Dr. Michael Petersen was called to do a home euthanization of our beloved 14 year old dog. I thought "Veterinary 101" was to get the proper weight of an animal before administering drugs, especially these drugs. NOT the case with Dr. Michael Petersen. What we had instead, was a literal botched execution of our dog that was painfully horrific to witness! This was my adult sons dog that he grew up with and dearly loved. This was the first time my son had seen an animal euthanized. Thanks to Dr. Michael Petersen, my son now believes that shooting a beloved animal is more humane than euthanization! I wouldn't let this man near my pet turtle!

Overall, I absolutely love this vet clinic and my vet Dr. Vanden Bush. I will however say when my vet was gone I went and saw Dr. Matt and I was not impressed. I have a dog that isn't good with strangers and that vet was very forceful with him and wasn't paying attention to my dog's cues. My dog was nipping at him because he was so scared and I have never had that happen before. I will never go back and see him again, so they better keep my vet Dr. Vanden Bush. I can't say enough good things about her, I love her and all the work she has helped me with my dog and her anxiety. She gets 5 stars, but had to go lower due to the other vet. Sometimes it does get pretty busy in the clinic though. It can be chaotic when there are a lot of dogs in there and some people don't understand not all dogs play well with others. Overall very pleased but because of my vet. I have heard horror stories about the other two vets currently working there unfortunately.

I have been taking my animal here for ten years, except for three years when I was in Michigan. They have seen several of my dogs and two cats. I have seen at least three different vets. All have been kind and helpful. Their work has included surgery, and pet euthanization when needed. I trust them and prefer them to other veterinarians. When I was in Michigan, I tried three different veterinary services and did not find one I like as much.

Dr.watrud was very patient with Mayberry my African grey parrot while clipping his nails. All the veterinarians have been wonderful wit all my pets.Great place to go.

Great service unless you have contact with Veterinarian. Watrud. Took my 2 cats in for a physical and teeth cleaning. He insisted they receive rabies shots which I declined. Wisconsin law requires rabies vaccinations for dogs 5 months +, but not cats & mine live indoors and are not exposed to other animals. The only time they go outside is to the vet for annual physicals and they are kept in a carrier until in a private exam room. He went so far as to tell me I may have bats in my house (I don't). I think this guy has bats in his belfry. He'd be wiser to push vaccinations for feline leukemia which is much more common. Rude as hell; I'll never go there again.

Our dog became very ill suddenly. She was 13 plus years old and it was her time. The folks at Stoughton Vet Clinic were so helpful in treating her and helping us make the right decision. When the time came they allowed us to bring her bed and had her lay down in the bed outside with sun shine and birds chirping while she crossed the rainbow bridge. Our hearts are broken as we know she passed in peace thanks to the care she was given. Thank you Stoughton Veterinary Service!

My husband and I have been taking our 4 cats (kids) to Stoughton Veterinary Service for the past 12 years. 2 of our cats have since passed on...one lived to be 20 thanks to the excellent care received here!! With that said, we have been more than pleased with the kindness and care our babies have received here.
