Meeting Fred Levy was a special stroke of luck. Like anyone who has a dog, especially a black dog, we think he is a member of the family. Our dog Bing was a rescue lab/terrier or something like a terrier. He has an unusual beard for a lab. This only makes him more special. Fortunately for us, Fred has taken on a crusade to restore the dignity of black dogs with his black dog project. You only have to look at his pictures to see he has a gift for bringing out the best in the dog's features. He is like an Ansel Adams of the dog whisperers. Bing took to him immediately and his patience had a very special influence on Bing. More than anyone I have met Fred has a gift for bringing out the real character of the dog and conveying his compassion for their place in the family. Fred thanks for bringing out the character of Bing in your pictures.

I emailed Fred for a photo session after one of dogs was diagnosed with lymphoma and wanted to pictures while she was feeling good. Fred got us in for a session very quickly and was GREAT with my dogs, including one that is picky with people. We never felt rushed and he captured beautiful keepsakes of my dogs. We choose a couple prints and metal prints and they arrived so very quickly. Fred is a true professional and a great artist! I would highly recommend Fred Levy!

He came to our house to photograph our dog, and I was impressed with his knowledge of lighting, setting, what would be flattering or not. He was very helpful throughout the entire process - recommending appropriate sizes and finishes for each photo selected, with framing recommendations, too. The photographs came out beautifully. Fred did a wonderful job on photos for my business web page and social media. I have been a wedding photographer for 24 years but I have never been able to take my own dogs. They love their mom so they run to me. I found Fred through a a mutual friend and to be honest I had pretty low expectations. I knew Fred would be great but my two greyhounds are not great out of their comfort zone. I was amazed at how the dogs responded and the images I have are incredible. I have three 20 x 30 canvas prints hanging in my living room. Sadly two weeks after the session my boy Tucker passed away. I am so thankful to have those images of him. We are waiting for spring to have our new girl photographed by Fred. I know they will be beautiful!
