Im happy that this pharmacy allows me to get the medicines I need that other places don’t have. I’m happy they have options for my diet restrictions and sensitivities. However, every single time I have to work with them they screw something up. Really inept staff or communication- something is misfiring somewhere. “Missed faxes” from the doctor numerous times on time sensitive prescriptions. Putting “veterinary use only” stickers on my human prescriptions. Filling the prescription with the wrong filler causing an allergic reaction. The list goes on. This latest one the doctor sent my prescription in over a week ago. I didn’t hear from Hoey so I called. It’s a time sensitive matter. They said they never got the fax. Ok- doctor has record of faxing so I trust them. I called the doctor back, waited for them- they refaxed the prescription right away- 2pm on Friday - they were open until 6. Called Hoey back the next morning. They didn’t see it

Have been here several times now, getting medicine and supplements for both adult family members and a pet. The staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful and the seem to have a wide variety of medicines/supplements available. I highly recommend it.

My son needed a transdermal compounding for his medication. This is the one place in town that did it --with specially sourced medicines, and turn around was in 24 hours. After this experience, I'm never going back to Walgreens if I can avoid it. The service is spectacular.

The best selection of supplements in Madison by far. They carry high quality brands that are not found in stores. I thought their Compounded Rx products were on the pricey side though. Hope they get more competitive since the location is so convenient.

They have the best customer service of any pharmacy I have ever used. The pharmacist will take the time to make sire you understand what your medication is, how it should be taken, and answer questions. Sweet little shop with naturopathic remedies as well.

Went because my wonderful Doctor advised me to go! I was on Hydrocodone and other meds. Getting off is hard! You have to be totally off pain meds for 3 days or more to use the low-dose Naltrexone!! Great place to go for Fibro and pain!

I had 3 prescriptions filled no problems, after that they couldn’t process my insurance information or would lose my meds. Hope they get shut down! Not happy, stick with pet bed only.

Hoey Apothecary took almost 24hrs to tell me that my new prescription was not covered by my insurance after the manufacturer ran out of my regular medication. As a result, I was left without medication for 52 hours while a decent pharmacy waited for meds to be shipped over the weekend. This was a massive detriment to my health as the lack of medication allowed my disease to attack my body. It took me and my nurse FIVE separate phone calls over the course of those 24 hours to get any kind of response. Hoey was told in each phone call how urgent my situation was and why, but they still refused to take 90 seconds to run the medication through my insurance in a timely manner. If you truly need your medication and time is a factor, do not risk your health by trusting Hoey Apothecary. Patient safety is not a priority for them.

I have used Hoey to obtain a highly effective topical medication for joint pain that has eliminated the need for me to take Advil. More recently, Kevin Hoey took the time to talk with me and create a topical medication to address post-surgical pain. Staff is outstanding, highly recommend.
