A great experience getting pictures taken. Very professional with a personal one on one type of atmospher. Other places there are people watching you getting pictures and is very distracting and I think unprofessional. My family we were in a Super Target and had a teenager looking girl with a headset on come up to us while we were shopping to ask us if interested in getting photos. Very unprofessional and not sure if she went to a school or a store 1 day orintation on photo taking. Thats not the sort of thing that you do on a spur of the moment. These so called Super stores are putting a bad impression when it comes to how we have to do things now a days. Thank goodness Bruce Wilson is here.

On January 18th, I walked into this location seeking assistance with restoring an old photograph of my Grandmother. I was greeted and promptly introduced to Sandy, the individual who performs the photo restorations. Sandy quoted me at $111 plus tax and informed me it could take 4 to 6 weeks, sometimes even longer. I did not have an issue with the price and informed Sandy that she may take all the time she needed. I paid half that day and would pay the other half upon pick up. On February 27th, I received a call informing me that the job had been completed successfully and today, on the 28th, I went out on my lunch break to pick up the new photograph. This photograph was meant to be a gift to my Mother who had no pictures of her Mother and so, I was excited to finally have the opportunity to provide said gift. I walked in and shortly after, the young lady at the reception desk greeted me and then proceeded to show me the new photo. The excitement I had felt quickly turned into indifference. I paid the remaining balance and was soon back in my car driving off to find something to eat. Once I sat down, I continued to look at the photo. I stared at the black smudges that were supposed to represent shadows, the blurry outlines, the missing hair, and the deformed arm and tried as much as I could to convince myself “Hey, it’s not too bad. …right? Maybe I’m just being too critical.” I arrived back to my workplace and showed the picture to my coworkers. Their faces had said it all. There was no way I could give this to my Mother with a straight face. The work that was done was sloppy. In fact, it would be hard to argue that it had even taken this individual a week to work on this thing. You see, we work in the Information Technology field and most of us have been exposed to Photoshop and so have a general idea of what it can do. Eventually, I called to express my dissatisfaction and was told to return the photos, but that since it was worked on, I could only be provided with a partial refund. I did just that. Now I’ll have to consult with my credit card company to see what steps I can take to get my full refund from this place. I cannot speak for the photography services, but if they’d employ a person like this, I would tread with caution when doing business with them. I hope that my review saves other individuals the time and disappointment from doing business here. Update in response to owner: If by cautioning me, Sandy meant when she said it's "do-able", then I suppose she must have. I don't know about the rest of you, but when someone takes a job, I expect them to provide good results. Imagine hiring a company to provide a service and that company, knowing they lack the capabilities to do a good job, takes the job and then expects to be compensated because, well, according to them: "I worked on it" (a direct statement from Sandy). I would have respected them more if they had turned me down. I think my entire ordeal with this place speaks for itself.

For 1 Digital I believe $83.95 is very pricey. I thought I was getting more then 1 picture with this cost. Although he only took 2 pictures of each student. With tax and all the other fees attached cost it was a little over $100.00. My niece's school used a different Photographer and my sister was able to get all 5 images sent digitally for almost the same price. That's including the release. I am satisfied with the picture but not satisfied with the cost...

Needed to have a wedding photo remade. The brides mother was not available when the bride was having her picture taken with the father. This was an important event and was she was devastated not to be in the picture. I turn my S.D. card over to Bruce Wilson and he and his digital artist did an amazing job of photo shopping the mother into the picture. Everyone commented on how real it looked.

Having won an afternoon with Bruce Wilson in a silent auction at Florida Professional Photographer's convention in August, I spent time with Bruce being mentored in the art of studio portraiture. It was truly a pleasure to watch a pro in action Most people do not realize how much attention to detail goes into a great portrait, the result being classic and timeless. I have attended many classes and workshops in portrait photography, and I can say that Bruce has honed his craft and makes it appear effortless. We spent two hours working with a 21 year old model and the shots that Bruce got were so incredible. When that young lady grows up and starts a family of her own, she will look back on those photos--where she will be forever young and beautiful-- and remember that day and smile.

Pricing for the graduation portraits' digital copy is extremely expensive (more than $80 PER PICTURE!) and on top of pricing, we're charged a "handling fee" of almost $10 (for digital pictures?!!!) I find these prices extremely high, but since they're the "official" school photographer, we didn't really have a choice if we wanted any pictures at all due to the venue. On top of all that, it took over two weeks, an email (from which I received absolutely no response) and finally a phone call for us to finally get our digital pictures emailed to us. Customer service in this type of business is everything and I found Bruce Wilson Photography sadly lacking. If you're going to provide contact information, you should really make sure that someone is manning that contact email during "this especially busy time of year" (one of the reasons I waited a bit to wait to order, to give things a chance to calm down.) I have one more child in high school, and I can hope before they graduate that the school reconsiders who they contract with for these once in a lifetime memories.
