Justin did our photos in September of 2013. He also did our engagement photos and we decided to do video with them too. The engagement photos were great and the wedding photos and video were good. The team was professional and punctual. They were more expensive than other places we looked but we definitely found their styles to be unique and wonderful so we went with them. Nearly 2 years later, I'm not sure if I can appreciate the premium we paid. There are a few photos that we enjoyed but when we went in to design our photo album our designer starting noticing some photos that were not shot, kinda made us frustrated. My wife didn't like the album design process as she seemed to have to continue to repeat herself about touch ups that she had already asked to have fixed. I'm sure there are many people that had wonderful service from them, as can be seen by there many great reviews, but just being honest about how we feel. We are about to make the final payment for our album, hopefully it turns out great. Thanks Justin and the L&J team.

It's been 2.5 years since our wedding, but I still can't say enough positive things about Lin & Jirsa! We recently relocated back to SoCal from NYC, and went to their studio to complete our wedding album. We worked with Maria on our album both while we were in NYC as well as when we were back in SoCal. Maria is outstanding- she is so patient and she truly wanted us to be happy with our albums (she sat down with us to go through each album page by page!). When we chose Lin & Jirsa for our SoCal wedding, we based our decision almost solely on their portfolio online (since we lived in NYC at the time). We did not have time for an engagement shoot, so we did not know what to expect with working with them. They were super professional and extremely nice. Pye set up a Skype meet up so we could get to now each other a little better. What really impressed me is that Pye really paid attention to my Pinterest board with some examples of photography I liked. I figured it would be used for inspiration, but he actually remembered it enough to point out we could do some of them on our wedding day. We literally got the exact shots we wanted, which I did not expect at all. They really know what they are doing and we got some simply amazing shots. They are so quick and knowledgeable, it really took so much anxiety off of us to enjoy our big day (pictures are super important to me and it was literally the only thing I cared about getting messed up, other than the getting married part of course!). I highly recommend Lin & Jirsa and we are so happy with our pictures!!

Lin and Jirsa is incredibly professional and take really breathtaking photos. We hired Justin's team of photographers as well as Tim's team of videographers for our Wedding and Engagement photos. Both the photos and videos turned out amazing!! Justin was so easy to work with and can communicate fluently in English, Chinese, and Taiwanese. He has an artistic eye for the perfect setting and the perfect scenery. We could not have worked with a better photographer.

It has been way to long since my wife and chose Lin and Jirsa Photography to shoot our engagement photo's and wedding. The photographers were one of the few jobs that my wife had tasked me with researching, and it did not take me long to come across the ultimate professionals in Lin and Jirsa. Justin Lin was our main point of contact from when I originally reached out to inquire about pricing and wedding packages. I was so impressed with the quality in their photo's that my wife started to get annoyed because these were the only photographers that I talked about. She immediately thought that I had only researched 1 photographer and was just talking up their work, to save me time in searching for more. When we finally met with Justin in person, we had a very informative meeting discussing the different packages. Justin was a true professional but was also very easy to get along with making both my wife and I extremely comfortable. It was long after our meet and greet that we contacted Justin to lock his team in for our big day. A few short months after this, we met again to do our engagement shoot which we had so much fun doing. Despite driving to multiple locations in Los Angeles, Justin's artistic eye and knowledge of photography produced some of the best photo's we have. It was now time for our big day and Justin and his team were prompt and on time. He took the most amazing photo's of my wife and her bridesmaid's while they were preparing for the ceremony, while his assistant was shooting my groomsman and I goofing around for 2 hours. There is not a single photo from our wedding day that came out subpar, everything from their HiRes shots to candid photo's were absolutely perfect. I highly recommend looking into using Lin and Jirsa Photography for any occasion that needs to be photographed. Their whole staff is extremely professional and they do everything within their powers to make you comfortable during the engagement shoot and big day. We recommend them to all of our friends that are now planning their weddings.

Working with them was easy and they were accommodating to all our needs during a 5 day Indian wedding with multiple venues and events even when there were two events at the same time in two different locations. Wow. Lin and Jirsa exceeded my expectations for my daughter's wedding last weekend. Jackie, the manager, was in constant contact with me up to the big day, listened to all of my concerns, and did not let me down. Nicole, Emily, and Meghan, our crew the day-of, were organized, professional, and kept everyone, including me and my daughter, on schedule. It looked like a professional Vanity Fair shoot by the time they were done with us. We had them for 12 hours and it was worth every moment. We will relive the day through their photos for years to come. I also highly recommend adding the slow motion booth and the photo booth. It just elevated the party to another level. My husband and I met with many photographers prior to booking with Lin n Jirsa. As soon as we met with Chris, we knew right away, we wanted to work with them. They made us feel comfortable, and we knew capturing all of our days was very important to them. we hired them for our engagement shoot, our Sangeet party, as well as the Hindu and Catholic Ceremony, for a total of 4 days. They worked so well with us, we are both very camera shy, and they made us feel comfortable and directed us without making it seem artificial, to get the best photos. Our engagement shoot pictures on the beach are so gorgeous. I printed out may of their pictures of just even flowers and made canvases of them because they are so beautiful. All of our friends and family loved them as well. Maria, who does the albums, is the easiest and most helpful person to work with and made us the most beautiful albums. She didn't mind how many times we asked to put in an extra photo or change around layouts, and was very patient. Some of my friends have since booked them for their events and have been very happy. I would book them for any event I have in the future. So glad I found them!

I had a wonderful experience dealing with the professionals at Lin & Jirsa. We had several functions starting a week before my daughter's wedding and it was a joy to deal with everyone. Joseph was a true professional and all the other photographers were very pleasant, helpful and willing to go that extra mile especially dealing with laaaarge Indian families. The post production contacts like Maria and Nicole were also very helpful in guiding us to get the proper memories together and designing of albums. I am already planning to use them for my son's wedding in a couple years.

One of the first things my fiancé and I looked at booking for our wedding was our photographer. We had seen some of Lin and Jirsa’s work via Facebook from other friends using them and were really impressed. We looked at other photographers online but none of the others seem to consistently be able to capture as many amazing moments in their work, the Lin and Jirsa blog is full of them on every page. We are on a pretty tight budget but we decided photography is something we didn’t want to just settle on or try to bargain on, at the end of the day its what we will have to remember our special day and we wanted the best to be capturing all those moments and memories. Our wedding is next August but we just had our engagement session at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano as well as some fields nearby. Our photographer Chris is amazing and made us feel very comfortable from the moment we met at the office when we first booked and that continued and helped in making us comfortable during our engagement session. Chris along with Tony his assistant were amazing, they had studied up on the some shots and styles we had given them on our “mood board” and came up with tons of amazing and creative shots. Chris went as far as taking his shoes off to walk into a stream to get the perfect shot in the fields even though we said he shouldn’t do it he insisted, now that’s going above and beyond!! Our engagement session pictures are simply stunning and we have gotten so many comments on how they bring out our personality and really show our love which is exactly what they are meant to do, we couldn’t be happier with our decision and can’t wait till our wedding day!

Honestly since we met Joe since we fell in love with his demeanor and attitude, he told us we can get a few GREAT photos vs a lot of "tension filled, stressed photos," and I knew he would work with our crazy family and all of the different personalities. He made our engagement shoot easy and fun despite the stress of the LA traffic and at the end of that day we knew we would have Lin & Jirsa come out to little first state Delaware for our wedding! My dad was very hesitant about a photographer coming from California, stated what if they don't show? Which I then had a bad dream about but I knew that would never happen! Photographers were the first vendor we looked for after we had the venue booked. We were part of the bridal party for our friend's wedding who chose Lin and Jirsa for their photography. We were so impressed with the quality of the photos from their wedding. We had another photographer did our engagements photos but we didn't like them as much. So we decided to book Lin and Jirsa for our wedding and redo our engagement photos with them as well. Although the price initially was expensive, our photos came out fantastic and worth every penny! 100% recommendation because of the details and journalistic style from the photos. We received endless compliments. In a more individual review, Justin was our lead photographer. He also did our engagement photos. He was very creative with the poses and backgrounds. He was able to accommodate our requests while maintaining the style and quality of his techniques. For our wedding, we fell in love with every photo he took but we were especially amazed by the night time photos. Nothing beats Disneyland fireworks captured in the background! Overall, we were extremely happy with our decision. It costed more than what we had initially budget for photography but we glad we made this possible. They turned out to be our best vendor!!!

Lin and Jirsa...what an amazing team of people. My experience with the entire LJP team has been flawless from before, during and long after my wedding! LJP shot my engagement, 3 pre-wedding events and wedding day at the Newport Beach Marriott in July 2014. My package included my sign-in book, 2 parent albums and 2 albums for us as well as a canvas. My master photographer was Chris Lin. He did a great job in making us comfortable...he also did our engagement shoot so we had the chance to meet him before our wedding day. Jackie, the studio manager is super responsive and supportive. Maria and Lindsey, our album designers, also fit the bill of the level of service you can expect from the entire LJP team. I feel like LJP aims to forge a life-long relationship with its clientele...its not just about the wedding. Its about all the memories after you've started this new chapter in life (baby announcements, pregnancy shoots etc etc). When my fiance and I were budgeting our wedding, we listed photographer as one of our top priorities. While we were still trying to be conservative with our spending, Lin & Jirsa was worth every penny! The minute we discovered L&J we fell in love with style of photographs they can capture. Not only are they absolutely excellent at what they do, but they also were really genuine people and made us feel very comfortable. We were lucky enough to have Joseph as our master photographer who went above and beyond our expectations to get the best photos possible (he was even up to his knees in ocean water in near darkness!). It was truly a pleasure to have had the L&J team work with us on our big day and we could not be any happier with the results. Our son's Bar Mitzvah Oliver, was on February-2013. I rarely take the time to write a review, but I believe, it is my duty to advice other people so they do not fall for a bad photography service. We were extremely disappointed with Lin and Jirsa service. First, Matt Seville, the photographer assigned, showed up almost 40 minutes late to the party. This left him no time to do a proper set up and look for the best place to do the family pictures. When he arrived the guests were already arriving which left us very little time to do the family pictures since we have to greet the guests. In addition, he took forever to get every picture both at the temple and at the party. We even have to tell him to hurry to get the pictures, or to take spontaneous pictures.... What is even worst is that we do not have a single family picture that all of us look good. In this kind of events, It is quite common that he goes through the tables and take pictures of the people sitting down so we can remember who was at the party. We have picture of the food, but not of the people!! We did not see a single photo of the people sitting at the tables, so basically, we have no picture of over 40% of the people that came to the party. We never saw such an inexperienced photographer. Which is also bad is that after they sent the CD with the photos no one from the office dare to call to see if everything was ok. Pretty lame service overall. I guess we were deceived by their nice pictures at their website. I would never recommend them for ANY important event due to such inexperience photographer. If you care about having nice photographic memories, do not call them. One star is already too much, I should be able to give Zero stars.

It was a pleasure to work with everyone we came into contact with at Lin and Jirsa, whether it was Justin and his team, the associates who shot our sangeet, and everyone we communicated with via email. Shout out to Emi! :) Everyone was so friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Justin not only made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, but also went above and beyond to make certain shots perfect. He is also very personable and fun, so much so that we feel like we gained a new friend! We worked with Lin & Jirsa Associates for both our engagement and wedding photos. The team that worked with us were great and were open to photo shoots that we wanted to take for both the engagement session and at the wedding. Everyone was very professional and they were very timely in all correspondence. Our photos came out great! For the wedding day, they scoped out a great location for our first look. They also found other parts of the property that made for fantastic backgrounds. One thing I was disappointed about was that we didn't get the dramatic background/sky engagement photos at the beach that they are well known for, which is one of the main reasons that I hired them for those photos. I guess with the weather/sky that evening, there wasn't much they could. Just a heads up that scheduling of your session is key but ultimately you're at the mercy of the weather/sunset that day. We didn't get copies of all of the engagement photos that we took that day until I asked about specific shots that we took that I had requested but didn't see in the digital copies. They had me come in and review all of the photos and select the ones that I wanted (then they edited them) so fortunately in the end, we got what we wanted from the shoot. There are lots of wedding photographers out there to choose from but the Lin and Jirsa team definitely pride themselves on high quality work and making sure that the customer is happy. Anytime we had questions or concerns, they were there to help and do what it took to resolve any issues. You'll be pleased working with L+J or LJA!

Talk about a labor of love! My husband and I got married three years ago in LA (my hometown). I hired Lin & Jirsa for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with their services. Although they have multiple photographers, everyone has a similar style that is consistent throughout their blog. Our photographer, Matt, did not disappoint! He shot some amazing photographs and was creative with the angle and lighting in some of our shots. Our engagement session included our dog who was not very cooperative, but Matt was still able to take some great photos. On the day of our wedding, Matt and the other photographers were very professional and everything went smoothly. Lin and Jirsa is amazing. We absolutely do not regret booking Lin and Jirsa for our wedding. Looking at their website and past work, their photos are technically very consistent but more importantly, the people in the photos and the photos themselves look amazing. We were set up with Justin who was very friendly and easy going. At our consultation session, it didn't even seem like we were talking to a photographer, more like a friend we were catching up with. We were just chatting and getting to know each other; very very casual. He spent a little bit near the end to show us some of his past work and how he worked with the couples to get those shots. During our engagement session, Justin and Albert led us around downtown L.A. and took photos of us. Again, it felt hardly like work, more like strolling around and taking pictures. Justin is very good when it comes to posing the couples he's working with and really makes sure we look good. I will admit, I can be very un-photogenic and stiff and working with Justin was the complete opposite of getting your high school yearbook portrait taken. We even goofed off for a little bit; during some downtime, Justin had his assistant and me work the camera and reflector on him because he wanted to “experiment”. Really, where can you find a wedding photographer that was this much fun to work with? After every photo he took, Justin showed us and made sure we were ok with it. The few times that something seemed off to us, he did not mind redoing the set. On our wedding day, Justin, Marcel (sorry if misspelled), and Liz were flawless. I don't think they missed anything and the photos look amazing and really help us relive that special day. My wife and I still laugh and smile looking through them. And sometimes we smile because we remember the extra work they did, how our photographers laid down on a table or stood near the edge of a rocky cliff, just to get the shot. Again, Lin and Jirsa was amazing to work with. They may be pricier than most of photographers you will inquire with but I wouldn't have been happy with anyone else. Weddings are already stressful and frantic enough but Lin and Jirsa went above and beyond to make sure we got nothing but beautiful photos of the smiles, tears, laughs, people, etc. on our very special day. From the booking process to the editing of our wedding album our experience with LJP was nothing less than excellent. Their attention to detail goes above so you and your hubby to be look and feel your best! Its easy to feel like the ultimate supermodel during your sessions with them! Our wedding day felt completely stress-free and because I suffer from a little anxiety with stressful situations, our photographers made sure to give me a little room while getting ready so emotions could settle; and on top of that they captured some breath taking moments then. I can't wait to hire them for our next event... first comes love, then comes marriage ... then maternity photos!

After receiving our photos from Lin and Jirsa Photography, my husband and I felt like we had the chance to relive our wedding night. The photos are breathtaking and the quality of work speaks for itself. My husband and I originally hired a different photographer to photograph our wedding. He was the preferred vendor for our wedding venue. Let this be a warning to future couples, always do your research and do not always go with the preferred vendors. This should have been obvious but we were convinced that he knew the venue in and out and the venue loved working with him. He was a great guy but photos are forever and his weren't the ones we wanted to looked back on 25 years from now. But I'm not here to talk about him. After a few exchanges and a few retakes of our engagement session, we decided to part ways with him and lose our deposit in the process. This is about 2 months before our wedding date and we were referred to Lin and Jirsa. We ended up going with Lin and Jirsa Associates due to the pricing and Nicole and her team blew us away. She was so professional and she knew her craft. The lighting in every picture is perfect. She photographed everyone I wanted her to (I had a list of many many people). She was so nice and fun to work with. We got the package that includes 4 albums. My husband and I have been working with Maria on our album design. She is a total sweetheart. The photos and video are the only things you take home from the wedding. The dj will go home, the flowers will die, the dress will be in storage, the tuxedo will be returned, the food and cake will be eaten etc. Photos and Videos are forever. If you are going to spend the money, spend it on the things that will allow you relive the happiest day of your life. And trust me, the team and Lin and Jirsa will not disappoint.

Let me start by saying that I always wanted to use Lin and Jirsa for my wedding, even before I was engaged, but I never thought that I could afford their services. My now husband said that I should email them anyways after meeting with several other photographers, who will not be named, and lo and behold, Jackie told us about their associates package. She set us up with Matt and he is AMAZING. I can't begin to express how wonderful the photos came out, and in the process we made a friend along the way too. Their work speaks for itself, but what I believe is even more telling is how Lin and Jirsa have handled unexpected hiccups along the way. We had a few hiccups regarding a canvas print and a parent album, but Jackie, Yoko and Maria went above and beyond and it ended up not being an issue at all. They were constantly communicating with me and sending me updates on progress, which was greatly appreciated. Lin and Jirsa have a team of individuals who work to deliver exactly what is promised, if not more. I am truly thankful to have found them and will continue hiring LJP for all of our significant life events. Thank you again Lin and Jirsa, Jackie, Matt and everyone else we have worked with.

We live in New York City and were married in LA, Justin and Joseph worked with us from NY via phone and email, they even accommodated our busy schedules when we were in town to help prepare for our wedding day. On our wedding day, they showed up promptly and kept us on schedule the entire day into the evening. They kept the tone and environment fun and full of life. We had our engagement and wedding photos as well as a video of the big day done completely by this group of talented individuals. Everything was prepared in a logical sense and his team expressed clearly what we had to do and how we had to do it. Two months before our wedding on June 2nd 2012, we cancelled our original photographer without knowing anyone else who might be available to shoot our wedding day. At the time, living in London, I spent 1 month calling and speaking to over 50 photographers multiple times from LA to San Diego. Reviewing their websites, quotes, and trying to connect with them. But it wasn't happening. Although I had spoken with some of the greatest photographers in the area, it wasn't until I met Chris from Lin and Jirsa that I finally felt ready and happy to stop the search for a photographer. After speaking with Chris and seeing some of his work, I knew he was the photographer for our wedding. We liked the team so much that we also cancelled our videographer and took the photo / video package by Lin and Jirsa. Now looking back, this was by far the best decision we could have made. The pictures are amazing, speechless and vogue quality. Although we haven't received the video yet, I am sure it will be stunning. Note: We had to really scramble to pull the funds together to cover the photos and video. It was significantly over our budget. To make it work, we had to cut some of the things out of the wedding, but in the end, you only remember the wedding by its pictures and that's what matters. I'd do it over and over again. The pictures are by far the most important expense of the wedding. If you go with Lin and Jirsa, you'll be in love with your pictures forever. I promise.

We are very happy that we chose L&J for our wedding photographers. When we decided, we went to their office and they told us all the available options for our wedding. We decided to go with a Matt Saville. He was going to be our photographer for our engagement and wedding ceremony. During the engagement session, Matt made us feel relaxed and we were always comfortable. He experimented with some of his shots and they turned out great! During our wedding, we had Matt and second photographer. They split up most of the time to get as many different shots and angles. Even though they took a lot of pictures, they never felt like they were in the way. Matt also got creative incorporating our wedding party. It was a lot of fun. We worked with Lindsey in creating our wedding album. She was very patient with us as we picked out the photographs we wanted. She even made some adjustments to make sure that we were happy. I'm not one to write reviews of any sort very frequently, however, I believe that for exceptional service, taking a few minutes to share my experiences is the least that I could do. My wife and I got married in Southern California in November 2013. The venue itself was picturesque but the pictures that Lin & Jersa captured took everything to a whole new level! We thought that wedding planning was difficult, but truthfully, selecting the best of the best pictures to compile our wedding album proved to be two year process! We just couldn't narrow the cuts down because we loved so many of the pictures (a #firstworldproblem if there ever was one, indeed). Their love for the art of photography demonstrates itself in their professionalism, attitude and enthusiasm. They truly made my wife and I feel like we were stars and for that, we are truly grateful. In the months and days leading up to our wedding festivities, they were easy to connect with via telephone and email, and the pictures were sent to us well in advance of the stated date. Because I'm from Toronto, we had a second reception two weeks later and contracted a different photography team for that event. One of Toronto's best by reputation, their work paled in comparison, so we have a first hand experience about how much of a difference a team can make. If there is any team better than Lin & Jersa, i'd be shocked (and probably wouldn't believe it still). A+ work through and through!

We had our wedding in 2014 so this review is long overdue. I had the opportunity to work with Lin and Jirsa’s photography team and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Jackie, the studio manager at the time, was very professional when I first got in touch with them. She provided all the information regarding the type of packages that were available and also gave us ideas on how to approach and plan the styles that we want for our engagement and wedding photography. We did not get the chance to work with the master photographers as they were not available on the day of our wedding, but the associate photographer, Daniel, was able to perform a very competent job and put our mind at ease. We met with Daniel to discuss the types of photos that we wanted and also go over the time frame and schedule for the day of the wedding. Daniel did a great job on our engagement shoot and we were able to visit a few scenic spots given the amount of time for some really wonderful photos. Lin and Jirsa’s team is more than professional during the day of the wedding. They arrived early to set up all the pre-wedding shoots and made sure we have ample time to get ready so the wedding will be on time and on schedule. The photography team was fantastic and took many memorable photos that will be treasured for years to come.

What an amazing team! Can't say enough good things. Our engagement shots were set in Venice, CA and Justin and Joseph nailed it. Bikes, graffiti walls, beach shots, the canals. They spend the entire morning with us to get the best shots. And then came our wedding day - they are so nice, so professional, and just so good. Our wedding was set on the beach in Santa Monica - we got amazing reveal shots, beautiful touches photos, sweeping shots on the cliffs of santa monica and down on the beach. They really go the extra mile to get special, one-of-a-kind shots. As an extra bonus- we were a two-gal wedding and it was just before it was legalized. Any nervousness we had about how to do this or how to make our wedding feel just like any other normal wedding was out the door once the team got started. They are the greatest. Beautiful photos, a wedding video that made all our friends and family cry and beam, and a day we'll never forget :)

We chose them because we were blown away by the vibrant colors in all of their pictures and how amazing they are at capturing special details, not to mention how they get the beautiful scenery to pop in their pictures. We worked with Matt and he was just awesome. He actually did something really creative while he was shooting the pictures of the bride getting ready. To make sure the picture of the heels was just right, he needed something to slightly elevate one of the heels. So, he saw a gold Ferrero Rocher chocolate (the gold wrapper matched our wedding rings and wedding color), “ate one for the team” haha, crumbled up the wrapper into a small ball and stuck it under the heel. I had a great experience with Lin and Jirsa Photography. Booking them was SO easy and they have so many different packages available to meet your financial needs. Even if they don't have a package that has exactly what you want, they will customize one for you. There is no question that LJP is the best in the industry. They respond very promptly to emails and if there is any issue, they resolve it right away. They truly want to make you happy. Onto the photography itself, Andrew was our lead photographer and he was amazing. He is very artistic and pays attention to detail. My husband and I are not comfortable in front of the camera and don't really like to take pictures, so Andrew was very patient with us and made it as painless as possible. He got some amazing shots, but my favorites were the candid ones. Andrew and his two assistants did an amazing job at capturing the moments. We didn't have a videographer, but with the pictures we got we didn't need it. He really told the story of our day through the pictures. Lastly, we got married on Saturday, March 19th, and received all of our images on Friday, April 1st. Less than 2 weeks after the wedding. We technically got married before the busy wedding season, but still they originally told me 4-6 weeks and we got them in less than 2 so I was very happy with that!!!! Anyway, great service, great work, and I recommend them to everyone!

We were lucky to have an all around all-star wedding team and LJP was truly one of the most professional companies we had the privilege to work with. My husband and I had a very particular style in mind that deviated from traditional wedding photography. We were worried we wouldn't be able to find a photographer who would fit our vision for fashion editorial with Grecian influences. Prior to booking we were able to sit down with our lead photographer, Pye Jirsa, and walk him through our vision. Without hesitation he listed off several creative ideas to capture the look and we could tell he truly understood us. There were so many things that made LJP top notch on our wedding day. From the team being on-site early to allow for ample set up time to their efficiency in moving through the important shots without ever making us feel rushed. We couldn't believe how stealth they were throughout the whole day; our family and friends still talk to us about how incredible and unobtrusive the team was. While I could go on for so much longer, I will end with this. I would recommend LJP to friends, family and strangers. Their personal touches leading up to, during, and post the wedding day is unrivaled. I had never seen a photographer set up a slideshow of some of the best images throughout the day/ceremony during the reception. This was so special and truly impressed the guests. They even surprised us with a framed picture from the ceremony in our hotel suite, such a magical touch. Thank you times a million to Pye and the whole LJP team for giving us such beautiful images and video to remember that day for the rest of our lives.

Choosing Lin and Jirsa Photography for our wedding and engagement photography was the best decision we have ever made, next to deciding to get married in the first place! Pictures and videos are so important to us...our friends joke that our lives are the most well-documented out of anyone they've ever seen. When it came time to start thinking about wedding planning, the first and most important thing we did was search for photographers. I remember I had seen an amazing shot on Facebook from an acquaintance's wedding, and I needed to find out who took that photo. Sure enough, it had the Lin and Jirsa logo along the bottom and the rest was history. Every photo on their website is flawless and looks like a work of art. My first concern was location; I was temporarily devastated when I thought they only worked in LA and Orange County, but thank goodness, they travel! They were eager to work at our wedding in Santa Barbara. Our initial meeting with Pye Jirsa was one of the most fun afternoons my family and I have ever had. He is so easy to get along with and feels like instant family! This is so important when meeting photographers; to feel that level of comfort and to be real and honest with what you want for your special day. We couldn't wait to spend more time with him! They went above and beyond at our engagement session on Victoria Beach in Laguna. Every idea I wanted to try was accepted and built upon in a way I could never have dreamed. Their level of innovation and thinking outside the box was exactly what we were looking for. They spent an extra 2 hours on the beach with us so that we could incorporate the beautiful stars into our pictures! We had the best time and every photo looks like it could be in a magazine. Our wedding day was perfect. Everything that we had discussed in our pre-wedding meeting was executed to perfection. Pye and his team were everywhere and added so much to the wedding prep. More than just photographers, they were our friends and we were so happy to share those special moments with them! They arrived so early in the morning to scout out perfect locations for our couples portraits. I truly knew they were amazing when it started raining and they had to think on their feet to come up with new locations to shoot given the weather. The images that they created with the rain, umbrellas, and the most beautiful backgrounds I have seen with the water dripping across the photos are out of this world. We could not have asked for a more perfect situation. It was obvious we were dealing with real professionals who wouldn't be thrown by anything! All 1400 photos we received were breathtakingly beautiful, and I don't know how we are ever going to decide which to hang on the wall! Our video is absolutely beautiful. It brings tears to our eyes within the first 4 seconds! They did a spectacular job of integrating the wedding speeches with touching moments during the ceremony and reception. It looks like a movie you would go see in a theater. The cinematography team was genuinely friendly and a delight to be around on our special day! We are so thankful for these videos to cherish and remember the best day of our lives. Everyone in the studio was very friendly as well and answered all questions so promptly and happily. Jackie is amazing! Using Lin and Jirsa was the best decision and we will definitely use them for any future events!

This review is long overdue! We got married in 2011 and used Lin and Jirsa as our photographers, and they were one of the best vendors we worked with at our wedding. We specifically had Chris and Justin (brothers) to do our photography and they were both very professional, courteous, and just downright good fellows! We did two separate locations for our engagement photo session and both times, it was a blast with Chris. He really made us feel comfortable and didn't try to rush us nor try to put time limits in our sessions. It felt like having a friend take our photos. It was the same feeling during our wedding as well. Throughout that hectic and busy day, we did not have to worry at all about the photography, and luckily these guys took some great photos, because we hardly remembered many of the things that happened. Although we didn't officially schedule a couples session during our reception due to time, they were great at looking for a perfect location on their own, then pulling us away for about half and hour to take some of the best photos from our wedding. I was so grateful for that. We had originally selected Lin and Jirsa because we were so impressed with their HDR photos, and their outstanding post processing technique really shows from our finished photos. The whole Lin and Jirsa photography team has been altogether great, from initial meeting with Chris all the way to album creation with Maria. Although we never met Maria in person, she worked on our photo album with all communications being done by email. This really helped us since we moved and it just wasn't physically convenient to meet in person. She was very kind and patient with all the changes we requested and our procrastination, and it was a pleasure working with her as well. Although, we don't ever want to plan for another wedding again (*relief*), we hope to work with Lin and Jirsa again in the future for maybe something a little less stressful! :)

We got married at St. Lorenzo Catholic Church in Walnut and our reception was held at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. The details were so important to us and Matt and his team did an EXCELLENT job with making sure everything we wanted was included. Jackie, the office manager, was great in communicating everything we needed to make it a success and they did not disappoint! The team was AWESOME! When we received our photos, we could not be happier. The shots, details, angles, edits, perspectives, and special effects in post production were so amazing! After our initial meeting with Lin and Jirsa, we cancelled all other appointment we had with other photographers. They are THAT good! We are proud to show everybody our engagement photos and they are very good at capturing all the important moments during the wedding. I especially like the system they use to make sure they are able to capture all the shots you have in your mind. They help you set up a pinterest account and have you show them a revolving theme that you like. They not only meet your expectations, but exceed them in all aspects! We never posed for any pictures, Chris spent a few minutes with us before the engagement session and it all went so smoothly! In addition to the amazing photographers, the staff is always quick to answer any questions we had. They were always answered promptly. He did a great job of capturing our personalities. Several of my friends mentioned that they were the best engagement photos they have ever seen! Chris also shot our wedding with a second shooter, Marcel. They both were awesome! They were quick and professional during the formals and couples session. As for the ceremony and the reception, half of the time I didn't even realize they were there! They were like ninjas, snapping away without distracting from the ceremony or the party. I have beautiful, artistic photos of my husband and I. They literally look like they are out of a magazine. But I also have incredible candids! They caught candid expressions and fleeting moments perfectly. Our parents laughing during the ceremony. A bridesmaid tearing up. Our guests having fun on the dance floor. I even have a photo of my husband and I laughing mid spin while he picked me up in his arms during our first dance. They literally were able to capture our expressions when we were spinning in circles! I doesn't get much better than Lin & Jirsa Photography! We used Lin and Jirsa for our engagement shoot and wedding photography and cinematography. Our lead photographer was Andrew. We loved our engagement shoot, and Andrew was great to work with. They paid great attention to detail, were very considerate, and they were attentive to our preferences. The wedding photographs were great as well. Although in the end we didn't end up getting all of the photos we wanted and some of the pictures included us or family members with eyes closed, in general most of the pictures were great. Unfortunately the VIP list of family members and close friends didn't seem that it was fully utilized, as a large amount of candid photos were of people who weren't as close to the bridal party. Overall however, we were very satisfied with out photos and with the photography team. They were very nice and respectful and we enjoyed working with them.

The scheduling and booking was really easy and the communication the entire way was excellent. The actual shoot was great.
