Russell & Liz Caron beyond exceeded our expectations and made our wedding day very special! From our first meeting at our engagement session, we knew that they were a perfect fit for our wedding photography. They are so much fun and truly love what they do (not to mention, they take absolutely beautiful photos). Our photos were absolutely gorgeous and we received a great selection of both posed, natural and candid shots. I would HIGHLY recommend Russell Caron Photography to anyone that asks. They wrote a blog about our wedding day and truly captured all the special moments of our wedding. It has only been 3 weeks since our wedding and I look at the photos that Russ and Liz took daily! When I first started researching photographers for my wedding, I knew that I wanted to get the best of the best- and I certainly did! Liz and Russel were so professional from the very start. They were easy to contact, answered ALL my questions, created the timeline for us, and gave us incredibly helpful tips for planning. I did not have a planner and had a private venue, so their advice was invaluable. It was clear from the very start that they were incredibly experienced, and I felt confident they would do an amazing job. They checked out the spot for the photos beforehand and even stopped by the rehearsal to give advice. The day of the wedding, Liz was so amazing. The timeline was perfect, her and her assistant quickly got all the photos we wanted and stayed on time. Liz was so kind, caring, and professional. She made sure I was drinking water and that I wasn't hungry! She kept me calm and collected throughout the day. After the wedding, the photos were absolutely gorgeous. I will cherish these photos for the rest of my life. The first look photos are my absolute favorite. Her and her assistant also took so many great pictures of all of our family and friends. I could not be more pleased with how the photos turned out. I love all of them! Hiring Liz was one of the best decisions I made in terms of planning my wedding! I highly recommend them!!

Russell and Liz are two professionals who were responsive and easy to work with during our entire wedding. We booked with them over a year in advance - something that is necessary as they often receive multiple requests for the same weekend. The high demand for there services is warranted. Not only were our wedding photos beautiful, but we had fun taking them. The quality of the photos show because they make sure we are enjoying ourselves during the entire process. During the ceremony, we didn't even know they were there. They showed complete respect for the church and the wedding guests. Russell and Liz's passion for what they do shows, and we are grateful that we had the chance to work with them.

We selected Russell and Liz after meeting them at a vendor show in Kennebunkport Maine. Right off the bat we knew we would love working with these two. The experience alone was perfection. They attended our rehearsal to meet with us again and the family. We felt extra lucky to have them around so our wedding party knew who they were! During the day of while getting ready they took my dress, rings and shoes and found a beautiful place for them to be photographed. I didn't need to micromanage or ask them to get a specific shot, they did it all! They were able to send Liz with the groom on a sailboat and Russell stayed with me to capture the bridesmaids and myself once we were ready. After our beautiful ceremony they took us to a beach where they had scouted the day before for some unbelievable photos of a stormy sky. I really wanted a photo of were we got engaged which was luckily right up the street, despite a couple of rain drops, Liz and Russell were able to capture the moment and did a fantastic job. One of the biggest decisions in planning a wedding is selecting a photographer and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Thank you Russell and Liz!

Because of their love of romance and making sure that every couple feels special, the genuine experience that you have a couple makes you feel sensational. Their eye for beauty is unmatched and they have the uncanny ability to "catch the moment" with their lens. Pictures were endearing and thoughtful, their presence was meaningful. Our first look with Russ and Liz was one of the most magical experiences of our day/life. They took us out into Acadia National Park and found the most spectacular locations which translated into breath taking photos. They are so kind, laid back and professional (all at the same time). By the time the ceremony came around we were so comfortable and at ease. They seamlessly went with the flow - traversing rocks and riding with the bride on her special boat entrance!! Russ and Liz of Russell Caron Wedding Photography exude talent and professionalism beyond expectations. They are fun, easy-going, courteous, and exceedingly knowledgeable to all facets of capturing our wedding day. We met them a year before our wedding day when they came to our home to take engagement photos. During that time, we chatted with each other and discussed what the wedding day would entail and benefits of the first look. If you are at all on the fence of doing a first look, I would highly suggest taking their advice and doing it. There are so many benefits of doing the first look. We had a two hour session which allowed us to get the most amazing photos I have ever imagined and photos that no one I know has in their wedding album. We were able to go to multiple spots within Acadia National Park to capture our love for each other and nature. It was our private moment where we could hold each other, relax, and enjoy each other before the celebration really began. All the wedding day gitters subsided because we had the chance to be together before the ceremony. Russ and Liz had scouted the spots the day beforehand to ensure they had the right lighting, timing, and ability to capture our desires for the photos we wanted. We worked with them on our wedding day itinerary and all of their advice and suggestions from years of experience were spot on. Between the two of them, they preserved our wedding day memories through superior natural, candid, and posed shots. They also had an incredible quick turn around on their blog of their favorite photos of the day. I have become obsessed at looking at these photos and all my family and friends are blown away (and green with envy) of the phenomenal and authentic shots that they got. DO NOT DELAY, BOOK THEM NOW! I am so incredibly HAPPY and impressed with their work. I’d love to get married all over again just to have the chance to work with them again.

Russ and Liz were amazing to work with! They are both so nice and easy going, and they immediately make you feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera. The first time we met them was when we did our engagement shoot in Boston. It was so nice to do the engagement shoot, not only for the pictures, but it was basically a test run of what taking photos for the wedding would be like. It definitely helped on the wedding day that we already had a connection with them (and thought of them as friends!) and we knew their picture taking style. We also loved how organized they were before and during the wedding day. A month or so before the wedding they sent us a tentative timeline of when certain pictures would be taken. It was so nice to have this to help plan the exact timing of everything during the wedding day. We shared the timeline with the hair and makeup vendors, the wedding party, and our families so everybody knew exactly where to be and when. This helped the day run very smoothly. We absolutely loved our pictures and we loved being able to easily share their blog posts with all our friends. They really knew how to incorporate all of the coastal New England charm that we wanted into our photos. The only small negative is that I thought our formal pictures with our families and wedding party were a little too rushed. But, I know if we would have spoken up they would have taken more time. We only ended up with one picture of each group and they didn’t turn out as great as some of the artistic shots of just the two of us. The amazing shots they got of us before and during the ceremony far outweigh the fact that we only ended up with a few formal family pictures.

5 stars is not enough for Russ & Liz!! We had an absolutely fantastic time working with them both throughout our wedding planning process and day-of. They really went above and beyond from day 1, with Russ recommending many other vendors for us – this knowledge was particularly helpful for us as out-of-towners! They are extremely organized and professional (not to mention some of the nicest people we've met!), constantly checking in and updating us throughout the process – their extremely detailed timeline kept us right on track our entire day and kept things running smoothly. Pro tip – highly recommend the first look and artistic set they suggest!! They even popped over to our ceremony rehearsal the day before our wedding to greet us and share a few helpful tips!! And to top it all off, our pictures are BEAUTIFUL – we are obsessed with them and so happy to have such an amazing way to remember our day!! They truly captured the love, laughter and fun of our day and we can’t thank them enough – we will cherish these memories for years to come. We have received SO many compliments from friends and family on how gorgeous our pictures turned out. Not to mention, we received our blog post of pictures just DAYS after the wedding which was such a nice treat for us as we were relaxing on a mini getaway! I wish I had more events for them to photograph but until then, can’t recommend Russ & Liz enough – they are worth every penny and more!

We selected Russell and Liz primarily because of their amazing images, but we also liked that they had a lot of experience photographing weddings at our venue, as well as the opportunity to pay monthly for the contract (very helpful when budgeting and paying for our own wedding). Working with Russ & Liz the day of the wedding really showed what true professionals they are: they had scoped out the lighting and scene for all of our environmental and wedding group photos well in advance, easily shifted between providing us with needed direction and letting us be ourselves, and were incredibly prompt in sharing and providing images from our wedding day.
