are real last names and just as long?! So we had her put “roomies” instead. We looked at pictures before our time slot. Time comes to get started and we ask about prices, we have a hard time understanding so we ask a few questions to try to decide which package we wanted, she obviously hated that. She was annoyed after EVERYbquestion we asked and looked at us like we were stupid. We get ready to get dressed and the costume is too small for my friend and she is unsure how to put it on, the lady FREAKS out and starts telling us we are DONE. She says, “if we couldn’t figure out what we wanted to wear after 15 min looking in the picture book then we are DONE. We are DONE, I’m done I’m done.” Like 3-4 times over! She tells us we are running out of time and will need to reschedule so I CALMLY say “that’s ok we aren’t upset, we can reschedule. We’re sorry.” Well, she continues to huff and puff walking back and forth repeating herself more that we are DONE. She eventually stomps off to the back. So we can’t come back??? She sure made us feel that way. So unprofessional!! She was such a hot head I don’t know how she handles all these groups who come in bigger than our group. She was a complete stress ball maniac. Heaven forbid anyone come in not knowing how to put a hussy costume on because they have never put one on before and heaven forbid she picks out a costume too small for you... you could get kicked out!

My family had the best time. They made us feel welcome and at ease. Brad took our pictures and had everyone laughing. Kathy dresses everyone and made us look like we were “back in the day”. Highly recommend this place for friends and family photos. We had a great time with lots of laughs.

This one one of the most exciting things we did while in West Yellowstone. We had so much fun and even learned history about the area while getting pictures made. Brad and Kathy made the experience even more fun with the light hearted joking and fun poses. I could not have asked for a better time or even “old time” than what we had.
