When a momma like me went into the hospital to have her babies, she knew those babies wouldn’t come home. My husband and I have had a rough go at growing our family and we could definitely stay on that emotional rollercoaster but we’ve decided to jump off. Instead of sadness and hurt, I choose blessings and love. Melissa Donner is (speechless, no words will work) amazing. On my journey I needed a lot and I didn’t realize how much and how fast it would change. I was able to call her late at night and interview her like the FBI and I asked her millions of questions and she was able to gain my trust just by her professional ability to communicate and understand what I desired. These pictures of my babies is what keeps me alive. It reminds me that they were here, with us, even if it was a handful of minutes or a couple hours. She was able to have the pictures in my hands when I was home and alone in a crowded room. She was able to find shadows to hide in the delivery room and recovery room that allowed me to have my time with my babies and husband and allowed her to capture our moment without making me feel the need to perform or pose. It was us, a family. Together for a moment, that I’ll never get back but these pictures make it some kind of ok. When you don’t have a baby to show off to family and friends the next best thing is these pictures. She was strong for me. She kept snapping because she had a job to do and she knew I needed her during that. She didn’t let me down, she didn’t miss a beat. She drove half way across the state with no notice other than a phone call that consisted mostly of tears. She knew what I was saying. She came to the services afterward just to hug me and she visits my girls and talks to them still to this day. I am fully aware that this is a “review” in order to help skeptical, possible clients choose the best photographer to capture their event or family in hopes of never forgetting it, time has a way of watering down our memories. That is why I tell you so much about my experience because I need you to understand that this famously known lady will not disappoint you. This is her heart and soul. It’s not about the money, she would do it free for everyone but that’s how the world turns and bills don’t stop. If this talented, professional, loving photographer can handle my needs then without a shadow of doubt, every inch of my soul believes she can handle your crazy bunch or wild ideas.

Got some of the best pictures of my kids and one is a drama queen and the other is stoic and shy. She made me feel comfortable and made it about the kids, which is what I wanted. In short, she rocks!!
