I just completed Digital Photography 1 – The Weekend Intensive Class. I went from being an iPhone camera user to knowing how to navigate and use the manual settings on my DSLR (and taking some pretty darn good photos!) Jeffery, our photography instructor, is amazing, informative and a blast to spend the weekend with. I was a little worried about the big time commitment of 10-7 Saturday and Sunday but the two days flew! Generally, we would learn a setting in the studio and then head out and practice. It was a very good, hands-on mix. We were literally outside shooting within an hour of starting class! Both days we took fields trips to shoot environments. The first day, we went to skate park and river; the second day, we went to the Botanic Gardens. Both were interesting and really challenged us to use different skills. During these field trips, Jeffery spent one-on-one time with each one of us - giving us personalized advice and tips. The end of our last day, Sunday, Jeffery hosted a wine and cheese party for us while we all got to review our work and have a couple of our photos tweaked and professionally printed. Taking a photography class has been on my to-do list for years. I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner! Net, net, it was an incredible learning experience that was actually fun! I am already planning my next class at Denver School of Photography!

I recently took Digital Photography 1 weekend class, and I had the best time! I'm not completely brand new to the DSLR camera, as I've been doing this as a hobby, but I learned SO much in one class which I haven't learned in years. I'm so happy that I decided to take it because I really needed to learn the basics. I wish I did this a lot sooner! I definitely understand so much more about what my camera can do, the technical aspects of photography and different techniques. The class was perfectly structured - there was just enough amount of instruction, hands on time with the camera and socializing. The teacher, Jeffrey, was very patient and had a great teaching style that fit the students with different photography backgrounds. It was a great learning experience! I cannot wait to take more classes or workshops at this school!

I took the Digital Photography 1 weekend intensive and it was the best photography experience I have ever had, and maybe even best weekend. I walked in knowing absolutely nothing beyond shooting in automatic and walked out feeling extremely comfortable shooting in manual with beautiful prints in hand. The weekend didn't even feel like a class, but more like a fun weekend with friends, thanks. Jeff is a great teacher who adapts his teaching to each members interests and needs. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to get a great jumpstart into digital photography.

I took the Digital 1 class and it was wonderful. I learned so much. Jeff is a great, kind and patient teacher. He helped me choose the right camera for my needs. Worth it! Can't say enough great things about the class.

Great, great instructor who is patient and who knows how to teach. The studio is centrally located and easy to find and I have learned TONS more than I expected. I actually know how to use the camera and this after only the first two classes! Money and time well spent!

Jeff is one of the reasons why I take photography as seriously as I do these days. I went from have 0 knowledge on how to effectively operate a camera, to snapping awesome photos on the reg in just a few days. Take their classes. Do it.

I took the Digital 1 Weekend Class and it was great! Very informative and interactive. Jeffrey structures this class in a great way - he'll talk through a concept and then you are working with your camera to practice. I came into the class knowing very little about photography and my camera and left with so much information and desire to practice. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to get more out of their camera experience!

Excellent class! Jeffrey breaks digital photography into easy to digest nuggets of wisdom. I got more out of this class than I ever expected. Perfect for complete novices or some experience. I will never use an automatic setting again... Thanks!!!

Fantastic. I thought I had a decent understanding of my DSLR's controls. Jeffery showed me otherwise. I would definitely recommend this school for beginners, amateurs, and experts alike.

Exceeded my expectations by far, even after reading all the raving reviews. I went from feeling completely clueless to very knowledgeable and in control in just a couple days. I'm proud of my photography now and it's such an amazing feeling! Jeffrey is wonderful! He is such an awesome teacher, it was so easy to follow along with him. When I did get confused, he would clear it up right away. I couldn't recommend more, can't wait to take another class or workshop at Denver School of photography!

I love how easy it is to find. Great location, not just that my teacher he is super patience. English is my second language. His technique of teaching the class. I was like OK awesomeeee. So many usefull informations with just short easy explanation to understand. In two days from knowing nothing about the camera except auto button and click. I now love my camera and would never let it laying around doing nothing. So so so glad that I take this class and run into an amazing professor and classmates. Thank you so much, I have so much fun and most of all I feel not leftttt outtt..

Great class for learning to use your DSLR.

Prior to taking their Digital I class, I had taken five other photography classes. I learned more in the Digital I class than I did in all the other classes combined.

I had a great experience taking the Intensive Beginner Photography class with Jeff Rupp. The class was amazing and for the first time I actually feel like I have some idea what I’m doing with my DSLR. I can’t wait to take the next class in photography and I can’t wait to learn photoshop. It’s a great feeling to have accomplished this. Thanks, Denver School of Photography.

Absolutely wonderful class. Jeffrey is a great teacher. I would HIGHLY recommend this school. If you are like me and have never taken your camera out of automatic mode, the beginner intensive class is the one for you. I learned so much within only a weekend!!!! Money very well spent.

I had never had any formal training in photography and that's the career path I've chosen to pursue, so I wanted to make sure my first class was a success. I am inquisitive, so I wanted a class where I got a lot of 1 on 1 with the instructor and other students if I needed the extra help and this class definitely gave me that. My questions were answered. My concerns (of not getting something right away) were met. I also felt as though I was learning and growing in photography because there was instruction and time for taking notes, hands on and time to do what you were learning and homework, then time to look at, reflect and ask questions about the assignment and get help if needed. I've only completed the Digital Photography1 course, but I feel like I've already learned so much! I definitely want to come back for more classes. You are not alone in this class. The students can interact and the instructor, Jeffrey, is down to earth and wants to know that you're understanding what he's teaching, he cares.
