Bryan did a great job for our family portrait and I would recommend him, without hesitation. We made a last minute decision to do a family portrait about a week before we were all together and he managed to find a time to accomodate us and at the location we wanted. Beyond his great organization, the pictures are exactly what we wanted. We had 3 couples and a dog in an outdoor setting and they turned out just stunning! How wonderful to both officiate and celebrate at my daughter's wedding without any care as to the photographer they had hired. Bryan was at the right spots at the right time. His challenge of the night was to compensate for a setting sun shining right into the faces of the wedding party. The pictures were very fine in spite of the lighting difficulty. Bryan's pictures were personable as they brought out the personality of his subjects. I would recommend Bryan to be a wedding photographer at any wedding. What a fantastic experience! Bryan made -what we expected to be a stressfull, awkward, timely photo session- a fun, creative and relaxed shoot in no time at all! His ideas for locations and time of day couldn't have been more perfect. The wind was quite a challenge, not to mention our 9 wk old Viszla puppy that was in a world his own, or the large rat that he caught and attempted to have join our pics! We couldn’t be happier with Pixil Studio and Bryan! The entire process was smooth and seamless, from our initial consultation to the delivery of our photos. We found him using Thumbtack. We met with him about 9 months before our wedding and he was very clear and helpful in explaining the process, pricing, logistics etc. As we are a same sex couple, it was important for us to have someone that didn’t have any reservations about photographing a same sex wedding. He doesn’t at all! In fact, he had done same sex weddings previously and also worked for a local gay newspaper as a photographer. On our wedding day, he showed up right on time and ready to go. He helped wrangle all the family members for the posed photos and took excellent action photos before and during the ceremony. We hadn’t thought about posed photos of just the 2 of us, and he was able to recommend a couple of gorgeous settings. He captured all the moments of the reception perfectly also. I rarely even knew he was around - and all the guests said he was very friendly and personable. I am not sure if this is his norm, but we received our digital photos less than 2 weeks after our wedding! Very prompt, the photos are gorgeous and the price is extremely reasonable and affordable.
