I attended the Seeing the World Through a Plastic Camera workshop, led by Tonee Harbert, on February 30-31, 2016. I have been a commercial photographer and I remain a curious photographer, and I am very glad that I met Tonee and have been introduced to new photographic media. Tonee is a wonderful educator and communicator who carefully structured this workshop to balance our exposure to existing portfolios of work, practical techniques of both plastic camera photography and digital image processing, and, most importantly, field experience. Our photo safari was fun, albeit freezing (not entirely Tonee’s fault), and conceived to be as flexible as we might need it to be. Our immersion into digital processing, although necessarily quick, was nonetheless satisfying and rewarding. I have become a complete fan of both lo-fi plastic image gathering and hi-fi digital image processing. Thank you, Tonee Harbert and The Bakery Photo Collective, for a great weekend of photography!
