Having senior pictures of my twin girls done by Kaela and Jonathan was one of the highlights of the girls’ senior year. Kaela told them to bring things that they loved, so Claire brought her golden retriever and riding saddle (her horse wouldn’t fit in the studio), and Rachel brought her four-foot-long ball python and dozens of scripts and programs from her theater productions. We brought a dozen outfits between the two, along with their younger sister who wanted to part of the excitement. Kaela has an incredible gift in knowing how to genuinely see the originality and beauty of each girl and, more importantly, creating a space in which each girl was able to see that in herself. It was an incredibly uplifting experience that my girls have never forgotten. For that alone I am very grateful. But in addition, the pictures were composed in extraordinarily creative ways that truly capture each girl’s personality. It was like a party, and Kaela found a way to include their sister and me without detracting from the twins’ experience. As a result, not only do we have fabulous senior pictures but we also have a family portrait and a portrait of the three girls, all of which are simply stunning. This is not the least expensive studio you can find but I’m telling you, they are worth every penny. You will have the most beautiful portraits of your child that will hang in your home forever, always there to remind you of who they were at that moment in time. Nothing is more precious.

I can’t say enough about our exceptional experience at Strauss Peyton. Since our 50th anniversary was quickly approaching, we decided that it was the perfect occasion to have a quality professional portrait taken to commemorate our special milestone. My husband wasn’t fond of photos of himself but he agreed to do it. I knew that it would take an artist to capture the look I was hoping for. I met with Kaela at her studio and she was extremely thorough about ensuring the sitting would be exactly what we wanted, incorporating the colors, backgrounds, styles and ambiance that we desired. On picture day Kaela and Jonathan created a warm and comfortable setting for our photo shoot. Kaela engaged my husband in a relaxed conversation as Jonathan snapped pictures left and right. Later, when we saw the proofs we were amazed to see the wonderful expression in my husband’s face that we had never seen in a photo of him before. We were both ecstatic with the number of proofs that we loved. We would have been happy with just one good photo but there were so many photos that we wanted that it was a challenge to choose just one. The portrait that we chose is absolutely beautiful. Everyone that sees it marvels at how special it is. We were so glad we did it. It now means even more than I ever thought it would as it hangs in my home as a beautiful memory of my life with my wonderful husband who passed away last month. I’m so glad that I have this special portrait and I’m so glad I didn’t put it off.
