I have a 1yr old and a 6yr old, so its really important that they honor the time that I pick for my session. Its usually a 50/50 chance they are on time, my pictures always come out great, but I NEVER get any props that are advertised and I think sometimes they take too many pictures....I'm a sucker so it always means I'm going to be buying more! The experience isn't always great, but I'm a member (which is a great value) and keep going back because of the great photos they take.

Sweet girls.. Ok pics.. Place is a absolute mess. Someone needs to clean this place or fire people for not cleaning. The one in Manchester was just as filthy.

i am surprised how this business can survive in the area. purchased groupon option $22.5 of 1 digit image and 8 prints, which turned out to be a 76 kb low resolution file and 8 duplicates of the same pose, all of which were the same 1 photo. additional photo cost $23 each.

My wife, 1 month and I showed up at the Picture People today for an 11:00 am an appointment. We were running 10 minutes late because we have a baby. We called ahead and left a voicemail because its the courteous thing to do. When we arrived at 11:10 am, no one was around. At 11:14 am a woman emerged from her work area and asked us what we were doing there. We explained we had an appointment and that we were running a bit late. She then explained to us in the rudest of tones that we were late and there wouldn't be enough time to do a newborn shoot because she had a 12 pm appointment. We discussed it with her and decided that even if we didn't get all 18 poses and everything we wanted, that we would still like to go through with the appointment. After all, anyone who has a baby knows that amount of effort it takes just to get out of the house. Not to mention that my wife and I both had to shower and look decent too, so needless to say it was a production in our house this morning from 8 am to when we arrived. Once we had decided to do the photoshoot, we found out that she wasn't even done with her previous appointment yet. She put us in the studio, without saying 4 words to us, then sat with this other couple going over their photos, deciding on packages and portraits. It was obvious she was more interested in up-selling them then even looking at us. At 11:30 am my wife and I decided to just walk out and leave. The woman photographer didn't even say a word to us as we walked out the door. It was a terrible experience and whoever this photographer is needs to find a different line of work, preferably one where she doesn't deal with people.

Ridiculous. Had scheduled an appointment. Waited with 4 kids for an hour before we finally demanded to be photo-shot. Groupon discounted the usual $300+ fee to about $30, so that helped. My cousin in Edmonton had the same experience with the same company.

BUYER BEWARE: My husband and I arrived with our 7 month old for Easter pictures. Our photographer Artur was polite and efficient in taking pictures of our baby with much energy and enthusiasm. Though the backdrops were picked out by him without any of our input, we went along for the shoot and were hopeful that we would get some good photos for baby's first Easter. Immediately after our session, we were seated at the computer to review the pictures. Though the green screen photo shot allowed for digital editing with the use of springtime backdrops, there weren't any options for layouts, collages or cards/stationary choices for the amount of money we end up paying. After about 10 minutes reviewing the photos taken, we were told that the only two options we had were to pay $20 per sheet no matter the size (so 8 x 10, 5 x 7, 4 x 6, wallet size all $20) per photo. This seemed odd, but because there was no set price list available for us to review, we were stuck with the only other option: pay $150 for a CD that included all 20 something of the photos...which we did with much regret. The CD included shots that weren't as picturesque or color coordinated with our child’s outfit. Do NOT waste the money trying to get photographs here. This company isn't the same Picture People company that existed years prior. Another business has bought it out and the fact that there were no lists of prices for us to review before and/or after our session was an alarming red flag! Do not make the mistake of being swindled into buying photos from this overpriced location, which in the bottom level of Buy Buy Baby Store. Not only were we hit with a high cost for a 20 minute photo session ($150) that included three backdrop changes and no Easter props, we were likely scammed out of our money because there were no advertised prices. When a fellow customer of Buy Buy Baby walked past, she asked Artur was there a price list? He says "No, it depends on the client and session. I make up the pricing in my head." Unfortunately he said this after we paid our money, which was not refundable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Go elsewhere!!!

The staff were quick and friendly. Did a great job making me spend extra money despite my groupon deal lol. I got there early and only waited 5 minutes to be seen, and my pictures were ready in 10 minutes. The staff get a 5 star rating. It’s getting harder to find a location now. This one is located in the Sears and you wouldn’t know that unless you asked - there are no signs in the Sears and they’re not noted on the mall directory. That’s why I’m doing a 4.

We are unfortunately members to picture people. We enrolled in their year membership which gets us different things. The membership is about the only thing we really like. Every time we go in it seems they are always 20-30 minutes behind. There will be about 4 of them working but only 1 girl is doing pictures. The girl who did our pictures last time was really fun and made it less stressful. The girl who showed us our pictures must of been new because she basically did nothing. We actually took over the computer and figured out how to pick out our own pictures. It seems customer service is not their best strong suit EXCEPT for the photographer. She was GREAT!

I will not go back here. We had a decent experience with our daughter's one year old pictures, and went back for Halloween pictures. The photographer was terrible, but since I was already there I decided to buy some Halloween cards. She had no idea how to work their system, so after waiting for 45 minutes (while she helped another customer who did NOT have an appointment), she started showing me my daughter's photo in Christmas cards. In her Halloween outfit!!! She said she didn't think they had Halloween cards, which would have been nice to know when I first got there and said that's what I wanted. I called and complained to the manager who did offer to re-shoot my pictures and give 30% off but I will just take my business somewhere else that is more organized and has better trained photographers

We just had our first experience at PP for Easter pics. We went in with a coupon for a high res CD, and were very happy with the results. The photographer was great. They had eliminated many of the not-so-great photos, so we only had the good ones left to review. We left with 22 great photos that captured our daughter wonderfully. Checkout was painless, though they were starting to get behind on appt times. All in all, good experience. We will be back once our second arrives.

There was a time that this was the only photo studio I would go to take my child's photo. In fact, my wife and I made it our business to ensure PP created the highlight memories for our family. Our recent visit indicated that times had changed, and so had management of PP. What once was fabulous pain-staking care for our time and money turned into a turnstile of quick in, quick out....leave with virtually nothing of value. Operator was not the savviest of photographers; photos were not cropped, centered, heads cut off, etc. And when we bought the $99 digital package, since they did not honor any other specials we had, they were pared down to only a number of photos. The copy received did not have the digital license so we were unable to get the reproduced anywhere else. We did pictures for our 2yo and recent pregnancy pics for our new child. Sadly, we are looking for a new studio as we will not be returning to PP.

I'm giving this place a 3 star rating only because it has been a week and I still don't have my pictures. I went in to have my daughter's 6 month pictures taken and the girl who did them was great. I was told to come back in 10-15 min and they would have my pictures. I walked around for about 20 mins and had to wait an additional 10min for someone to acknowledge me because they were "selling". afterwards, I was told that the computer broke and they were on the phone with IT and to go to lunch and come back and it should be fixed. I went to lunch and come back and it was still down. I know things happen and I wasn't really upset about it. They asked if I wanted to wait around and at that point it had been 2 1/2 hours and I needed to get my daughter home. I agreed to have them just mail me my pictures because I live 40 mins away and didn't want to get back out when they were ready. I figured since I had to wait around so long they would expedite shipping and I would have my pictures in a few days. Nope, still no pictures. :(

Always had positive experiences until this last one. The photographer told me to come back in 15 mins and when i did she told me i couldnt view my pictures because there was a dog shoot and no one could be in the store and that the store was closing afterwards. She told me to just look at my pictures online, but i usually like to sit with an employee and pick out the edits. She had a rude attitude, i could tell she didnt care. I went back the next day and the man told me he didnt know if they could show me my photos because they were busy. Again, not very customer service oriented. The woman who did end up helping me, kelsi was very nice. Next time i will be looking for a different studio.

Or we just should have been given a different photographer.. He didn't even change the background.. :( But most of the pictures still came out really nice. The staff in general was nice though..

My appt was @11am. I’m there on time and waited for my son turn to take pictures. He is one and the photographer did not know to take toodler pictures. She has to keep the camera flashing instead of waiting to long to take the picture of an active one yr old. At the end of picture out the pictures, I was told that my pictures will be printed on Thursday 4 WHOLE DAYS LATER. I don’t live that close to come back for pictures. Nobody called me to tell me or gave me the option to reschedule. How tf a pic shop pilrinter is not working? With all this being said I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO DO ANOTHER SHOOT. I asked the Manager where are the email that I paid for? She hung up on me. I will not return to this location NEVER

How do I get through? I get an error trying to make an appointment online. I call the studio and no one ever answers. It asks for an extension and I don't have one, then it just hangs up on me.

From the start I have to admit my mistake in accidently arriving a week early for my appointment. Driving from Baltimore with a cake in the car I was hoping to make the best of the trip out and turns out I'm glad I made this mistake. That being said for for the review... I called letting them know we were late from the lovely traffic we didn't expect I phoned in to bsay we were coming just not the time we had scheduled. The man on the phone was okay with our tardiness. Soon as I hung up he called back to let me know the mistake in our schedule and said we can come in anyways with minor delays of a session before ours. When we finally arrived we were not met with destain of my poor scheduling or any rolled eyes. We were greeted with a kind smile and a young guy named Arthur who was more than professional. He didn't rush anything. My daughter warmed up to him right away. He was patient and quick to understanding to help. I am so thankful we came and overall we had a great experience. Plus the pictures turned out great! Thank you Arthur for being extraordinary!

Wish I could give 0 stars. I wrote down specification for the print the evening before so that I would not go through what I went through the next day. When I got back the next day, they didn't have my photos ready and said I needed to choose a collage. None of the photos fit in the collage and the sales rep basically said "oh well. That happens to every customer." If they know that is an issue with every customer's photos not fitting into the collage...how is the excellent customer service? I drove out there 2 days in a row (40 minute drive) just to experience horrible customer service. So, the sales rep said "here are your photos" while he handed me the folder. As I'm walking out of the store, I realize the collage that I just spent so much time to make was not even in the folder. I go back to the counter and ask where is the collage? He said "oh I couldn't print it because it was after you paid. WOW! He was just letting me leave without all of my items and not telling me. Then, he said I have to drive back (another 45 minutes) the next day. Also, I did not receive my online copy of the photo. I had an awful experience. We have used Picture People for years and this was the first time we were not pleased at all. We were coming back for Valentine's day family photos, but we are not pleased at all.

This is actually my second time coming here. Back in December I came with my whole family. I was not impressed. We had an appointment and still had to wait over half an hour to get our pictures taken. Then on to the selling and seeing the pictures which took another half an hour. The whole ordeal was like two hours long. Some pictures came out with shadows. Like I said not too impressed, but I did get one good picture of everyone for Christmas that I liked. This time I came with my kids for our annual Spring picture. I was instantly greeted and was taken to the studio. I was the one who wasn’t ready! The photographer worked with the kids and was very patient and professional. She got really good pictures. This time the whole process took only an hour. From taking the pictures to the selling. I was very satisfied with the quality and the process more this time than last. I will be back in the summer for more pictures!

This is a great place to get good quick photos digitally or prints. But don’t bring your kids here if they cant sit still in a pose, or just listen in general, the photographers don’t have time for that and have too much on their plate than trying to get your crying child to smile and stay still in the pose they put them in.

Booked session for me and my sister with my nieces and nephews all together it was 10 of us. When guy called to confirm appointment I made sure he knew it was a large group even though I made it known on when I made the appointment online. When we arrived guy wasn’t very friendly and I informed him I had a groupon for the pictures. He sat us in the photo room and only did one pose took only 4 photos and once he got one with all of our eyes open he told us we were done . I know my groupon was for only one pose but last time I use the same kind of groupon for my great nephews photo the lady who took them made sure to take a few different poses to give me some choices ( I ended up buying another picture not included in the groupon simply because I loved it so much) . I’m really disappointed the guy said because the group was so big there wasn’t much that he could do I feel like that should have been Communicated to me at the time I set the appointment or even when they called to confirm to appointment I would have went to another Picture People that had more room. I felt like the guy really just didn’t want to take our photos he wasn’t friendly at all . I have been there when that same studio had big groups like mine and the lady taking the pictures made it work so they had a few pictures to choose from. Disappointed in the fact I felt like my family was disrespected and not treated fairly . its really unfortunate because my family takes pictures a few times a year but defiantly won’t be back to this picture people

I have a couple of experiences here at Picture People some of them did not end up so good and it has nothing to do with the company but only with the person that takes the picture I don't recommend anybody here except Author he was very good with the time took a lot of pictures and had some great ideas the other times we came here we're not as good. The appointment set up was easy and the coordination was good lots of props and room for fun ideas I would advise to get some ideas on the web beforehand and if you have kids bring lots of snacks to get them concentrated in the pictures but don't bring something that will make them dirty

I wonder if the photographers here are professional. Since taking good pictures in an art and the results were really awful. Not a single pic in more than 20 shots was worth printing. I wish I could walk off and not pay for pictures but that will be rude.

Once in a while we might get a new employee and they are not as good at taking pictures or coming up with new ideas but they are always nice. If you are lucky enough to get one of the photographers who has been there for more than a year you will end up with some great pictures. Went today to have my daughter's 1st birthday and Christmas photos done, our photographer was rude in my opinion and rushed our entire session. She used a dingy pink 1 that was basically falling apart with a white backround In my photos when my daughter was wearing black white and gold and I was told you guys had plenty of props to match those colors when I originally scheduled. All the photos she took were plain hardly any thought put into them and didn't even touch any of the nicer props she had just threw Christmas trees in her Christmas pictures which she only took maybe 2 or 3 of her in her Christmas dress and took 2 of us as a family which were both awful looking. I'm highly disappointed with the way it is ran here and how they treat you as a customer. I ended up walking out with 5 pictures of my daughter that I barely liked.

I did not like how i was treated at all.the photographer seemed good at first but she did a touch up on my photo that made me look like i had burns on my face yet i had paid for it.eventually she brings me all this pictures in a sheet and when i asked her to cut it for me she refused because another customer went in.i had the worst experience with her

It's hot as the fires of Hades in there. And if you don't know the photos you want, they're not great at posing. Then the prints? They're terrible. My second time going and ANY picture with darker colors has lines through them. My printer at home would have done a better job. Add to that the cost? For that price, these should be perfect, and they're not even worthy to be hung.

Not impressed! I was so excited to take my older daughter and new baby girl to get sibling pictures/Christmas cards done. When I got there, there were a bunch of people standing around for their appointment (we were about 20 mins early). I noticed than in about 15 minutes time they did 2 sessions! Then when our turn was up one of the pieces of equipment went down so we we were about 5 minutes late being called (not a huge deal), but then when it was our turn we were super rushed! The photographer took a bunch of pictures but didn't bother to make sure my girls were positioned the way they should be, had the best backgrounds, facial expressions, etc. I was really disappointed :( I did go ahead and get some Christmas cards, which I wasn't very impressed with either. I felt completely rushed and like the photographer didn't even care if she took good pictures or not- they were just trying to get as many people through as possible and are not concerned with the quality of pictures they take.

We came in for a holiday picture with a groupon. We showed up like 2 mins late, but didn't seem to be a big deal. We got checked in and then waited for like 15 mins for the photographer. Overall it was a good experience. We brought our child and the photographer seemed to have a good idea of poses our child could try. The session took about 15 to 20 mins and then we looked at the proofs. There were some good pictures taken. We also had the option of purchasing extra outside of the groupon, the prices were OK for a photography business. We might come back if we do that again.

Setting up the appointment was easy but I had to wait 30 minutes to start my session because of their "technical issues" with their new system. In my mind, it was no big deal but after the session, because of their technical issues, my pictures weren't able to print. The photographer said she will mail my pictures express mail, which is one to two days. Again, it was not a big deal, but after a week and a half I still haven't gotten my pictures and the manager seems to be impossible to get in touch with. Picture people has my money and they have my pictures. Will definitely consider my options next time.

Went today to have my daughter's 1st birthday and Christmas photos done, our photographer was rude in my opinion and rushed our entire session. She used a dingy pink 1 that was basically falling apart with a white backround In my photos when my daughter was wearing black white and gold and I was told you guys had plenty of props to match those colors when I originally scheduled. All the photos she took were plain hardly any thought put into them and didn't even touch any of the nicer props she had just threw Christmas trees in her Christmas pictures which she only took maybe 2 or 3 of her in her Christmas dress and took 2 of us as a family which were both awful looking. I'm highly disappointed with the way it is ran here and how they treat you as a customer. I ended up walking out with 5 pictures of my daughter that I barely liked.

I did not like how i was treated at all.the photographer seemed good at first but she did a touch up on my photo that made me look like i had burns on my face yet i had paid for it.eventually she brings me all this pictures in a sheet and when i asked her to cut it for me she refused because another customer went in.i had the worst experience with her

Very disappointed. They are very inexperienced taking photographs of infants. Our photographer had no clue what to do with a 2 month old. She was very timid. She did not talk to him or shake any toys at him to get his attention like all professional photographers know to do. She had him lay on a bean bag the whole time until we finally asked to have him sit up. She then brought a basket for him to “sit up” which was basically him lying at an incline. They had boppys and armchairs, which he is capable of sitting up in. She then blamed my baby being uncomfortable for the reason she had difficulty and only had a few cute pics. He had several cute smiles and smirks, but she was not taking the photos of this as she was waiting for a full fledged smile. Thank god I had a Groupon. We will not be returning. Maybe our experience would have been different with another photographer, but this visit made a bad impression.

I had a great experience at this Picture People and want to make sure others know about it. My brother purchased us a gift from Picture People on Long Island but the store clerk handed him just a receipt and told him that should be enough to redeem the gift (a CD of photos). I set up a photo session online and when I arrived with my just-turned-3-year old and VERY grumpy 8 month old, the photographer told me that receipt wasn't enough. I forget his name but he was extremely apologetic and tried to do everything he could to redeem it but eventually told me I'd have to come back when his manager was there. Trying to get two young kids psyched about taking pictures is hard so I was annoyed that they just gave my brother a receipt to redeem the gift. A few minutes later the photographer chased me down before I left and told me he could take the photos after working it out with a manager at a different store. So beyond happy I didn't have to argue with anyone and could get my two kids photographed when I had planned. If only my children would sit still for a photo session....but thank you so much PP of Livingston!!

This used to be our go-to place for baby/toddler photos, but now that they are solely at the Buy Buy Baby location, the space is challenging for the following reasons: Very small waiting area, seating limited to 4 chairs (2 per viewing station), so if it's busy you will end up standing around the end of a checkout lane for Buy Buy Baby. They have some toys for the kids, but you are wedged in next to the checkout counter for Picture People and a checkout lane for Buy Buy Baby - so it's far from ideal. Staff tries hard but on our last visit their background options were very limited and we weren't able to get what we wanted. Because of their co-location, each visit is exhausting because the kiddo wants to shop/play but we're trying to loiter around the waiting "room". We've had amazing results from them before and I hope they can find a better location, replace/upgrade their photo backdrops and turn the business around.

At a previous place: We had a horrible experience with another popular store with a photo place. We felt crazy rushed and not very welcomed there and we didn't like a single photo, Here: Robin was our photographer. She did an AMAZING job. We were worried that it would end up being like our last experience, but Robin did such a freaking awesome job at taking my son's pictures. She really captured him smiling and was constantly making funny sounds, faces, and everything she can do to make him smile. She took so many awesome photos that we ended up using our Groupon to buy a CD so we can have the photos ourselves. My wife was ecstatic because she was really hoping to get some good photos since we didn't like any from his 6 months photo shoot. NOTE: We have not tried any of the other photographers so I would STRONGLY recommend asking for Robin, as I have no experience of how the other photographers at that place are. THANK YOU Robin! I hope you read this or at least that you manager will read it :)
