I worked for this company for a number of years after my retirement from education. First, Gary was superior when dealing with me and with others. He is very flexible and more than willing to make accommodations within reason. The organization has a long history and it hurts me personally to see reviews that are based upon a single event. People who base an opinion on a single event are truly demonstrating an unreasonable bias. This business is a time sensitive, so schools MUST be served as quickly as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Chestnut Hill Studios and did my best to produce the best images possible. Again, when I read the poor reviews, they are based upon a single event. Also, it is time for parents to take some responsibility. In addition, I am quite certain, that arrangements could have been made to meet their needs, when analyzed on an individual basis, if they'd asked. Mark my words, as a professional photographer, I, too, had some unreasonable requests. The unreasonable requests were usually based upon an individual's lack of knowledge of photography.

Chestnut Studios lost my child's school photo. They were unpleasant to work with in trying to retrieve the original pictures. When re-takes were scheduled, they gave my daughter a difficult time since she did not have the originals to turn in for re-takes - originals that CHESTNUT STUDIOS LOST! I was promised re-takes which I have not yet received. If you can avoid this company, you'd be better off.

I got a call from my child's school a few days after picture day that somehow, my son's photo was the only one deleted. As a working mom with 2 jobs and a disabled father I help take care of, it's pretty hard to find time for much of anything, not to mention drive 30 minutes for a photo that was supposed to be taken at school! So I bring my son in to the studio and we were completely rushed. The photographer pulled my son in to take the photo before I had even finished signing paperwork. He took two photos, only because my son was looking at me in one if them. After all this chaos, all they did for me was wave a $5 shipping fee. I finally get the photos in the mail and what do you know, its not the background we chose. If you're thinking of going to this place for photos of any sort, I advise against it. You're better off taking a selfie on your phone.

Update: Paid for the graduation photo and all I got was a photo taken at such a bad angle, that it's a photo of my daughter's hair with the tip of her nose barely viewable. Here comes a rant about Chestnut Hill Studios and having to use them for the senior photo... they suck. The photo is so dark, with shadows all over her face. Of course the guy nearly refused, and fought with us about letting her pose facing the camera and that's the only one that came out good. So thankfully we insisted. The cost per photo? Oh funny you asked - ONE 5 x 7 is $65. Don't get me started on the photoshop of her hair - they didn't use the tool correctly (I know Photoshop) - they were lazy and her hair is a flattened blob, taking all the texture out of it. And the background is a rusty mess - I don't recall her standing in front of an old aluminum can. Thanks, Chestnut Hill, for being a monopoly and doing a crappy job at just about evvverything.

Absolutely horrible. I don't know why schools deal with this company. Senior pictures are so expensive, 80$ for 1 photo. They make the kids stand at weird angles, have horrible smiles and my son's pictures you can't see his eyes because of the reflection off his glasses. So glad this is the last year I have to deal with them.

It is really sad when companies like CHESTNUT HILL STUDIOS in Seekonk MA - sends cheesy postcards like this with inaccurate and misleading information. First - they are NOT the exclusive yearbook photographer for Senior Photos at Mansfield High School - you can use anyone you want. Second - deadline (from what I am told is in October). Third, never requested, made or have an appointment (as noted on the card) for the mobile studio. Chestnut Hill Studios has for years, taken pictures at not only Mansfield School System - but many schools and for the most part, been happy with the photos. These post cards (4th one this summer so far) is just wrong. Sorry Chestnut Hill Studios - poor taste, poor marketing effort and very tacky and misleading. I hope parents use other photographers and are not mislead by this company.
