I was getting married on Oahu. I poured through portfolios, I interviewed a dozen photographers. I deleted quickly. That doesn't imply that others weren't good at their craft. But it really comes down to what you are ultimately looking for. Photographs? Memories? Visual Magic? Any of those are superb reasons to sign a contract. But I was looking for something more. I was looking for art. It was singularly clear when I met Marcia that she would offer this. Because she's an artist and she's global and she really GOT me. Our wedding photos are 'almost' priceless. I say that because 5 years later, their status changed. We returned to Hawaii with our young son. And I hired Marcia to take our first family photos. When I saw those, I was flatlined--my heart just couldn't take it, too precious for words. They say 3's a charm, yes? When we had our daughter, we were back once again. It's incredible to me, to see this volume of art.....from just the two of us together, to our first child, to our final family. All resonating in these gorgeous images, that match in tone and color and style...I can literally mix up photo shoots and it all feels like a visual time capsule of our lives. We are gifted to be her subjects and I'm so lucky to have these photographic treasures for always.

We met Marcia at a wedding expo in Honolulu. Both my wife and I had been married before and we were looking for something different than the typical wedding photographer. The expo was filled with photographers and we thought there was a handful that could do the job, but our philosophy is that years down the road, the photographs are the only thing that we will have from that day. As we walked up to Marcia's small booth, it was apparent that Marcia's pictures were very special, she captured the emotion in the moment and that's what we wanted to be reminded of in the future. Our wedding pictures are beautiful and exactly what we hoped it would be, in fact we have several of those pictures posted up in various parts of our house to remind of that wonderful day and enrich our lives. My Wife and I chose Marcia to photograph our Wedding at Paradise Cove this October. We met before the marriage day, and were blown away by Marcia's work, and how caring and passionate she is about what she does. On the day she was so efficient, friendly, and co-ordinated our 40 guests amazingly. The family is very important to my wife and I, especially after losing a loved one earlier in the year. When we got the photographs back, we were overwhelmed with how she captured every moment, and every reaction and the love is shown throughout the evening between our families. She took absolutely gorgeous pictures of our wedding, so we called her to take family pictures at the beach and she captured some beautiful pictures of our older son, who mostly didn't want to smile on demand because he was 2.
