Amazing Maternity and New Family photo session experience! Christy is beyond talented in not only with her eye for a great photo but her patience, calm attitude, and inviting approach made being photographed so comfortable that she was able to capture me pregnant and our new family of three with our spirit totally embodied in the frame. We have struggled going to studios as many photographers have "their" shots they want and tend to try to pose for perfection...that has never resulted in photos my husband loves or feels excited to purchase as he never feels like he is being himself. Christy encouraged us in each of our sessions to just be calm and confident, which she made very easy. She was laid back and easy to talk to, like a friend you haven't seen in a while and its time to catch up. My maternity photos will allow me to look back with joy and gratitude on so many moments of those 10 months. I wanted a photographer to really enhance the amazing female body as well as give my family a few photos they can hang in their home. I chose a dress that provided opportunity for both maternity with my belly and a wrap with my newborn. I was not disappointed and they turned out even better than I imagined. Our newborn session didn't go as well as I had envisioned simply because our baby was NOT having it when we got there. However, Christy's patience and persistence led to beautiful baby photos we will cherish forever. She was able to capture the sweetest moments of my husband with our baby as he soothed her. My only regret was that at the end of the session when our baby finally zonked out, I didn't offer to pay to extend the session in order to get some of those actual newborn photos we were trying for in the beginning. I would have easily paid an additional session fee for 15 minutes for her talent. We ordered all the digital photos as we could not pick just a few. We are so incredibly happy with our choice to go with Christy of Happy Chick Photography and most definitely recommend you do the same. We met up 45 minutes later and they were done! She uploaded pics same night for me to view. They turned out great. She captured his personality perfectly. I was very grateful to be able to book last minute! We we’re happy with our photos however we did feel that overall the experience was very expensive. Total $325 for 4 photos. I have no problem compensating artists for their work and time but for the finishing effects and simplicity of the photos I was very surprised at the price.

Christy is a wonderful photographer, with a great spirit. She takes her time in making sure her pictures are perfect by making sure each person is angled correctly with your feet positioned, and hair in place :) lol! The turn around time is quick. I took my family pictures on Saturday and received them by Tuesday. A 3 day turn around with great quality you can't beat that! Thank you Christy you are awesome!
