I have had numerous photography shoots with Kelley, varying from Senior portraits, to modeling portfolios, to business advertising shoots. Each time, Kelley has been nothing short of an incredible photographer. Kelley provides her clients with some of the most creative ideas that vary greatly from the typical "mall photography studio." She uses a classy and elegant flair in all of her work and she does a beautiful job with her photo editing as well. Would recommend for any person of any age!

If you value your memories, Kelley is the person to make sure you end up with great photos that you can cherish for generations to come. She is very detail oriented and has a great eye for capturing moments. Honestly, if you want just regular photos, just go to one of those people that learned from YouTube, but if you want pictures that stands the test of time, go to someone that has had years of experience and training to be the best at what they do. For my money, Kelley is one of the best around the Atlanta area. As for prices, I am the type of person that is willing to pay top dollar for great photos and I think Kelley is worth every penny.

After having my senior drape picture made at my school I was very upset. I went to Kelley Channell studio and she spent so much time with me talking to me and taking drape and cap and gown pictures for me. I fell in love with the pictures and decided to have her take all of my senior pictures. Kelley and Wednesday Channell invested so much time into me and my pictures. Kelley drove me all around Athens looking for different photo opportunities and Wednesday did my makeup for my pictures. Kelley took 3 boys ( 2 teens and a 5 year old) and turned their sitting into magic! She spent time with each one making them comfortable and getting to know a little about them. She captured their personalities perfectly and even managed smile from the teenagers who smile for no one. I cannot say enough positive things about my visit to Kelley Channell Studio & Portraiture. Aside from being a personal friend of mine for many years, she was born to be a photographer. She has natural talent, and knows what to look for. I have not had quality portraits of this caliber taken since perhaps my high school senior year. I was absolutely blown away when I saw the final product. I am a guy who is more accustomed to just settling for an occasional selfie. Even those pictures I mainly just use for accountability sake, and to monitor progress. It is a different experience completely when Kelley is able to capture my spirit, personality, and smile in a single image. I often catch myself smiling while looking at other works of Kelley's, and not just my own portraits that she has done. When this happens, in my opinion, she not only accomplished what she set out to do, but she exceeded my own expectations. Thank you so much Kelley.

I have had many dealings with Kelley on many business levels from taking the best photos ever of me, to her buying props and promoting my business with hers. She is a very good person often donating her time to the less fortunate. For example she offered to do a photo shoot and build a portfolio for one of my customers granddaughters who needed one for a potential commercial deal. The family had NO money and I called Kelley and asked her how cheap could she do a photo shoot for this child. I was going to help pay, but Kelley said NO WAY she would do it for free. This is the kind of person she is. I read on here where someone complained of her bringing her 13 year old daughter to help. What's wrong with that?? She helped her at our photo shoot too. She was a big help. At 12 years old I was running a man's grocery store after school. Kids can be taught many skills at a early age. I am glad Kelley is teaching her daughter a useful skill that can help her also become a great photographer. She goes above and beyond the call of duty to make her clients happy.

Horrible experience. This was the photographer that was chosen for our daughters ballet performance photos and we were less than pleased. They were very disorganized at the event and couldn’t even show me my daughters proofs at the event (in May) and said they would send me my proofs via email. The proofs were not sent to me until mid June. Her packages were outrageously priced so I asked to pay for digital images and she said they don’t do that ? Which, most modern photographers do digitals ? The digitals were $50 per image ! Im all about paying for quality work but really there were very very few images worth paying for. Terrible experience, horrible communication skills, super disorganized and expensive for what it was.

She's absolutely fantastic at making people comfortable in front of the camera, especially children. Kelley may not be the cheapest photographer in town, but in a day and age of "shoot and burn" photography the old saying stands true: you get what you pay for. She cares about her products, which are always of the highest quality, so a trip to the local big box photo lab to print them just won't do. Trust me on this one - spend the extra money and have it done the right way.

Kelly's funky studio is on the site of an old cotton mill and surrounded by woods, so there's plenty of interesting outdoor locations for shooting a variety of scenes and moods. Indoors you can opt for eclectic antiques, vintage industrial, of most any other look you want. My fiancée hired Kelley to take our proposal photos in June of this year. She arrived an hour early to ensure lighting and focus would be perfect to capture our big moment and was patient when I unexpectedly arrived an hour even later than what was planned. Due to my tardiness, the night rolled in making the photos hard to capture. The photos turned out better than we could have hoped for and she was even kind enough to offer a discount when the nighttime photos were more pixelated than she wanted (although she couldn't help the time of the proposal!) Awful experience! Hired Ms.Channell for our wedding. May 17,2014, and had to take her to court, December 17,2014, to get a court order for the photos after 6 months. She attempted to manipulate the photos so they would not be printable and then tried to extort money in order for us to print. She was over an hour late. Instead of taking pictures she was drinking beer and eating. She solicited guest for photo shoots. She brought her minor daughter (13 years old) as a second photographer. She is very rude and arrogant, sending nasty emails, letters and calling people names on social media. After all the problems I had with her I found she had complaints with the Better Business Bureau. It saddens me to know I will NEVER have beautiful wedding pictures like other brides.
