After following McClanahan Studio's blog for over a year, I was fairly certain they were who I wanted for my son's senior pictures. After a visit to their studio and meeting with Dan & Alex, we were hooked. Everything about our experience was top-notch. Dan is an amazingly talented photographer and Alex is awesome at handling all the details. Their love for their profession (and each other) is very apparent. My son truly enjoyed his session and we love the results! Their photos and the products they offer are second to none. Dan & Alex are some of the coolest, kindest people you will meet. They put a lot of time and effort into getting to know their customers so they can make their personality shine through in their photos. I can't wait to return with my next two kids!! If I could rate them higher than 5 stars - I would!

McClanahan Studio is a must-go for seniors who not only want pictures but also memories to treasure. What I most appreciated about my experience was the perfect balance in structure and freedom that Dan and Alex (the McClanahan Duo) gave me. I first enlisted all of my hobbies, interests, aspirations, and miscellaneous things I would like to incorporate into my photos, and Dan and Alex meticulously gave me guidelines and suggestions as to how to make my wildest photo-op dreams achievable. The photo session was a blast. While I’m smiling away in front of the camera, Dan, the photographer, had so many creative poses to direct for me. As Dan casually showed some of the shots he took, I realized that he was a master with natural light. It was really awesome how he could play so much with natural color and light and how he refrained from artificial filters. After the photos were all taken, I indecisively chose photos to print as wall portraits, desk prints, albums, and other forms. I was astonished when I actually received the prints because they were simply AMAZING. Everything is so clear-cut and beautiful. The prints were more sharp and pristine than the digital files. Alex also had everything packaged in sleek sleeves and pretty boxes with fabric bows. (She knows how to make people happy.) The McClanahan’s know how to have fun but also be professionals in the field. Dan is an INCREDIBLE photographer; I do not know how to emphasize this more than with Caps Lock. His photographs are impeccable, and he’s great with witty captions for his photos. Alex is wonderful with her minute details. She’s awesome at making everything personally tailored for the client. She is very organized and allows everything to run smoothly. From her very elaborate emails to her talent in design that is accentuated all over the studio with its flawless interior, she is a great communicator and artist. I’ve taken photos at other competitive studios, but I have never had such a phenomenal experience as I have at McClanahan Studio. Dan and Alex are really down-to-earth people who extend over the boundary of professional and client; they approach their clients in the friendliest ways possible. My time at McClanahan Studio was one of the most enjoyable things I have done. For seniors or parents of seniors unsure of what the senior picture experience entails, I was in the same position. But, I can now say that it was one of my most memorable experiences. Go to McClanahan Studio if you enjoy fun, creativity, and simply a great time!

I can't say enough good things about McClanahan Studio. I knew for years that I wanted to bring my kids here for their senior photos, and I was so excited when the time finally came. My boys love Dan, and it's great to have someone who they can relate to so well. We literally drove 17 hours each way from North Carolina to have Dan photograph my oldest son for his senior portraits and it was worth every minute and every penny. I chose Dan because of his incredible imagination, his ability to create the perfect images from a few details I gave him about Jake, and his super fun personality and energy. I am in love with my album and wall art, and am so thankful to have these images to enjoy when Jake leaves for college.
