Linhoff Photo is where you go for great service and quality prints! The employees are skilled and have great attitudes to boot. If you care about your images you will spend the extra bucks- and you will be happy you did.

This past summer, I wanted to create a photo book for my sons' 50th birthday, a history of their lives from infancy to the present. I went to Linhoff Photo, where Laurie Phillips and Jim Linhoff did a FANTASTIC job of putting together my project. The finished product is remarkable, truly high-quality, and affordable. The folks at Linhoff are knowledgeable, dedicated professionals. Laurie worked on my project remotely while on vacation, certainly above and beyond the call of duty. One day while I was dealing with Jim, there were customers lined up waiting, and I said he should take care of them, since my work was time-consuming. He replied, "No, you're the most important customer in here right now." Linhoff Photo is just the best, that's all there is to it!

Great group to work with! Very organized and fun group of people! I would definitely recommend this business to any team looking to hold team and individual photo sessions.

I have only used their services once but I cannot foresee myself ever going there again. I just picked up the first roll of 120 film that I had processed there and the service was spotty and the final product was absurdly awful. First the service: When I dropped the film off, I clearly expressed my desire to have it scanned, however I received a phone call two days later asking if I wanted it scanned. I understand that sometimes things get confused so I wasn't too upset about it but it shows the lack of organization. Reading other reviews makes it look like I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Next, the final product: I'd be willing to overlook some service issues (again, it wasn't terrible for me, just not great) if the final product was what I was looking for. In my case, it was unbelievably awful. I would have expected a pro lab to be able to give me quality scans of reasonable quality but they look absolutely amateurish. The color profile of the scans were incredibly dull and flat--not what I was expecting from Kodak Portra. There is some interpretation involved in adjusting colors but this was bad. Even worse, nearly all of the scans have very obvious dust marks all over the frame and in some of them you can see fingerprints. The most egregious defect in the bunch is in one frame where you can literally see a piece of tape across the top of the image. If I want to use these pictures for anything I will clearly have to get them rescanned, but there are fingerprints all over the negatives which will obviously need to be cleaned off before rescanning. I don't know if my experience is an anomaly, but it was so bad that I cannot ever recommend their services to anybody.

It is disappointing for me to write this review, as I had been a loyal Linhoff supporter for many years – developing many rolls of 120 mm film for reasonable prices and good quality. My last few experiences have been really, really disappointing. I took an original photograph of my grandparents from their wedding day to be reproduced, and it was lost for several weeks. It was devastating as I found out a few days before my wedding and had to tell my grandmother. Eventually it was found – but caused a lot of unnecessary stress and showed a lack of care about one-of-a-kind originals. To make it worse, the reprints were incorrect. The customer service was very poor as they were apologetic but still charged me for the incorrect prints and sent me on my way with a "we hope we'll find it around here somewhere." I had to call several times to speak to the owner and try to get my money back days before my wedding. I decided to give them a second chance with some rolls of lomography film from my wedding day. I brought them in and was told they'd be ready in a week and I'd receive a phone call. Two weeks passed and I did not hear anything - so I stopped in. They did not have any customer service representatives working on a Saturday and the two women working were unable to locate my film, though they had receipts that it had been sent out and came back. Again, there was little reassurance about them finding it and I was sent on my way with a "hope it turns up." Eventually they found out that it had not come back yet – but again it was devastating to know that photos from my wedding may have been lost in the shuffle. Finally, the film came back and had been underexposed. They printed them anyway and charged me $20 for a bunch of black photos. It seems like a small owned business would take a look at the film before it was printed and call a customer to see if they still wanted prints made. Overall, there has been a real slip in organization and customer service. If something goes wrong, I trust a small business to do the right thing and make it right. In both instances the issue has been solved but I have never once been reassured they are making it a priority. The place also begs for a more sophisticated filing system and training of employees. No one ever knows where my film might be when I go in. Sadly, I will be finding another place to develop.

Excellent experience working with Laurie! I had several photos that were 40 years old, that needed restoration of quality, color, and sizing. They were for a special family remembrance, and the old, beatup, discolored prints were a treasure to our family. Laurie handled them with care, with heart, and with the professionalism to work her magic to restore them to the highest quality images possible. Very much impressed and thankful to Linhoff Photo and it's staff!

I used to swear by this place for film processing but the past three times the prints I have received have been inconsistent, I have also been charged several different prices, and am sure to double check my order before I leave as things are constantly missing or compromised. I will not be returning.

I have been going here for about a year with film processing and scans. Overall, they do a great job. I have had a few hiccups with scans that were bad and they rescanned them only after brought it to their attention. Faulty machines? I don’t know. They got some new hardware recently and hopefully that equates to higher quality. Turn around times for C41 is usually about 2 days or less sometimes. B&W is 1 week or more.

Meh at the best There are two places with the Linhoff name right next to each other. This is for people who are just sending in film to have it developed, or are have digital prints made. If all you are doing is having a print made, these guys do a decent job. However for the few film shooters out there, here is a word of caution. I have had over 20 rolls developed here, they no longer do it in house, but rather send it out else where. The price for one roll of 120mm development is $15 for color, and $17 for black and white. This makes shooting film completely cost-prohibited. If you want scans of the film without the dust showing it'll be $30 a roll with development. Oh yeah, because whoever they send it to doesn't maintain a pro quality environment, and the film comes back with dust dried into the emulsion. Also whenever I go to pick up my processed film they have a hard time finding it, the store itself seems disorganized. All in all I develop and scan my own film now. Otherwise I'm paying almost $4 a frame for a roll of 120mm. Total cost linhoff: $37/roll (film+development+scan) Price after initial $100 investment in developing gear: $9/roll (film+chemicals+time) Film shooters don't have the biggest choice in the cities, Walgreens will treat your 35mm film even worse. One place to check out is West Photo. Your experience may vary. The people there are great, if you're shooting digital it's a fine place to go to, just not for film.

I got 120mm film developed there and they did a great job. Krissa and Sally were great on the customer service end and answered all my questions and were very nice and friendly. Will definitely keep getting film developed there!

Wonderful experience at Linhoff photo! I had a complicated job that needed to be done quickly. Everybody in the store was so helpful, and they were able to do what I had been afraid would not be possible. I was very impressed! Friendly service and very reasonably priced. This place is an old-fashioned family business and they take care and pride in doing their job well.

To have your old home videos brought back to life in digial format is truely a humbling experience! I felt safe leaving my childhood memories in their hands. The conversation quality was better then expected. Thank you so much Linhoff for taking good care of my treasures and warming my heart!

Summer is very helpful!

Our family has had the great opportunity to work with Linhoff Photography many times over the last 8 years. Every time the finished product was excellant. From the photographer to customer service and then the processing of the pictures has always been first class.

Biggest scam out there. They even copied the NEW portraits by linhoff idea off of the place down the street. You can tell they stole someones work. This place does not even compare to Target.

If you want to process your film and get it screwed up this is the place to go! I've had rolls come back "With nothing on them" when I know the entire roll was exposed correctly. I've had slide film come back processed either cross-processed or processed in black and white, but it clearly wasn't processed E-6 like it should've been. I have lost far to many good photos because these people do not take care of your film. They don't know their own prices and often will over charge you. They say it will only be a few days to get your stuff back, that turns into weeks with no contact from them. Awful place to get your film processed or any other photo stuff done. Find some place to mail your film to. Screw Linhoff.

After waiting many weeks for them to complete development of my 35mm film I get to their store for pick up and return home. Guess what I find? Photos that weren't MY photos but instead another customer's photos! The CDs that I ordered had some of my photos, and then some photos from another customers! If you value privacy of your photos, if you value your memories and don't want them to become lost or taken home by another customer, then I would recommend you never use Linhoff. There was no apologies, discounts offered or compensation for the mistake at all from any Linhoff employees and it took another whole month before I ever got my corrected photos from them!! If you've made such a huge mistake with a customer, you would think they would expedite the service to get it to you same day? It does not take long to do it all, they even did it in 20 minutes when I noticed that a print was missing and mentioned it to them in store. Unfortunately I could not check the CDs at their store, so I didn't know the photos in the CD was wrong until I got home!

Great customer service, longstanding family owned business. They do a really personal job with everything. I have a gotten film developed there, a photo mug gift (that was very well received) and always experienced great customer service.

Laura Pedrelli

This place is the best for quality and customer experience. I have brought in old photos to be restored, and made prints of photos from my phone. Lindhoff staff has patiently helped me edit my photos, which quickly printed out with excellent quality. Again, the experience and quality you’ll get here cannot be beat!
