I have used this pharmacy for the last few months for a pet prescription that requires compounding without any issues. The service has been courteous and the prescription ready when promised. Reorders are very easy and I have the medicine mailed directly to me for a small fee. Also, they always inquire as to how well my pet is doing on the medicine.

We have been getting medication for our cats here for years. It's the only place around where we could get these prescriptions in liquid form, sometimes with chicken flavoring, that made administering them a snap. One time I forgot to call in a prescription refill before the weekend and Jeff went above and beyond making sure we could pick it up before the delay caused any problems. His concern for our pets really comes through.

The Pet Apothecary is the best place I’ve dealt with. Our veterinarian called something in to an Apothecary located in my city, very close to me, and I didn’t like them at all. Jeff and the staff at The Pet Apothecary are very willing to go out of their way to get the medications I need for my cat and the way I want them. For instance, I like the BD syringes better than the Easy Touch ones and Jeff makes sure I get the BD ones for my cat's hyperthyroidism medication. They ship very fast too. I normally get the meds I ordered the very next day! You cannot go wrong with Jeff and the staff. I highly recommend them.

Iv'e never been there personally, the staff member was nice when she answered the phone however; while doing research on 3 prescribed prescriptions, I was shocked to find that it's cheaper to get my meds from the animal ER! Lakeshore veterinary hospital in Oak Creek was charging me about 91 for about a week supply of Amox tablets, Prednisolone, and Lactulose. I called Pet Apothecary and read the prescription verbatim and they told me about 111 for all 3. (Lactulose even double in cost) Amox/clavul 62.5mg 21 tab, Prednisolone oral 15mg/5ml 20ml Q., and lactulose oral 10gm/15ml 50ml Q. $111 at PA, at Lakeshore it's $91. I spent about $2500 already on emergency bills for my fur baby. (Not the PA fault) but it's a shame I cant get a better deal shopping elsewhere and the animal ER actually has better pricing. Either the animal ER is up-charging and the PA is up-charging even more or the animal ER gouges on service but not prescriptions which makes no sense cause Lakeshore even told me they charge extra on prescriptions since there's less availability and should be able to find them cheaper elsewhere? My regular vet office Oak Creek Veterinary care Howell referred me to the PA since they carried nothing in their office. Veterinary care in this area is so incredibly frustrating. Thanks anyway! Lower your pricing, or at least match neighboring clinics. The best pricing is the best customer service.

Done, done and done with this company. Third time I get a rude and moronic employee to answer the phone. First two times, owner called to give me all kind of excuses about her, not this time. She hangs up on customers, no business for this people. Can not be doing well when they call customers they have not heard for a while to see if they can resume shipping of meds. Customers are probably realizing there are other places and better prices and services. Shop around, it is not worth it the aggravation.

Sleep deprived, stressed to the max and exhausted due to staying up all night with my fur baby. I walked in and everyone was so kind. My 15 yr old 3 lb. miniature chihuahua had almost a full mouth extraction and was discombobulated and in pain. He wouldn't let me give him his pain meds as they were in pill form and he was hurting so bad. My vet at Crawford Veternary Clinic examined him again the next morning and called in some liquid medication that would be made specifically for his weight as everything else would have been too strong. The apothecary called me to get more information and said my Rx would be ready in a couple of hours. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Mr. Jeff and your staff for caring so much and doing what you do. Definitely gave me peace of mind that I could provide relief for my fur baby that has comforted me so many times in my life.

Pet Apothecary truly goes above and beyond to care for our furry patients. As a veterinarian, I never hesitate to send my clients to the wonderful pharmacists there! They do everything possible to make sure my patients get the right medication quickly and conveniently. They are completely dedicated to caring for our patients and their people! Very disappointing. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to do anything with them. We've had one medication filled. They called us 4 times AFTER we confirmed TWICE that Yes, we wanted it filled and we had paid. Left early from work and arrived there to find they hadn't started it. They said "We don't usually start it til it's paid" (it already had been paid for...) Sat and waited 20 minutes and it was finally done. Called them Friday and left a message. They never called me back. Called again yesterday, no call back. Called a THIRD time today, and they said "oh looks like we have a few VM's... Let me check on that.." Seriously? Then she came back and said we opted to have it shipped which is NOT true because they never even bothered to call me back so how could I possibly have opted to have it shipped if they can't answer the phone or call me back? So 4 days later, no meds. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to do business with them. I'd much rather fill through a vet.

I swore I would never go back to this place. But I did out of convenience and I regret it. Their communications leave much to be desired and I have waited days for a prescription that they promised would be filled becaue they never followed through. Previously I called and cancelled a prescription because it was not done when promised and I got a threatening letter to come pick it up and pay for it. Very unprofessional when they didn't deliver on their end. I think they have grown too big to give good customer service because they don't seem to know what they are doing.

The first time was smooth picking up the medication, not so much the second time. Had to repeatedly call about 3 times because the phones were all going to voicemail. Waited about 10 minutes between each call before calling again. The staff is a hit or miss, some are nicer on the phone than others. Parking sucks too. When I went to pick up the medicine the second time they said it was already paid for, but the women never confirmed anything on the phone about which credit card they were charging. Glad it was the right one. Will not be back. Very understaffed.

We LOVE the Pet Apothecary! They have been supplying us with medications for over 3 years. Today I needed a refill rushed as my Cat just had heart surgery and refuses to take anything in pill form. My vet forgot to call in the refill in the morning. I called Pet Apothecary to check status in the afternoon and they didn't have the prescription order yet. Bob from Pet Apothecary was extremely helpful. He called my vet directly. He was on hold with them for over 10 minutes but obtained the prescription. He even took the time to research getting the medication to us overnight (We live in the Madison area). We've always been impressed with the Pet Apothecary's level of quality, and service, but today I was blown away. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pet Apothecary to anyone who has a pet with special medication needs. Simply are the best.

All the staff is helpful and really friendly, and Jeff is just the best! We work with them frequently as a veterinary clinic, but I also have to order medications for my pets through them. Really rapid turnaround from order placed to medications ready, quick delivery time and they are always willing to work with you or make recommendations on what will work best for the pet. Wouldn't make a medication because it was 3:30pm on a Friday. Cat was in pain all weekend. Update 04/08/18: Sorry. Did not see request for more info from owner. Rx was called in for my elderly Mom's cat from Crawford Animal Hospital. My Mom doesn't use Google Maps. We were told it was too late to fill the Rx. I guess I expected better service, but i wouldn't want you to work late if you are unable to. You obviously may dispute the claim. However, please use as a learning opportunity, that staying open a little later when animals are in need is kind.
