Kristine came out to our home to take photographs of me, my husband, and my two and three year old. It was extremely convenient to work with her since she's able to do absolutely everything online. She's also great about giving you reminders regarding your session. I need that because, as mom to two tiny kids, my brain is often fried. When Kristine arrived she was very warm and put us at ease immediately. I hate having my picture taken but she made it very comfortable. My toddlers took to her immediately and had the best time even though they had been at preschool and were tired that evening. The pictures turned out so beautifully. It was the best experience and we will most definitely be having her photograph our family again.

We were already following Kristine on Instagram when we got engaged. She was the very first, and one of the best decisions, we made for our wedding. After the first meeting with Kristine we were completely sold, not only by her beautiful photos and albums, but also by her genuine and caring personality. We instantly felt comfortable with her and she left us even more excited for our big day. We were both pretty nervous for our engagement photos, but one of us in particular was not looking forward to it at all. He has never felt very comfortable in front of a camera before, but as soon as we met up with Kristine all of that went away. Her excitement and laughter rubbed off on us and it was the most fun either of us had ever had with a camera. We didn’t want it to end! In between our engagement photos and the day of our wedding Kristine kept in touch with us to make sure our plans were running smoothly and to offer any help she could. She even offered suggestions on timelines and had us fill out checklists to ensure the day ran smoothly and we got everything we wanted out of it. She was always quick to answer any questions we had. On the day of our wedding, Kristine was absolutely incredible. She was with the wedding party before the ceremony and she felt more like a friend than a hired photographer. She was completely patient, creative, and so much fun! The photos she took weren’t like the usual wedding photos we often see that are stiff and boring. They were candid and real. She accommodated all our requests for specific shots and surprised us with memories we will get to enjoy for the rest of our lives. Kristine added so much more to our day than we thought possible. On top of all that she was able to get our pictures and photo album to us within only a few months after our wedding day! Thank you Kristine!!

One of the best decision we made for our wedding was hiring Kristine! During the beginning stages of planning, we were living outside of Montana (though having our wedding in Missoula) which made looking for local vendors a bit difficult. I spoke with half a dozen other photographers who seemed disinterested in talking about their experience or answering my questions. It was like a breath of fresh air when Kristine and I got to chatting. She is so genuinely nice and personable, and really knows how to put people at ease. She is super responsive and just plain fun to be around. Our wedding guests loved her and she captured so many beautiful moments from the night. First and foremost, Kristine took excellent pictures throughout our wedding celebration. She was always professional and responsive to emails and phone calls. Everyone in the wedding party enjoyed her presence (many people made a point to mention that to me in the weeks after our wedding). My husband resists, and kind of outright hates, having his picture taken; Kristine managed to get several of him that will probably always be my all time favorites. I hate that we've moved from Montana, but if I ever get the chance to have her photograph my new little one or our family, there is no question that I would hire her again and again. Our wedding was an elopement so it was just the two of us plus an officiant and Kristine. Naturally we were a little nervous about how it was going to play out as we had never met Kristine or our officiant before, nor had either of us ever had this kind of photography experience before. We chose her based on the fact that everyone looks like they are happy and having fun in the photos she has on her website. Now we know why: Kristine is absolutely wonderful. From the first moments she put us at totally at ease. She was energetic and excited to be there, able to direct us without awkwardness or confusion and just generally great to get along with. We had also never been to Glacier National park before, so we didn’t have a lot of ideas about how to get the best photos, but Kristine knew exactly where to go. She took us to several locations along the Going to the Sun road and got tons of great photos that look great both in color and black and white. Her website and photo options for printing/downloading/etc are all very easy to access and tailor to one’s needs. Kristine is a consummate professional who does fantastic work while making it feel like you are just hanging out with a friend. We could not have had a better photographer. Thanks Kristine!

We are giving Kristine Paulsen Photography 5 stars only because they don’t allow us to give her 10. Our entire experience with Kristine was top shelf excellent. From the initial meeting all the way through picking up our final prints was organized and easy. We have a daughter entering her senior year of high school and she has social anxiety. It usually takes her quite a while to warm up to someone. The session she had with Kristine was spectacular. Kristine knew exactly how to make her comfortable and make the whole experience a positive one. My wife and I can tell how comfortable our daughter is based off her smile. We know when it is forced or faked and every one of her smiles was genuine. Kristine’s work was absolutely phenomenal. She knew all the best places along the Clark Fork and in downtown Missoula to get the best pictures. We even had our dog for a portion of the session and that went wonderful. Our daughter had such an enjoyable time with her. We can’t recommend Kristine enough. This is the last time we will need graduation pictures, but you can be assured if either of our kids get married in Western Montana, we will be using her.
