Mike + Julie are true storytellers. I looked around for some photographers and saw different work at a bridal show, but Mike + Julie stood out to me. I knew of their work because of my husband's cousin who hired them for their own wedding the year before. As I was looking at portfolios, my mind kept going back to their pictures. I wanted what they had: lighthearted, authentic, real, true emotion. My husband and I love our family and friends for WHO they are and we wanted to see personalities in our wedding pictures. When we're old and gray sharing photos with our kids, we want to be able to say, "That right there is our cousin/aunt/uncle/grandparent and this is shows who they are." Mike + Julie have given us just that. All of the memories they captured for us are so special, so raw, so authentic. I could not have asked for better photographers. They are so easy and great to work with. They are not afraid of letting their own personality shine during your session with them. They don't do "pose-y" but will do some of the traditional ones and if there's something you want, just ask! They made sure they had a list of all the family members we wanted formal photos with and checked them off as the day went along. They were also really flexible when our families kept saying "But! Just one more with so-and-so!" But, honestly, their documentary-style photos of our wedding is what makes hiring them so worth it! We loved Mike + Julie and we can't wait to hire them again for future life events!
