I’m seriously disappointed with the service I received from this location after traveling two hours to this studio back in my hometown. I was told that my appointment had been canceled because of the amount of staff on hand. Who’s fault was that? Not mines when your running a business and further more there needs to be a better system put in place not only was my time wasted but so was my gas. I could say a lot more but imma end here.... wow I wonder how many other people experienced this? Sorry I will not be back. ✍

We had an appointment for 5:10, we weren’t taken back until 6:20. By that point we were all unhappy. Thankfully my children are well behaved and still smiled for the photographer. Every time I asked how much longer, I was told 5 more minutes. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because I did like the pictures that were taken. I wasn’t offered a discount or anything for the inconvenience and it de-railed the rest of our evening, dinner....etc. Then we were asked to give 4 or 5 stars on here to win something. Honor your appointment times, be honest about the wait (we could have had dinner while waiting), and maybe you’ll earn higher ratings. We absolutely will not return or recommend this studio to anyone.

Yesterday was my second visit with portrait innovations. Overall, I'm happy with the quality of their work, and the general atmosphere. The enthusiastic and animated photographers were able to coax a plethora of smiles and poses from my shy 2 year old son. My only criticism is that the nature of their business means they charge per shot, instead of per photo. Therefore you must select only a few, or one, of the best shots to get the best deal. In addition, they have so many options for selecting and printing the shots in question it's easy to be overwhelmed and just select the 10 dollar special. Overall, I've had a great experience though. I'd definitely go again next year for more photos.

Had the worst experience there ever today. Was told by employee that this place went under new management and they had a new way of doing things. I’ve have used this spot atleast four time in the past to take family pictures and loved it. Today was my last time. One they do not provide multiple backgrounds anymore just black, white and one seasonal color. Two the photographer we had was very unprofessional. Didn’t suggest props, poses etc. Just stood there as if she didn’t want to be there. The pictures came out terrible. Now under new management they only allow 15 mins and will stop afterwards for photos. PLEASE bring back old management. Until then I suggest you take your business elsewhere.

They have to take the pictures in their order using backgrounds and props you don't want. The photos are good quality, there are good deals and they are ready in 15 minutes, but they won't deviate from their process no matter what the customer says.

Bad business! The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and cancelled our appointment for arriving 5 minutes late. When we questioned her unwritten policy she could not confirm it was on her website or in the email reminder. Why? Because she was literally making it up. Even another customer came over and told us she was lying, there is no cancellation for being 5 minutes late! Never going there again. The new manager is terrible

Save your money and go elsewhere!!! This place was horrible. We tried to have our daughters 6 month easter pics done here and the photographer and i use this word loosely was impatient with my baby had no clue was using props that she would hurt herself or just inappropriate. We were told to be prompt and we were 10 minutes early made us wait additional 15 minutes till it started and by then my baby was fussy...imagine that!! This place is not warm and inviting. I will never do business here. And they were not busy no one else was there. No excuse for bad customer service all around and when i called to let them know how unhappy i was an even more unkind Gilbert didnt even care about any of our concerns.

I absolutely love this place. Ever since most portrait studios closed down Portrait Innovations has been able to take over where most left off. I love their inexpensive packages with high quality work. The staff is super accommodating and wonderful. Best portrait experience ever. I would definitely recommend anyone go here for any occasion. My favorite portrait studio.

George was my photographer and he was excellent. I went to picture people to take my maternity pictures and it was the worst experience. I was scared at first to get my son pictures done because of my experience and I kept hearing people say picture innovation was better. I am only giving a 4 star and not 5 Because The prices was high and the wait but honestly I really can’t complain about the wait because George took his time with me and I would want everybody to get the same treatment. I don’t understand the Appointments if it’s always a wait. But my pictures came out great we had a great session and I am happy customer. My only big complain was the price.But this my first child and and his first session picture so I need them. Everybody have there owe opinion on things. My opinion is try it yourself yes I look at reviews all the time but a lot of times I check it out myself. My son is 5 months my photography George was able to make my son smile in all his pictures with no help from the parents.

First let me say that the printer was broke so I have to be inconvenience by coming back to pick up my photos or pay a handling fee. Second I waited 50 minutes passed my appointment time. Third the quality of the photos were not great. Alot of them were dark. And every time I came to take photos there are always different people working. Why can't you keep photographers. Also they couldn't even write my name on the cd that I had to wait 30 minutes for. I will not recommend having your portraits taken here ever. I will not return. Very Unsatisfied Customer

Photographer could have been a little more kid friendly. We had to make our daughter smile the photographer just shot the photos. We came in about two years ago and the photographer then did what she could to make our toddler and baby smile and laugh all while catching the moment. Also we had a scheduled appointment but had to wait about an hour for services.

The quality of the experience and pictures from this location is priceless. If you have disciplined will-power, you can walk out of the session with a sizeable amount of photos for just $30 or less with one of their promo coupons. Buyer be warned... and pleased... though, they take REALLY good pictures. , so you'll probably fall in love with more than just one picture. The extra bucks you spend are worth it, go see for yourself. Shoutout to George for always being a rockstar with my infant's monthly portraits!

I'll probably never go back. The deal that was advertised was a scam to get you in the door. Plus the package was actually $15 more than stated in the ad. They took what felt like 100 pictures and had us pick out the ones we liked, then told us our package only included 1 pose after they had us pick the top 5... I've never had this problem with Picture People.

Ultimately, we will be back, pictures were great. Wish they had more varied package options. Packages available to get all of your shots digitally are expensive, but a good value of looking for a ton of prints and photo books. Prices aren't posted online from what I could find (Oct 2018). Only recommendation is to call and book your appointment. I booked online and was told shortly before my appointment that they don't honor online bookings made after hours. I admittedly made an appointment the night before. If you can't honor the online appointment system, don't bother having it at all, or at least stop someone from booking appointments less than 24 hours in advance online. All was well that ended well however. TLDR: Great pictures, a little pricey, call to book your appointment.

I have never been treated with such ignorance in my life. I don’t allow my children to speak to me let alone the way this staff spoke to me over the phone. We didn’t make our appointment after the studio had the wrong scheduled time and my confirmation had a different time. The staff when we arrived was nasty. I received an eye roll and had to reschedule. I purposely rescheduled knowing I would not be showing up again. I’m thankful my kids didn’t get out of the car. Never again will this place get a phone call from me. The voicemails left to my phone were unprofessional and lacked any respect or consideration. The staff needs a class in customer service. In all honesty the staff needs an overhaul and new employees with better work ethic should be put in place. Shame on management for hiring such poor quality employees.

This place is a joke. I cannot give zero stars, so I will give them one, which is one more than they deserve. We were called the day before our appt and told not to arrive early, however if we were 5 mins late we would have to cancel and reschedule appt. We show up on time and are told we have to wait 45 mins (the amount of time it took us to drive there...)!!! We decide to take the kids for food next door, received a call saying we needed to be back in 5 mins or out appt would be canceled. Came back, proceeded to sit for an additional 40 mins. The photographer was rude to the children, impatient, took terrible pictures and had an attitude with us the entire time. She took maybe (generous estimate) ten minutes for pictures. Then proceeded to rush us through ordering and offered no suggestions or opinions of her own. Terrible experience. Save your time and money.

Sister called to schedule a photo shoot for her and her friends for her 16th birthday party.they asked everything and everything was good. Dad drove them, they get there and say all the parents need to be there. It be nice if they said something before that. Bad customer service, never again!

Not that great and quite pricey. Everything seems really dated in the studio, like they haven’t changed their style in about 25 years. A definite early 90’s vibe. One of the people in a picture on the wall had a mullet and a mustache. I will say that the pictures came out ok, but we were not able to purchase the CD without buying a bunch of other stuff that we didn’t really want. Also, you don’t own the digital pictures so you have to go back to them and pay a premium to print more out. Not the greatest deal.

Staff wa since but was overly packed and priced. Never again doing portrait innovations. They close at 6p we didn’t get seen until 8pm. Our appointment was 520pm we waited for hours. I’ll stick with picture people. I wanted pictures badly of my son picture people was booked so we came to portrait Innovations I should of learned my lesson from when he was 6months old. Worst nightmare ever if I wasn’t coming from Philly I would of left from the door and went somewhere else.

First experience with Portrait Innovations in Wilmington (Studio #163) and our last. This was our first Christmas experience with our 6 month old daughter. Not only were they not courteous or experienced of handling a 6 month old, they rushed through the photoshoot, left in the middle and then moved us to a second room where now our daughter was not happy. Upon reviewing the photos we expressed to the management how unhappy we were with ALL of the pictures and there was no care or concern. There was no offer of retake while having an empty studio. We suggested different poses to make our daughter more comfortable, and they actually faked the shots. Reluctantly we bought a picture only because it was our very first Christmas picture with our daughter, the worst part is that now we have to find another place to take pictures 20 days before Christmas.

Wish i could give this place no stars. This place is the biggest scam ever and horrible customer service and management to match! My family had our holiday photos done here last year. Although a little pricey for $200, we decided to go back again this year since we are still fairly new to the area. HORRIBLE MISTAKE! Our appointment was at 10:25, we walk in at 10:30 and the rude woman at the front told us "You're late, we can't do your pictures. You only have a 5 minute grace period." A 5 MINUTE GRACE PERIOD?! That's absurd! After explaining to her we had to get 2 kids (ages 1 and 2) out of their carseats (which is no easy task living in the northeast in the winter), I had family come from out of town for this, and my sister has been in and out of the hospital with MS, these pictures clearly meant a lot to us and she was still a Grinch saying meanly "The 5 minute period is on our website and we're not taking your pictures" I pulled up the email reminder they sent, nothing about the grace period. I make her listeb ti the voicemail they left me that mentions nothing about a grace period. I pull up the text reminder and again therw is no mentions about a grace period. I made her pull up this piece of hog wash "grace period policy" and after wasting 30 MINUTES furiously looking for anything to deny taking our pictures she timidly admits to not being able to find this so-called policy. Customers can now over hear the completion and jump to our defense saying there was no such thing as a "5 minute grace period" and other got there late and still got their photos taken. Needless to say they finally took our pictures $329 later! Absurd!!! I will NOT be returning and will be spreading the words to others not to use their overpriced sub-par quality services and letting everyone know about our horrible experience with Portrait Innovations of Delaware! And the prices they advertise are not accurate. Be prepared to spend well over $200 even with that $19.99 cupon. I will be going to JC Penny for our photography needs because they are a true company that knows customer service, management, and how to deliver!

I wish the photos we're not $400!! That is way too expensive and I guess I will only visit when I get another coupon. They do not offer only the High res CD for $100 like other places. I wish we didn't have to take 60 photos to just buy 1..

Once again Portait Innovations did a wonderful job on family pictures. We started going when my first child was born. I received one of their coupons and we got pictures of the whole family. I took my daughter back for a few different occasions. The hardest part was choosing just one out of the many great posses. Our most recent was with our second child for her first pictures. I can’t wait for the next session with both children in costumes, and at Christmas for he whole family.

Great Customer Service and Products! We were greeted at the door and told that we will be seen as soon as a session was completed. We had to wait some time past out appointment before our session started (nothing more than other portrait studios. ) Once seen, the photographer listened to what we wanted and delivered with beautiful photos. She worked really well with our toddler and infant! I wish pricing was a little lower. Overall we had a great experience and loved our photos!

So unhappy about our session. 1st of all if your child has glasses count this place out immediately as they dont have the proper equipment or technique to accomodate that. The pics were alful the photographer didnt tey to engage my children n when they did post nicely she didnt take the pic fast enough. After reviewing all 75 pics only 1 decent one was taken n it was only of one child. The lady then told me had my son tilted his head down the glare wouldnt gave been so bad in every single pic WHY DIDNT THEY SAY THAT IN THE 1ST PLACE!!!! not only did i waste my time i wasted my money on a halfa$$ pic because i needed 1 for the holidays. I got the 29.99 package which actually is 39.99 cuz they dont tell u till ur paying a 9.99 handlung fee even though the extra item is shipped to their location that i have drive to puck up. Im so dissappointed. Ill never go back!!!! Why would i pay for a pic of my child with white dots in his eyes from the glare of his glasses. How is it that a daycare can have amazing professional pics donr yet an actual portrait studio cannot.. Avoid wasting your time and money!
