Kara is a long time friend going back to the lively halls of Burgess Elementary School. Kara is one of the sweetest and most genuine people you have ever met. She’s your friend in an instant and an absolute joy in your life. And this is true of anyone she meets. You might assume that this is why she is still my friend after more than 25 years of knowing her, but no...no! That has nothing to do with it! The real reason she is still my friend is this whole business about this camera thing. Kara takes these pictures, see, and she makes the world beautiful. She makes ME beautiful! Now, those of you that know me may say, “Matt, you’ve always been a dashing fellow and treat to the old’ eye balls” and you’d be absolutely spot on, BUT my amazingly dapper good looks shine even brighter than the the yellow part of the sun when I show up in a photo taken by Kara!
Kara shot photos at my wedding and captured every moment, every memory of love and life and the hope and promise we had ahead of us. You could see the joy and gleam in my wife’s eyes seeing the prize she was getting. You could feel the pride and, frankly, the utter relief in my parents smiles just knowing someone was taking me off their hands.
For years after, my wife and I have trusted Kara to make our whole family look as amazing as the patriarch from which they sprung. Not once in the history of time have my kids smiled together or behaved or looked as if they weren’t gonna fly off the handle at each other at any minute, but Kara always captures pure joy and love in our family. Add in the dog for a bit more impossible photo capturing charm and BAM, you have a scenario only Kara could work magic with.
She’s a master. She captures every emotion, joy, love and life in every photo. She has a gift and we are lucky she shares it with us.
