Working with Marilyn was an absolutely marvelous experience! I was really uncertain going into the shoot, but she made me feel so comfortable (and beautiful!), gave excellent direction, and provided a delicious spread of little foods and teas. She dedicates the whole day to you, so you never feel rushed or pressured. When I came back for my photo reveal, I sat there and cried - her creative eye and vision (not to mention her skill) is so amazing, she made me look like an absolute goddess! 10/10 would work with again, and recommend to literally everyone I know!

Marilyn is absolutely amazing to work with! She goes above and beyond to make you feel confident and comfortable during your entire day. The personal touches she puts into your day go far above and beyond what anyone would expect. Homemade baked goods, coffee and tea, fresh fruit, chocolates and much more are all available that day to be sure you are not hungry. She was so accommodating and made me feel absolutely stunning! Starting the day with hair and makeup makes you feel like a princess and that day it really is all about you!! I would highly recommend going out if your comfort zone and doing a shoot with menagerie photography and Marilyn!! I would give her 10 stars if I could!

I had the pleasure to experience a photo session with Menagerie Photography this weekend. From start to finish - makeup, hair, props, posing, viewing the final gallery - it was AMAZING. I felt pampered, I felt like a princess, and most of all, I felt beautiful. This came through in the photos - there were so many that I absolutely loved that picking just a few was almost impossible. I will definitely be going back one day for more photos, and I highly recommend them. They were professional, but also made me really comfortable. I was allowed to view my photos that day. When I first heard about Marilyn's photography studio, I thought, "That would be a fun thing to do!" But it wasn't a priority with all the stuff I had going on. Then I saw pictures of a close friend, and saw the emotion that came through the lens and I had to go! Having a day to be pampered getting my hair and make up done, having snacks and music chosen just for me, and having a photo shoot was definitely a LOT of fun! But something I wasn't expecting was the confidence I gained in the process. I normally don't see myself from the outside except a passing mirror check on the way out the door. During the "reveal", seeing myself through someone else's perspective, it was neat to see the self-assuredness I gained somewhere along the line. I'm celebrating who I've become after ups and downs and the turns my life has taken to get me where I am right now. And Marilyn made it possible for me to see it for the first time. ... I encourage everyone to make this opportunity their own! ;-)

What a fantastic experience! The thrill and enjoyment of stepping outside of my comfort zone couldn't have been done without Marilyn. My experience at Menagerie was awesome. I decided to do the boudoir package to give to my husband as a wedding present (although it ended up being a gift to myself, too!) From the beginning I could tell Marilyn was a true professional. She talked me through the process and took great care to ensure my modesty and make sure I was comfortable. She had me do a Pinterest idea board of what I wanted my photos to look like so she could be sure they came out just how I wanted. The day of the shoot, she walked me through every step of the process and made it feel so natural. That day, I felt like a supermodel! After the shoot, Marilyn does a quick edit and then shows you your photos on the big screen TV so you can see how they came out that same day. I thought that was a nice touch. She also does a nice job with the print packages - they're printed on heavy mat backings and come in a gorgeous leather box. Very "gift-able." All in all I would recommend Menagerie in a heartbeat!
