From the first moment we met Erin at Mercy Street Studio - before she had ever taken or we had ever seen a photo - we knew we had found THE right photographer for our family. We had recently had a professional photo shoot done for a national magazine. Sounds fabulous? It wasn't. We did not feel any connection with the photographer, and it showed in the results. Every image felt and looked forced and "not us." I shared this with Erin in our initial conversation, and she assured me she would capture us as US - and she did! Erin is truly one of the most kind and genuine people I have ever met. She is a gifted photographer, but that is only part of who she is. She is a wife. She is a mother. She knows what families really look and feel like, and rather than making pictures, she captures moments. After our session (before even seeing the photos), our then twelve year-old son asked if we could have family photos taken every year - and if Erin would take them. (Boys and photo sessions do not usually mix, but Erin has serious mojo!) We would not consider anyone but Erin at Mercy Street Studio to document, capture and celebrate our family in photos.
