I'm SO happy I took a chance when I saw Elusive Photography's ad on Facebook. I don't usually pull the trigger on something like this, but when I saw Emily's portfolio of pictures, I just knew she was the photographer I wanted to book for my kids' first professional photography shoot. Her Reverie pictures are otherworldly! So beautiful and imaginative and unlike any pictures I've ever seen before. She gave my 7 and 9 year old artistic license for their ideas (I loved that!), and because of that, the pictures came out amazing and better than we could have imagined! What a great eye Emily has for capturing stunning images, and then transforming those images into something extraordinary. Now my girls will forever have images of them as mermaids and dragon riders (which is what they picked). My husband and I's only regret is that we didn't dress up for the shoot and do family pictures. But we will definitely be booking with Elusive Photography again. =) Thank you so so much Emily, for your talent, kindness, patience, and care! Such a professional to work with - you set the bar for professional photographers!

Emily was so fantastic, we really loved working with her. We first met at her studio in Westbrook ME and it's in a converted mill--super hip. All email communications were prompt and easy, then on the day-of she was awesome. She was very easygoing and we could be our silly selves with no judgement. Her pictures turned out sososo good, we are absolutely thrilled. She really captured all the little moments in our day, and got lots of pictures of guest interactions... exactly what we were looking for. We're excited to see what our albums look like! She was also very reasonably priced, especially considering the southern Maine wedding industry is booming.

Amazing person and amazing photographs! We met Emily a year before our wedding and instantly liked her. She was easy to talk to, took time to get to know us, and really was understanding of my nervousness around a camera. She took amazing pictures for us during an engagement session (they made the best Christmas cards that year) and we couldn’t wait to have her photograph our wedding! When our wedding day rolled around, she was amazing. The day of she was amazingly accommodating, reassuring, and just an overall friendly face to be around with just the two of us as we did our first look and pictures with just the two of us before our ceremony. I was nervous, once again, and she was funny, super personable, and overall the most calming part of my day. She turned around our pictures faster than I expected and I couldn’t believe them! So many brought actual tears to my eyes. Our venue was extremely rustic and Emily made it absolutely shine in photographs! She also managed to capture me looking happy and peaceful - which is a feat. We wanted a more candid aspect to our pictures and she killed it. Emily was the best vendor we hired for our wedding and would do it again in a heartbeat.

We were lucky enough to work with Emily twice in the past year. She was our wedding photographer and she took newborn photos of our daughter. Emily is so professional and kind. I was nervous for the newborn shoot because my baby was so young and we hadn’t gone anywhere since bringing her home. Emily made me feel so relaxed in her studio. She was extremely good with calming the baby. My husband and I got a chance to sit back and enjoy some coffee while she did all the work. Before the photo shoot Emily sent us instructions and tips to help the shoot go smoothly. She talked us into doing a family photo that we did not intend on doing and we’re so glad that we did!
