We've got all the opinions of people who are buying the products and services of Ingles Supermarket (Pharmacy) in the area close to North Carolina.
At the moment the business receives a rating of 4.2 stars out of 5 and that rating was based on 593 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is very positive, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the assessment is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Pharmacy corresponds to the category of Supermarket.
Found everything I needed. In & out quickly.
This is a decent grocery. Deli, bakery, meat, sea food, produce, Starbucks, salad bar, olive bar, fruit bar, bulk food. They have an alright fancy cheese section. It’s certainly not the cheapest place to grocery up in Burnsville. The parking is a bit of a nightmare with people parking wherever that want to (not in parking spots).
Great verity lil hight on price s
Service at checkout and bagging horrible.
Good place. I like the one in Spruce Pine a little better though.
Ingles does a nice job. They have a great selection of food items, always fresh. The store is organized and clean. Prices are fair for the most part, except for their produce. We choose to buy our produce elsewhere, because we do not like to pay $1.00 for a single lemon. I understand produce prices will vary, depending on the season. However, Ingles produce prices are still high. Staff seems to operate in a "Zombie" like mode. They are not personable or engaging. However, with that said, we have found that a couple of the older gentlemen, baggers are friendly and are always helpful. There is also an older lady who wears her hair up in a bun, who is magnificent and always friendly. Shopping is not just about grab and go. It needs to be a positive experience. It would be a great benefit to this store to send their employees to Trader Joes in Asheville, for customer engagement and satisfaction training. Overall, Ingles does a nice job. If they want to be 5-Star Store, they will need to focus on more staff training. No Zombies permitted!
Everyone loves Ingles, but this one doesn't have a gas station so we have to drive about 20 miles away to take advantage of our Ingles gas points rewards.... Which basically makes getting them useless. Other then that it's fantastic. Great staff, clean store, and the only star bucks around for quite a ways.
Very nice store!
Nice grocery store, great for a quick grocery grab, don't recommend spending to much unless you must its not the cheapest grocery around but great for a last minute or quick item or two grab, meat is on point, BEST meat in town.
Good service and good staff
They have everything food wise I need. The prices are great and my advantage card makes them better. I also love the gas savings from using my card. Also like I can get rain checks if they are out of what I need while it is on sale. The employees are friendly. Sometimes there are not enough lines open so the wait is long.
At first I was put off by the tight parking and trying to get off of Highway 19 E to the store... But once I got into the store I found prices that were reasonable for the meats and produce...I really like the deli section because when I am in the Burnsville area I am there on vacation and want to purchase foods that tantalize the taste buds...Check out their cheese and wine sections...both very good for a grocery store... The baggers were very helpful and did use my bags which I brought in to take care of my purchases...The employees are nice and will direct you to what you need... There is a Starbucks in the store for those who can't do without Starbucks while in a small town... :)
Good selection.
I have lived in Burnsville, NC since June 15th 2006 when I took the traffic reporters job at WLOS TV. The store manager was always rude, was always on his cell phone, un-helpful, and if you mentioned the store Publix and you were an employee you were fired on the spot. Their customer service is less than be to desired, their food selection is horrible, unorganized, filthy bathrooms, I have personally witnessed the deli being un-sanitary this was before the remodel. Their quality control is horrible finding bones in my favorite chicken salad, most of the time Starbucks WIFI was down and no signal. As I retired from News 13 in 2013 I noticed that the Burnsville store was going down hill even further and the managers attitude was worse. Due to the store mangers attitude the employee's moral has been bad. Their parking lot needs cameras as it is unsafe. Attention Ingles Corporate if you are going to pay a store manager $6 figures w/ bonus then at least evaluate their performance and mental state every 6 months and evaluate the store and compete with Publix Supermarket Chain. Personally and professionally I prefer Publix as I grew up in South Florida and did Publix Commercials in traffic reports on the radio from 1988-1997 and was damn proud to do them. So in closing because of the store managers piss pore attitude I have been driving from Burnsville to Weaverville's new Publix store since they opened February 1st 2017. They are much more friendly, have a wider variety of products like their Florida stores do and their management and employees greet you at the front entrance. It is time fir Ingles to either grow up or sell to Publix. This store needs a shake down. ASAP Get your act together or sell out. -George Sheldon/Meteorologist
They are friendly and nice
Love the Ingles in Burnsville and Waynesville... Wish Sylva would get a new Ingles, I've stopped shopping there and choose to go to Food lion or Waynesville Ingles
Better than Winn Dixie in ga!!
Loved this store and staff. Paducah, Ky needs this store
Usually well stocked but prices are very high compared to all other grocery stores
They have most everything. Could be less expensive, though.
To many people
Great place to buy groceries. They carry a wide selection of just about everything. They have lots of gluten free options, fresh produce, floral department, and a Starbucks. The prices are a little higher than Wal-Mart or Aldi. The also have some great employees who are very helpful.
Generally shop here. I like to go after five to find mark down items. I like their produce section because I can get shitake mushrooms, asparagus in the area where they have been cut down, half cantaloupe, etc. I eat these for breakfast and lunch and since I am single l buy smaller portions.
Variety is good but not the prices.
The store is well organized and the workers are always helpful and friendly.
Great grocery store! All Ingles store have a lot of healthy and specialty items. Very good quality meets and produce. The Burnsville Ingles is also larger and has an expanded hot food area and indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean and is accessible.
Store could be cleaner and employees could be friendlier and more helpful.
While on vacation in Burnsville, we had the pleasure of visiting this local market almost daily. We loved it and so did our children! Everyone was so friendly and helpful not to mention they remove the items from your cart for you. Grocery store shopping at it's best!
Always clean. Friendly staff. Plenty of WNC microbrews, and wines. Sushi. Deli subs. Fresh breads. (And that's barely a sample) Remember your Ingles Advantage card to save $$.
Nice selection, yet, a bit pricy.
Always fresh food. And plenty of cash registers open.
There are a decent amount of Organic and Vegan selections. A great go to place for a party, no matter what your guests food choices are!
Easy to refill and get my prescriptions on time
Large store great layout, good selection and very clean. I only wish that the restroom was in the front instead of the very back.
Always have what I need at good prices! Clean!
Good service
Always has fresh produce, friendly cashiers and management. Prices are always great. Especially their meats. The bathrooms are always clean and they're hardly ever out of anything. They keep it stocked very well. Anytime I've ever had a complaint, (like twice, I think) they've given me amazing service.
I really like the choice of produce that you can get here
Great Ingles! Staff is very helpful, friendly and most of all they're all just wonderful. I've been to several different Ingles and most of them don't have friendly staff, especially cashiers. It's a blessing to go to a grocery store that has friendly cashiers.
Great coffee friendly people
Love Ingles!! Best Grocery Store around.
Fantastic selection of ham.
Clean, well stocked. Road construction made it a bit hard to get in and out, but overall a pretty good experience.
The manager, Jeremy is never too too busy to assist you. Great store..very clean..
It's the best grocery store in town for finding all that you need.
One of the worst Starbucks I've ever been in lately. It was good the first couple of years, but now my drink is never right and never priced the same. Avoid.
Nice store, best bathroom since the best Waldorf.
Great grocery store with helpful people. Try the fried chicken.
Good inventory.
The best grocery store ever.
Excellent, clean, fresh produce, meats, wide variety of foods, salad bar.
This Ingles is far superior to the one in Spruce Pine, in fact we drive all the way to Burnsville to shop. Clean and the remodel looks great. They now have a wider variety of food similar to the Ingles in the Asheville area. Very happy they have vegan groceries as well. Staff is always friendly even the younger high school workers are polite.
Great Groceries they have Pharmacy a Starbucks store right at the main entrance. I had a croissant with a late and some egg white dish my first day in town , lovely, it was about $10. Plus they have a wonderful produce selection , a bulk area with nuts and grains, fresh baked bread and some organic products including tempah! good fresh fish, coffee, all! Dark Chocolate was a bit limited but in my experience for a mountain town this was a hit! One can not expect too low prices however they have stuff on sale if one gets their card.
There's a reason this is the only grocery store in small-town Burnsville: it's too hard to compete with! It offers everything, and it's management is phenomenal. The only downside used to be the parking lot, which is a bit small and hard to exit... But even that was remedied with the new stoplight.
I get on my prescriptions at the pharmacy at Angels they're very helpful
Good discounts & plenty of open lines.
Too bad this is the only real grocery store in town. This is the WORST grocery store chain. WAY overpriced, and pay their employees bare minimum wages. Produce is old and damaged. Premade wraps are always soggy. The organization of the store has no common sense to it. Baggers have NO IDEA how to bag, putting heavy items on top of things that can be crushed or bruised, and use one bag per item, even for things with a handle. Cashiers and baggers are constantly gossiping with each other and have zero customer service skills whatsoever. I only shop here when I absolutely have to. Otherwise I go to Weaverville.
It's kinda pricey but still a good grocery store.
Love the variety of in store goods made
I do all my shopping there. All the people that work there I kind and courteous. Great place to shop.
Huge store, they have everything..
Great employees and helpful management
This is a great place to shop and everyone is very friendly! It is almost always clean and the staff work really hard to keep it that way!Everything is usually mostly in stock. They also have a great StarBucks and other great food! I would highly recommend this!
I'm from Houston and haven't been to an Ingles before. I LOVED it. The choices and prices were excellent and the lady at the register really cared about the customer. I wish Houston had these grocery stores!
Great place to get hit wheels
A little pricey, but nice.
Awesome, staff was friendly . Well stocked great produce section.
Great cold bar! We were camped about 10 miles away so it was conviant for food and ice
Its cool and you can fine what you need here
We love angles at which we had some in Florida!
Can find most things.
The prices in Ingles are high, but this store is always clean and the employees are usually helpful
My Fav. Place in and out with the kiddo gets her free cookie and Mommy gets all I need from Windex to car oil, lunch meat, fresh fish, Mac and cheese. Etc.
The employees are very friendly
Nearly great. Nearly a five star experience every time you visit. The one glaring issue is the inability to bag items properly. If you don't keep an eye on things, your bread will end with and/or under the heaviest item on your list. Other than that, we love the place.
Extraordinarily friendly and helpful staff; excellent selections for being out in the middle of the mountains.
Would work there again
So glad we were able to find organic products and allergy sensitive items (celiac). Great experience.
Very nice, clean and helpful to their customers. They even have people to help you get to your car and get loaded.
Very clean and has several vegan options in the convenience meal section.
Would have given the place a 5 star rating but it could definitely use some cleaning
Like most places in burnsville, the service is terrible.. only go there because produce is better than sav mor.... which btw is still ingels.......edit 10/11/19...... service is still horrid something should be done
Prices are a little high but that's just because North Carolina tax food. Best sushi ever, chicken awesome and loyal hard workers some who have been there for over 10 yrs.
GREAT. Meat dept. Is exceptional
Grocery items neatly arranged on shelves in multiple aisles!
Always have fresh items at Fair prices.
Has great produce and fresh meats good location
Good store has everything for the area you are in.
Great place.
Great store good place to work
So much gluten free, vegetarian and vegan available!
Very nice store, good choice of foods, friendly staff, and a Starbucks. What more could you want?
Best supermarket I have ever been to.
So glad for new management
This is where i buy my grocerys.I like it better than any where.Lots of selections of a variety of foods and pharmacy, Bakery ,Dealy, Lots of produce and personal ecentials.
Ingles is a surprisingly good market for a rural NC chain. All their fresh vegetables are a bit worse for the wear, except in-season varieties in the growing season, many of which come from local farms. But several local farmer's markets do it better. They have all the standard brands, including a fair selection of organic and international foods. Their sandwich bar has top-quality Boars Head meats, but their hot bar all looks like it was warmed up in a central kitchen and trucked in every few days. It's mostly on a par with Giant Foods and Harris Teeter, not the low ball look of Publix and Food Lion. Wide selection of beer and wine for a dry county. The staff are great, and they even have full-time baggers. Looks like they only hire local high school students, who are bright, smiley, polite, and helpful, and good examples of the wonderful Appalachian culture.
Best super marketing the world a cc z
A nice clean store
Staff wasn't very friendly but they have great prices and fresh meats and produce
Great salad bar & hot food bar
Prices vary but always a great selection and very helpful staff
Had everything we needed. I wish we had these up north!
This place rocks
Everything you need and very nice people
Ingles employees are friendly and helpful..
High prices form having no competition
Very nice employees, smiling faces.nice little supermark for a smell town .this is where i do most of all my shopping
I give no stars to Ingle's. I try to never go here. I advise you to shop else where. The teenagers constantly flirt with each other , while ignoring the customers. The self check out lanes are mostly closed. The person over the checkout lines is never there and always goofing off. Restrooms are filthy. Employees hardly ever bring shopping carts from parking lot. Management is a joke for letting all these things go on.
Decent grocery store on every corner. Some things are a little pricey so you have to shop around. But their selection of meats is actually the best in town. They're also willing to cut anything for you if you ask at the meat counter. I visit here daily
On this occasion, I was able to find exactly what I needed and get in and out.
Convenient
Decent Ingles
They have changed, cashiers friendly, deli clean and accommodating
Love the Starbucks option st any Ingles Supermarket. Love all the organic options also. Wish Marion, NC had a Starbucks !
Always great prices with everything you are looking for
Great sale prices on brand names
2 of The deli employees are extremely rude!! And the fried chicken we purchased was OLD, DRY, MISSING SKIN AND ONE WHOLE PIECE SHORT! I asked how long on more chicken and was told...."35 min and this chickens only been out for 15". 15 minutes is probably the hold time maximum and should have already been on the way to be replaced. Not pleased at all. Then, from the cold deli (same employee) I ordered banana pudding and got pieces from the salad next to it spooned into my pudding. They had been pieces that had fallen into the pudding pan....but easily could've been spooned around or removed! A PREVIOUS VISIT: I ordered 2 pizzas and was told it'd be about 20 minutes. No prob, I had shopping to do anyway. I came back after about 30 minutes and was told by a very RUDE man, that the pizza was just put it! I left without the pizza. Everytime I go in now, the old man stares me and my daughter down with a hateful glare. This is a small town. Ingles had NO competition, therefore I believe they are slack on their standards in some ways. I don't appreciate getting the bottom of the barrel. Y'all need to step it up, Lord knows we pay enough when we shop there to deserve better! I am not pleased. All the cashier's and other employees are quite nice and helpful.
Went to the Starbucks in store. Great experience, the seating area is very nice too. Well kept.
Always need more cashiers when I go here. Also, when did it become acceptable to drink and use a cell phone as an employee working a register?
Great store , being from Florida I'm used to Publix , Ingles is very close to Publix in my opinion.
Every time I go into either Ingles, they have the uscan with a sign to take money to cashier, whom most the time isn't at the register! I go thru uscan because it's supposed to be quicker, self service, yet always have to see cashier anyway. I wish there was another grocery store in my area. The prices have gotten ridiculous because there isn't anywhere else to shop. Ingles use to be an affordable store, not anymore! Really hate to go there, the kids that work there are not friendly, most of them.
Beat grocery store in town.
Great prices, very clean, nice variety in all departments. Staff is very nice and willing to help you if needed.
Good old ingles lol
Ingles is all around good. Their beef is good quality. The staff is generally not as well trained as they are at the nearby competitor, Publix.
Clean, short lines, great variety. Overall great grocery store
Ingles has a great variety. They also have a deli and salad bar. Prices are comparable.
Best place in Bville.
Just a regular store
You cant ask for a better grocery store. This place has it all. From fresh produce to amazing deli and bakery items, to a huge meat selection and fresh seafood. This is a place I always stop at when getting my weekly groceries while in the mountains.
Great place to shop plus they have a Redbox!
I enjoy the variety one stop shop love it
Great bakery they do wonderful special event cakes u can choose any theme & the design is perfect
Only place to shop for groceries and great selections
Great store. Friendly!
Nice grocery. Well laid out. Refrigerated foods circled the outside walls. Clean, produce was fresh, meat products looked good. Good variety of products.
Love Ingalls. They have the BEST hamburger.
No competition. Unclean area where carts are waiting. Insufficient staff for Deli area. Bags of groceries are too heavy. I will never understand why they freely use plastic bags but try to load same amount in one or two bags. Now that Publix is in NC perhaps Ingles will have some competition. Now THEY know. It's all about customers and their satisfaction.
Very mean people the registers and bery unfriendly managers
I go there two or three times a week what up friendly place
Pretty expensive and very little sales. One gal (Casey) and one of the managers, Jeremiah who work the service counter always get a prune face if you return an item (for whatever reason). They act as if you're taking $$ out of their personal pocket! The young people that cashier are very efficient and the baggers are always willing to help you with a
Great specials
Nice...clean...good deal on meat. Everything else was reallyy expensive.Never thought i would spend. $5 on 16oz. Of cereal.
Ingles Supermarkets offer fantastic selection of ... almost everything. We have done Christmas and New Year's Eve shopping there and got everything we needed. There is an amazing Salad Bar, Chinese Food court and Starbucks as well, all under one roof. Cheese selection is unbelievable, the same with alcohol, and everything else. We just LOVE shopping there everytime we visit this amazing area.
Great place to shop
Expensive, but is better than publix.
Good prices great staff Men's bathroom not so good
This is a really good store, stock kept updated, personnel always friendly and helpful. Compared to other supermarkets in the area, though, they really need upscaling, and updating. Not a fault of the personnel, or store managers, corporate needs to step up and update this store. Prices are good.
Discounts, gas points, and coupons galore. Not to mention the banking services and the friendly customer service. Produce is top notch too!
Clean, friendly and organized
The Burnsville location is higher priced than any of our other local locations
Ingles food chain is hard to beat their quality. Some are better than others, the best one I’ve been to is the one located in Burnsville NC
This a great grocery store. I wish there was one close to my home. Fantastic salad bar..So upscale.
Not very good produce. Milk is near expectation date. Their gas is higher in Madison County than other counties.
Great selection!
Great selection and always stocked.
I absolutely LOVE their donuts so much!! And their an incredible grocery store too! Please put one in Raleigh NC!!!!!
Good food
