This studio is a total gem. I rented Elan Photography Studio to host a photo shoot for my new company. Karen was so great and easy to work with. I was pleasantly surprised with the backdrop options as well as the central location. I will definitely utilize this studio again for future projects.

I cannot say enough great things about Karen or her photography business. She has been a part of mine and my husband's entire story from proposal to our wedding. We first met her when my now husband hired her to photograph his surprise proposal and then we were so impressed by her work we hired her to shoot our engagement pictures and our wedding. She has quite the impressive resume and is very talented. She also knows how to command a room and get everyone to listen when needed, which I learned is VITAL in the craziness that is a wedding. She is also very easy to get along with and someone you'll want to be your best friend. She is a voice of reason in moments of panic and will be your biggest encourager that all will be great. She knows how to capture your true self and her pictures immediately transcend you back to the time in which they were taken. I cannot recommend this company enough. I wish I could rate both Karen and Elan Photographie Studios a10/5. Seriously. We hired Karen to photograph our engagement and wedding photos and could not be more ecstatic with both of them. I was very nervous about our engagement photos as we had just moved to Colorado Springs and I wasn’t very familiar with any “good” places for a shoot. Karen reccommended our apartment and a very cool modern/urban shoot at a local coffee shop. I could not have asked or dreamed of better photos. They were fantastic, and she made both my fiancé and I feel so incredibly comfortable. She even got some wonderful photos of us with our beloved German Shepherd! Next... the wedding. Karen, again, hit it out of the park. Karen’s extremely positive, but commanding personality was exactly what we needed with a bridal party of 20 (yikes!). She seriously is incredible at commanding a room. I never felt stressed, rushed, or worried that she wasn’t getting the shots I wanted. Last minute, I was somewhat joking with Karen that I was bummed we didn’t get a videographer and she surprised me with the sweetest short video of our first look. Totally unexpected and above and beyond. It’s only a minute long video, but it meant the world to that she thought to have that moment captured on video. Not only is Karen professional, positive, and personable, she is a dream to work with, and her photos are seriously artwork. She is beyond talented. Needless to say I will be hiring Karen and Elan Photographie Studios for every photographer need I have in the future. Very grateful to have found such a wonderful studio and photographer!

This review is long overdue!!! Karen was nothing short of amazing for my fiance and I's engagement photos! We were visiting Colorado Springs for a family vacation from Houston, Texas. We thought why not have our engagement photos somewhere scenic while we were vacationing?! Karen kept everything STRESS FREE and FUN - even given my initial frantic email when our other photographer (a totally separate photographer from Elan Photographie Studio) cancelled less than a week out from our engagement shoot - to making our first photo shoot nerves become calm and natural during our two hours with Karen. It also rained all day up until about 15 minutes before our shoot and the photos still turned out amazing. Karen is very professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. We couldn't be happier with the final product! We have more than enough photos to reminisce on forever! If you're looking for documentary, natural, candid style photos - look no further! P.S. Her and I having the same name must have been a sign from the beginning!

I don't know where to start. Karen is warm, professional, and can do anything you need. I have used her for several projects now. She has taken head shots for me in her studio (they turned out amazing, and I had so many options I didn't know which to use), She has done a couples shoot with my husband and I in our loft, and she has done a shoot with me with some models (I am a painter & not the best photog), then she took photos for my Airbnb to make it really stand out. All of these shoots were amazing, and all such different needs, but she can do it all, and do it well. Thanks Karen!!
