Poor customer service at best. I was charged for an online order that I never picked up and they won't refund me the tax, company policy. Paying tax for an item I never received is ridiculous. Anna, very poor management skills in resolving customer issues.

Clean and orderly. Some of the isles were too narrow so people had to back track into other isles to let others pass in the main throughway. Came in for an art pad an assortment of pencils and kneadable erasers and a calligraphy marker. Delighted the pencils and pad were on clearance.

We were looking for a specific item and the employees had trouble finding at first. But that was fine. The girl working the cashier was the problem. She yelled at us and refused to take our coupon when we gave it to her. It was a fine coupon that would have worked and saved us money but she refused to use it. Terrible customer service skills. I will never go to Michaels here again and am advising my fellow crafters in the Burlington area to not shop here either. You're better off going to Jo Ann's.

Went and did the kids free craft. The room is too small, and there is only one door to go in and out of so it gets crowded/full fast and a line forms blocking the way out. But the turn around was quick so there wasn't more than a 10 min wait, but that's still not fun with little ones. But the room is clean, and the ladies running it did great considering the space (out of their control). The store is well stocked and clean.

Michales isn't a bad store. They have some decent sales and coupons. I was a little sad to find out that their coupon policy is really tight. You can only use multiple coupons only if they aren't the same "type". By that I mean that you can't use a it 50% off one item coupon and a 40%off one item together, but you can use a 50% off one item coupon and a 5 dollars off a purchase of 25 dollars or more coupon. It's a bit frustrating. One other positive though is that they accept competitor coupons. So if you have a Joann Fabrics coupon or a Hobby Lobby coupon you can use it at Michales.

I don’t normally come to this craft store and my recent visit confirmed why. My mil wanted to go check out all the clearance Christmas stuff as she likes to get Christmas items for the following year. This place opens at 9 l. We get there it’s 9:45 and the person working was obviously not happy about us showing up. So we are just looking around. Nearly all the Christmas clearance is broken which I understand but don’t try and sell it. Then we looked for some materials we needed for an upcoming project I was thinking about. And they had what I wanted but it was way more expensive then the craft stores I usually shop at who also allow me to use coupons. We found a few things that we needed that the other store doesn’t carry and went to pay. The worker again the same one. Was not happy about us wanting to buy anything. Didn’t say anything to us or even smile it’s was just an unhappy why are you here face that I felt bad. I could see her eyes rolling when we asked to cash out. My mil who never says a bad thing about anyone even commented that the worker looked happy to be there NOT. I have to say that with the unhappy, rude service and over priced items I will not be rushing back here EVER.

I have mixed feelings about Michaels, but the last two experiences I had at this store solidified my opinion as negative (but not hatred). See, I have never understood why someone designs a craft store with tiny aisles. It is a craft store! People are going to stop and look at materials. This isn't a grab-n-go type of situation, so it is just poorly organized in a too-small space for the purpose it serves. Then there is the staff. This location is terribly understaffed and it is hard to find someone to help you. They are nice, I'll say that, but there aren't enough and it seems like they aren't around to help you. Then, because there isn't enough staff, the waits are long, even for pick-up orders! It is frustrating. Recently, I went to get something framed. The man who works the framing counter is lovely, professional, and does great work. When I went to go pick it up, however, the person that finished the frame cracked in when they put in the screws and they were going to give it to me like nothing was wrong! Excuse me, that is just plain bad service. Luckily, the woman who was helping me when I picked it up saw the damage and it got reordered. This is all dandy and all, but I took it the weekend I did to give time to get it in time for a birthday gift and because of their mistake, the frame has to be reordered and it won't be ready on time. That is just unacceptable in my opinion. You would think that someone who is finishing a frame would know how not to crack it, or at least call and say that the frame will be delayed because of it. I was not pleased, so after I get this order, I will not be returning to get anything framed here. It is not a reflection on the main framing employee (I think his name is Victor?) because he is wonderful and professional, but the process after the fact. That, combined with the fact that custom framing is expensive, it should have been done well the first time, in time.

I called Michaels to see if they had silk embroidery ribbon, and was very excited when they told me that they had it in stock. I made sure to explain to them that I was looking for specifically silk ribbon, and not cotton floss over the phone. When I got there three separate clerks directed me to the embroidery floss. After speaking to a manager it was established that they didn't in fact carry what I was looking for. I explained to the manager that I was very upset because I clearly explained what I was looking for over the phone because I live an hour away and didn't want to drive two hours for nothing. The manager didn't even offer me a coupon or anything for my trouble. I decided to make the best of it and poke around for anything else I may need or want. I was thoroughly disappointed by the selection. This is a great store if you're looking to make someone a cheap, ugly sweater they'll never wear, hot glue some some tacky fake flowers to some plastic nonsense, or make other gifts that no one will ever want. Serious crafters value their time and buy the best possible materials. This store is more for the bored grandmother. If you're going to make something, make something truly nice. Don't waste your time shopping for materials at Michaels.

I LOVE this store! So many things to look at here, I can easily spend an hour just looking around. I consider it my "home depot" of choice! From some of the coolest frames, home decor and holiday decorations, activities for my kids and needs of my own, it's my go to place. The staff is always friendly and helpful too!

Unfortunately, I have to give a review here that is based on the reseller of a Cricut product. My wife was not informed as to the usually generous return/exchange policy from Michaels as it excludes Cricut products except in BRAND NEW UNOPENED condition. A little bit of communication at the time of the sale seems obvious for the ONE PRODUCT excluded from the policy. The machine was used for less than two weeks and up and broke. I would recommend purchasing Cricut products at Walmart where there is not an exclusion to the return policy. Shame on Cricut for not crediting stores back for defective merchandise, and shame on Michaels for not negotiating terms allowing them to take care of their own customers in house, nor informing customers purchasing the ONE ITEM excluded. Sad that WalMart gets the business going forward.

Not exactly thrilled by the experience of Michael's. Looking for end caps for jewelry making for a memory wire bracelet. Not seeing any, I pushed the call button for service. When someone arrived I asked for help in finding this item, showing this girl the wire and asking for the end caps to close it off. She brought me to an actual end cap of the store where selected items are presented. She says "this is an end cap". At first I thought she was joking then I realized she was serious. I told her to go help the other lady. That would make one hell of a heavy bracelet. I'm done here.

The store has been revamped and looks great. Prices better than AC. Moore, and staff was super sweet. My only disappointment was that I was looking for information on a Cricut machine and no one knew anything about them. Not the staff’s fault, someone should be making it a priority to train them....especially since they had about 15 Cricut machines behind the register....someone behind the register should know about them! I was ready to buy one yesterday.

This is in my opinion the better of the two Lincoln locations for selection of products. The store is well laid out, and is much better than its old building they moved out of. They always have deals and coupons going through email, social media, apps, and in store which makes things so much cheaper for all your crafting or event needs. The staff is always helpful, and very approachable. I hardly ever see any male employees which is odd. The seasonal merchandise is always great, and new every year. The location itself is easy to find from main roads, however parking is kind of lacking and the lot is very hard to manuver with foot traffic and the crowded stalls.

What a stupid customer service policy! A week ago I bought two bottles of Martha Stewart paint, (crazy expensive) and when I begin my project, I noticed they were two different colors. I went to back to swap my unopened bottle for the correct color. I was told without the receipt it would not be possible to exchange. It makes me wonder how a company can set up a policy where they would choose to lose a customer for life, over swapping one bottle for another of the same stuff, which literally costs them nothing. Does this make sense?

I went to Michael's on 17th St. in Idaho Falls today. I was looking for a specific item. I'd checked online and was told Michael's sold it. I looked EVERYWHERE in the store for it! I had gone through all the aisles, from one corner of the store to the other. Couldn't find it - and more importantly, I couldn't find ANYONE to help me. I saw one person who told me they were a vendor and was just restocking craft books - and they got asked A LOT if they worked there! At one point I heard someone knock on a door near the front of the store - where employees go to meet with managers apparently??? I headed that direction and looked through the glass but all I could see - without opening the door - was a red "Michael's" vest hanging from a chair. It was like a Ghost Town. There was ONE cashier ringing someone up. I went and stood in line. Waited my turn and asked the Clerk if they could help me find the item which I showed them on my cell phone. They told me it was in their "sticker aisle". I went to look. No luck. Returned to the cash register to find someone else - again, a Lone Ranger. No one else around! I asked them to please help me. I was in a hurry at this point because I'd been in the store for almost an hour. They told me there wasn't very many employees because it was in the middle of a shift change. She walked me to the aisle but couldn't find it. We returned to the cash register where a supervisor CHEWED THE CLERK OUT IN FRONT OF ME - For Leaving the Register!!! I asked if the supervisor would help me. She was able to locate something similar to what I was looking for but not exactly. I decided to get it and went to the register to pay. It was the same Clerk who got in trouble for trying to help me. I know this is a LONG post but I'm hoping Management at Michael's will read this, not just customers. Apparently, customers should AVOID MICHAEL'S ON THURSDAYS AT 5:00PM Because that's when they have a shift change and THERE WILL BE NO ONE THERE TO HELP YOU. They don't bother to staff the store with anyone but a Clerk at ONE register and a VERY CRANKY Supervisor who doesn't have the decency to reprimand an employee IN A QUIET ROOM - AWAY FROM CUSTOMERS - Or take into consideration that the EMPLOYEE WAS HELPING A Customer! When no one else WOULD or COULD! NO ONE ELSE! I apologized to the Clerk but I honestly feel the SUPERVISOR should apologize. NO ONE should be verbally abused for HELPING a customer. NO ONE. With my sincere THANKS to Clerk "M". I REALLY DID APPRECIATE YOU for going out of your way to try to help me when I was in a hurry. YOU'RE THE REASON I MADE THE PURCHASE even though it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Just wanted you to know that. I'll also be filling out my Customer Survey that's on my receipt too!

Ordered a custom mat for something I was framing. Went through the process with the lady at the framing counter who measured the poster, and the frame which I bought at the store. When I went to put everything together, the mat was to long for the frame and I had to cut about 1/16" off of one edge. Then after it was all put together I turned the frame over, only to notice there was a large dangling piece of mat that was hanging on by a thread on the interior section of the mat. Lousy, lousy work. I would expect better for a $30 custom mat.

Okay service . . . A little miss communication occurred about the online order pickup process, and where we could be checked out for that at. We were sent to the back of the store (framing dept.) only to be told the framing dept. was closed, and that we'd need to journey back up to the front of the store for checkout. . Once we reached the front of the store (again) there was quite the line (again), in which we had to wait in a second time to attempt to buy the same item we attempted to purchase the first time. . . Second time was successful, just wish they could make orders a little less confusing for the customer

Great selection for crafting supplies for almost everything, super friendly and helpful staff! Great coupons too! Definitely recommend this place! They have a whole aisle of clearance typically, and they always do holiday sales.They also have a custom framing department, do buy online pick up in store orders, teach classes, and host kids club! They offer a rewards program as well, and tons of coupons via email if ya subscribe. Ya would be hard pressed not to buy something at a discount between deals, sales, coupons, and clearance. The everyday value program is amazing!

I would give it a complete 5 stars but I've hadone something happen to me 2 times now and it's starting to bug me.. as I make a mad dash there to get a random thing I need to finish a project at 1045 at night and Melissa has walked up to me and said "have you found everything you need because we close in 10 minutes and want to get things going." I know very well how it is to want to leave work and there's always that one person making you stay late, but I knew exactly what I needed and wasn't spending anytime browsing and had 10 minutes. I spending to much damn money at that place for someone to be rude like that. First time it bothered me but I didn't think too much into it but for a second it upset me enough to write this review. So thanks melissa , hope you got to leave work on time:)

I love this store! Only knocked off a star because the bathrooms are usually pretty gross and sometimes they just wrap a pipe cleaner around the lock and that is how you are to secure the door. Use the bathroom before you come and you will get great deals and wonderful service!

Michaels can be compared to hobby lobby seeing as it's main product line is craft items. They carry alot of seasonal items as well.
