At the moment the business receives a score of 3.8 over 5 and that rating has been based on 8 reviews.

As you can read, it reaches an feddbacks average is really high, and it is based on a more or less high of reviews, so the valuation is reasonably faithful, although it doesn't have a large quantity of scores to give it total credibility.

As you know, we do not usually stop to place feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

I was a little nervous after reading the reviews, but I'm so glad we went! No wait at all and out photographer, Nicole, was so nice and did a wonderful job with my three little ones. I will definitely go back!

First off I have had two great photo shoots at this place but today was a day that was uncalled for .....Me and my family walk in today for our appointment . We was first greeted by attitude and rudeness , second when we was trying to tell them who we are they couldn't find us then told us that our appointment is at 245 when we was told 2 by phone ...one of the employees walks away saying something rude but we couldn't understand her . the other employee Nalyn (sorry if spelled wrong ) leans on desk an acts like she doing something with the computer she then stands up and an say i repeat We can't do your pictures cause you have an attitude .....meanwhile we have a 14 month old that's very active we are trying to calm down ....an she say we have an attitude so she want take our pictures so we can come back later when Caroline is there ( which is the one lady that has shown nothing but professional , warm , an great employee to have on your team ) IMy family an I left like what just happen but didn't cause a problem I just thank God I have change I have never had a person tell me I have an attitude when it clearly seems like they didn't wanna be there or do their jobs ......

If I could give zero stars I would. At the Trumbull CT mall location there is a mean bitter older woman named Carol/Caroline who works there. I and others had appointments, had pictures taken, then came back when notified they were ready for pickup. When we came to pick them up Carol/Caroline refused to give them to us and others in line stating- “there is no picture pickup on Sunday”. When several of us asked her to show us where it states that on any of JC Penny’s literature or website she couldn’t do it and then tried to ignore all of us asking for our pictures. She also then told another family who had just had their pictures taken that when the pictures were ready they cannot pickup on a Sunday. This mean nasty employee Carol/Caroline has been working there for awhile and lies her face off. While others left in frustration I refused to leave, made my opinion of her poor conduct known until finally another employee named Kristen gave me my pictures that I had already paid for. JC Penny needs to fire Carol/Caroline- she’s mean, cold and vindictive.

My daughter gave me a gift for Christmas of a photoshoot at JCPenney. I was shocked to see such horrible reviews on Google. So we just went for the shoot with my daughter and was greeted by my photographer, Rick. He on was on time and was very patient with us and really took his time to explain everything. We started by going over backgrounds and how different colors would work with our outfits. He was extremely knowledgable and made the whole experience very fun. The photos were excellent. :)

Only giving 2stars because I took pictures last year and everything was awesome but my last visit on 11/5/17 was horrible . I came with my husband and my 5yr old daughter , 3month old son to take family pictures . First off we only took about 7pictures only my 3month old got a pic alone which was weird because my last session we all got pics together and pics individually and our appt was "family pictures" as well!! ...........we had a hard time choosing which ones we liked because we didn't have many to choose from . I feel like the photographer rushed our visit because they were really busy:(!! It upsets me cause a friend of mine and her family went to take family pics a few days after us and they have so many different poses and lots of pics to choose from meanwhile we didn't have that option! VERY DISSAPOINTED won't be returning to this location!

Unprofessional, zero customer service!! You’re better off supporting your local photographer.

We scheduled photos for 4pm, after an hour drive here we had to wait 2.5 hours to get our photos done. We have two small children. I know it’s the weekend and holiday season but they shouldn’t book they way that they do. Horrible service

Have been doing pics of grandkids twice a year for almost 10 years and always have super service and photos. Sometimes just kids, sometimes with parents, grandparents, and dog. Always helpful, always on time, always a great range of pics. Love being able to chronicle the kids as they grow up for very reasonable prices.

I’m sad to hear that so many other people have had bad experiences at this JCPenney portrait studio because we had an excellent time. We were admittedly a few minutes late due to traffic and had to wait about 30 minutes for our photographer to become available. I work in retail/service industry so I understand being understaffed and working to stick to a schedule. I was not bothered by this. When our photographer was open, when were taken into our photo room and what happened afterwards was nothing short of magical. Nicole handled taking picture of my nephew and niece ages 7, 4 and my daughter who is 11 months. She has truly found her calling in life because she was awesome. She held all the kids attentions and when it came to taking solo pics of my infant daughter she was excellent. When we previewed the photos on the computer she edited them real time and added adorable text and filters. I was floored watching her work her magic. I knew I had a cute kid but I’ll be damned if she didn’t make her 20 times cuter in her photos. I will only work with Nicole from now on for our family photos at the Trumbull JCP studio.

We waited a few days to pen this feedback just so that we do not write anything that is influenced by our emotions. Our disappointment is well placed ! We still have not got over the insult and humiliation. Kristen and Carmen ( team JC Penny portraits ) almost ruined our festive day ! On Sept 4th , we had an appointment at JCP Potraits at 2.45 pm. We were told that that is the last appointment for the day. We had a ceremony at home, it was our religious holiday and wanted to make it memorable by coming out with family and take photos for us to remember. We had to drive from Orange CT and took Meritt Parkway. Unfortunately, there were a couple of road blocks and we realized that it might take us longer. Being proactive we called the JCP potraits and told the lady in the studio that we are stuck in traffic and we might be a few minutes delayed and that we are on our way. She told us that there is a 10 min grace time and that we should reach within that time frame. We reached the studio at 2.53 pm by our watch, but the lady on shift -Ms Kristen was with another customer and it took her a couple of minutes to get to the computer. It was 2.56 on her computer when she sat down. Kristen refused to take us in sighting the 1 minute delay and for our lives we could not understand her predicament. She sighted a couple of issues - - Kristen said that she is not allowed to go over her 40 hours and that is why she would not be able to take us in that day. - Kristen called her manager - Carmen and lied to her about the situation. She conveniently told Carmen that we came in after the grace period , were late and that she can not take us in. - Kristen also told Carmen that she has a couple more customers after us and taking us would push her back and would be unfair to the customers who had not come in ! ( now if we were the last appointment - how can she have couple more appointments ? ) We pleaded with Kristen to consider the fact that we had come in from far and had come in traditional costumes and we understand that we are running tight but we will make it up by not taking more shots .. we just wanted one shot as we were with our two children - 9 years old son and 6 years old daughter. My six year old also found Kristen to be very rude. We were extremely aghast at the her lack of logic and consideration. To add to the point - there is no mention of any grace period anywhere.. but that is a different matter A couple of points to understand here - - we were told that we are the last appointment for the day we promised that we would leave before her time is over. Then Kristen tells us and the manager- Carmen that there are 2 more appointments after us later the day . We asked if we could speak with the manager but she refused. - Kristen had clearly no intention of taking us in at all. She was extremely rude and treated us - my husband , kids and myself extremely bad. We drove back to Milford and checked in at Picture People at the mall and spent close to $ 200 and had a wonderful experience. Hope JCP potraits trains its staff appropriately and they do justice to the great brand !

In my life this was by far the worst photo experience of my life. 3 hours from arrival to checkout. In the entire process the only thing done right was the booking. Really bad

Management needs to make other arrangements for handling their appointments . There are 2 cameras total and appointments are spread in 15 minutes increments on line however they take much longer then 15 min each and walk ins are taken as well even when you have a reservation . We had an appointment at 3:30pm, arrived at 3:15pm and were told not to worry to be early as we had plenty of people in front of us . We were ready to take pictures at 3:30 this is why we made a reservation . We waited for 1.5 hours ! Our children were anxious and I watched them taking a huge group of walk in with babies in front of us with. The session was at least 35 minutes whereas ours ended up 20 min (and waiting for 1.5 hours). The person taking pictures was great but we were not happy with the whole experience . Management please spread your appointments to 1 hour increments or at least 30 min -you will have happier customers . Thanks !

I have been getting children/family pictures done at JCPenney for close to 5 years now. The photographer Connie is fantastic and is a long standing employee who has been there as long as we have been going. I have been very happy with my photos and every experience we have had there! The one time the pictures didn't turn out as I would have liked they offered to re-shoot the photos after the next scheduled photo shoot (about 15 minutes later). I love that JCPenney has been offering a groupon that makes the photo sessions super affordable too. I highly recommend!

If I could give zero stars I would! Worst customer service never a manager available. Waited over a month for a canvas that I still have yet to receive. Always backed up waiting for hours. I won’t be back ever and still no refund. Very disappointed!

I had a terrible experience at this photo studio. I had an 11:30am appointment that my family was late for and I own up to that. There is no need to have me, my husband, my elderly father and 3 sons waiting for over two hours to have our pictures taken. The women in charge of intakes (older women) said she is taking people who have appointments first because she is on schedule, however you would not be on schedule if I was not late for my appointment. Moreover, there were people who showed up 10 minutes late that were seen right away for their pictures. I was also talking to another family who was 6 minutes late and had to wait over an hour. Your employee is picking and choosing who is being seen first and who will wait. Life happens, everyone will not be on time due to circumstances beyond their control. There needs to be a better system in place. My children are 2,4 and 7 years old by the time it was time to take our pictures my kids were exhausted and we did not get good pictures because of the long wait. We did not leave the studio until after 3. This was supposed to be a great experience instead it has been the worst and I will not come back. Now this photo studio is not managed by JCP. I spoke to the store manager who gave me the contact info for the company. However JCP needs to choose wisely which companies rent there space because it reflects negatively on them.

Worst service, very disorganized. Waited for few hours to take photos, I'm not returning here.

It seems I went to a place totally different from the one described in reviews below. We were late and they were very busy, but we were still accommodated (after a wait). The photo session itself was excellent and the service friendly. Prices were unbeatable with a coupon

When we came he had to wait over 3 hours in a small lobby to get our family photos taken. Would not recommend.

I loooove all the girls at JCPenney Portraits! They have been doing pictures for my sweet some and I for over a year and they get great shots even when he's not fully cooperating!

We are sitting here for the third and last time ever. This is the third time we had to wait over an hour. Last time it was two hours. This is the most unprofessional photography studio I have ever taken my family too. They are slow and unorganized. Don't waste your time by coming here. We will never be coming back. Absolutely terrible expierence.
