When my bride-to-be and I were planning our wedding, we called Jeannine Marie based on the recommendation of a friend. Within five minutes of meeting her, we felt like we'd known her for years; she is incredibly friendly, kind, and fun to be around. Her goal was not to make money, or get us out the door quickly - her goal was to help design and create an experience that we would cherish, and she would feel proud of. She has a few basic pricing packages to start with, but is absolutely willing to customize the plans in any way, and in any case is very reasonably priced given the caliber of her work. On our wedding day, she was a constantly fun and exciting presence, and somehow took so many great pictures, fulfilling every request we made, without ever being intrusive. My wife and I would never have imagined how beautiful the pictures came out! And their formatting made it incredibly easy to share with friends and family. A wedding photographer is someone you may only get to choose once, and if you're like me, it's hard to know where to start looking. If you're getting married or engaged, and you're anywhere near the Twin Cities, Jeannine Marie is the person to call - she was easily one of our best decisions! She will take care of you and help create memories that will last a lifetime.

She was fun, interesting, friendly, and incredibly experienced and professional and full of good cheer--which is a really big deal, it's SUPER important that your wedding photographer is good at dealing with large groups of people for long lengths of time. I don't know where to start other than to say that Jeannine is absolutely amazing!! She truly made our wedding day and blew everyone away with her professionalism, energy, and passion for what she does. I would highly recommend her to anyone (I actually already have) and my bridesmaids cannot stop singing her praises. Jeannine runs her company just based off referrals and books up quickly, which tells you how much people enjoy working with her. We were married at Hazeltine National Golf Club, and before our wedding she went and scoped out the location on her own. Jeannine was very easy to communicate with and her prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the level of service she provides. Everyone we worked with for our wedding was great, but I would say that Jeannine was by far the best. She more than exceeded our expectations!!! Jeannine kept things moving quickly and on schedule, provided clear direction to everyone (she knew the names of the wedding party within the first half hour), made us all feel very comfortable/relaxed, and recommended additional places for pictures that ended up turning out beautifully. At the wedding things were running a little late and she stayed late to get pictures of our first dance. When I tried to tell her that she should go, she told me "This is all a part of your story - I want to be here to capture it". Wow. Jeannine really truly loves what she does and it shows. She had a preview gallery ready for us immediately and has done an incredible job following up after the wedding with the rest of the pictures. The pictures turned out gorgeous - when we've shown them to people, instead of just commenting on our wedding, almost everyone says something along the lines of "Wow, you guys had an amazing photographer!" I cannot say enough good things about Jeannine and would tell you if you're considering her for your wedding, just take the leap of faith and do it. You will be blown away.

Wow, where to begin… we were beyond impressed with everything Jeannine did for us. Not only is she an incredible photographer, she’s also down to earth, approachable and immediately makes everyone around her feel relaxed. This is the perfect combination for a wedding photographer. We had met her and saw her in action at a few of our friend’s wedding’s, and knew before we were even engaged that she HAD to be our wedding photographer. We kept our priorities in order and made sure to book with her, even before we booked our venue! It was obvious from the first time we met with her, that she was an absolute pro. Her years of experience showed immediately, when she went above and beyond her duties as a photographer. She recommended a few ceremony locations (we were still undecided at that point), and helped us pin down a realistic pre-ceremony timeline that ensured we got every photo we wanted, without ever feeling rushed or stressed during our big day. She also suggested adding a “photo race” to our reception, which neither of us had ever heard of before. It was a huge hit, and it allowed us to get a photo with every single person at the reception, which became a nice personal touch to our thank you notes. Beyond that, she worked with us to make sure we were able to find a photography package that fit within our budget. On our wedding day, things couldn’t have gone any better, thanks in part to her excellent planning, and perfect execution of everything we had discussed. We had a large wedding party, 5 different pre-ceremony photo locations, family photos and a full group shot of everyone at the ceremony on the docket for the day, and Jeannine handled it all in stride. All while cracking jokes, keeping things on schedule and making sure everyone she was around was smiling and having a great time. Working with her couldn’t have been easier. She handled everything from start to finish, and was incredibly responsive with answers to any questions that came up throughout the planning process. After the reception, she followed through right away with sending us a sneak peek of our photos, and we couldn’t believe how quickly we received the rest of the photos. Not to mention, she put together an impromptu slideshow at our reception, of photos she took earlier that day! THE PHOTOS! After we looked through all 1,100 photos she sent us, we couldn’t believe how perfectly she captured the entire day. Picking which photos to print became a challenge, because of how many great options she gave us. She did a phenomenal job of telling the story of our wedding day through a mix of candid and posed moments, catching small details of the décor and food we chose, and most importantly, she made sure we were looking our best in the photos we’ll have on display for the rest of our lives. We received a lot of compliments from friends and family on reception decor, and the doughnuts we served for dessert, but by far, our guests were most impressed with Jeannine. Throughout our entire wedding day, and to this day, people have continually told us how much fun she was to be around, how her passion for photography really shows, and that our photos are “unreal,” “gorgeous,” the “best wedding photos they’ve ever seen.” We couldn’t agree more. She had so many ideas of poses and places to take photos and was able to fit so many different photos into our session. But more importantly, Jeannine gave us the most gorgeous photos of our big day that we will cherish for a lifetime. Let’s just say we had a wedding party of 13 that love to be loud and obnoxious- gotta love ‘em! Jeannine took charge and got every person in his or her place, while staying courteous and fun! She made sure we got photos with everyone! I would not have changed a single thing about our photography. This was our most important vendor and we are so happy with our decision to go with Jeannine!

Leading up to the day she was so patient and helpful with the fine details of the schedule for the day! It was her idea to do a first look with my Mom since I was wearing her vintage dress! The day of she was a joy and she stuck around the whole night to capture every minute of our party! I used to work in the wedding business (owned Cici Events) and decorated thousands of weddings the eight years it was open. I knew that Jeannine was well respected and an awesome photographer - and had met her multiple times at events, so when I needed some lifestyle photos (photos for website) for my daycare/preschool center, Tierra Encantada, using her was a no brainer. BEST. DECISION. EVER. I had used two other photographers for lifestyle photos at the daycare previously and they turned out okay, but nothing spectacular (only a few usable ones). Jeannine took the time to chat on the phone before, review all the shots I wanted to get, and she got them ALL - and more. Plus she was reasonably priced - and had the fastest turn around I've ever experienced. If you want someone that makes sure she gets every image you want - and makes sure they are all perfect, then definitely use her! Strongly recommend!

Looking for a wedding photographer can be somewhat disorienting and overwhelming. There are always many options, and it's not always clear the best way to choose. You will see lots of great looking photos, but really, the photographer's job is a lot more than just point-and-shoot. You want them to make your lives easier amidst the chaos, you want help setting a clear timeline so things run smoothly, and to know they are focused on your priorities. This is why we cannot recommend Jeannine Marie highly enough. We had our wedding at a camp in Bemidji, Minnesota, but live in Washington, D.C., making planning a bit more difficult. From the outset, Jeannine set our minds at ease by going over every detail - including many we did not think to ask about - and clearly articulating costs, options, and what would be the best fit for us. She never tried to "upsell" us on a different product, or something more expensive. If we wanted more, she had an option for that. If we wanted less, she had an option for that, too. She simply wanted to make sure we would get photos to last a lifetime - and boy did she deliver. On the wedding day, despite some logistical challenges presented by a hairdresser who got lost on the way, Jeannine made the photo-taking part of the wedding easy. She had a clear tick tock, communicated with other vendors to coordinate shots, kept us on time, and took amazing, gorgeous photos we'll enjoy for the rest of our lives. As the night wound down, she made sure to check in with us so that we got all the group photos we wanted to get. It was a thoughtful gesture that, frankly, I had not thought about at that point as I was having too much fun. It was also emblematic of how meticulously she approached the job, and how thoughtful she was from start to finish. Again, if you're looking for a wedding photographer, just end your search and go with Jeannine Marie. She's just the best.

Like all the other reviewers before me, there's just not enough great things to say about Jeannine. Her vision and creativity is magical. I gave her a list of my party attendants and family members three days before the wedding and she had memorized them all on that day. She sat on the ground for the majority of the reception to ensure that I would have great photos during my speeches. She was quick and observant - catching small moments going on in the background that totally went over our heads. Her and her partner arrived early and were ready to work and left at 10 pm, still with lots of energy. I know she probably didn't get 8 hours of sleep that night because the very next day at 9 AM she posted 40 preview pictures of our wedding, edited and all. When we were looking at photographers in the early stages of our wedding planning we were so overwhelmed and confused - everyone started to look the same. We met with several photographers but just didn't feel that click. Within 10 minutes of our meeting with Jeannine I knew. When we ended our video call with her my husband and I knew we had found a photographer for our special day. She's kind, experienced, organized, professional, and the quality of her photos are an exact reflection of her dedication to her craft. How can we express what an important and amazing part of our wedding day that Jeannine played. The photos are the one thing you cannot skimp on. These are your memories, and Jeannine did just a beautiful job with ours. Jeannine traveled from the Twin Cities up to Duluth to shoot for a day at the Glensheen Mansion for us. Everything she did was perfect, from the shot selection, to her efficiency, to her fun, easy nature. She was an absolute joy to work with. Jeannine even had a short slideshow of the early photos she had taken playing on a monitor at the bar after dinner, which was an amazing addition. Within a few days of the wedding, we had a "sneak peak" available on her website, and within a week or two of that we had our digital prints. Fast, friendly, and amazing. We could not recommend her more strongly. If you are going to be getting married in Minnesota, there's no one better.
