Frankly, I had a hard time with my insurance. But the team, particularly kenny, stuck with me, calling and emailing multiple times a day to make sure I got essential diabetes supplies. He made sure I was taken care of even when my insurance didn’t take of me at all. Truly so grateful to him, for his compassion, professionalism, and expertise. We’re lucky he’s there.

NuCare is a kind of pharmacy that you don't believe could still exist in an era of corporate chain pharmacies. It is a place where the staff really know and care about their customers and the community. It is a hub of the neighborhood, and it caters to the local diversity which includes many seniors. I try to go there for as much shopping as I can, because they are the kind of store that I would love to see continue to thrive in Chelsea for many, many years. I love them!

I cannot thank the kind, generous staff at NuCare Pharmacy & Surgical enough. I had had a foot surgery and the people at NuCare Pharmacy took so much time to help me get adjusted to a wheelchair, show me how to use it, make sure my foot was elevated properly, even gave me extra straps etc. to make sure it was secure. I was so touched by the attention and care they gave me. They really went above and beyond, and I can't thank them enough. They are a gift to the community!!!!

My daughter had a wrist injury and needed a splint to immobilize her thumb and wrist. In 2 days I went to 3 neighborhood pharmacies that did not sell it. I was told to try a surgical supply place. I searched online and found three places in my area. I called and the first two places did not carry the item. The third place was NuCare Pharmacy & Surgical (25th Street and 9th Avenue). I spoke to Robert who was very helpful. He said they have several selections and close at 8 p.m. -- he told me to bring in the prescription and he would submit it to the insurance company for prior approval (Which would take 5 - 7 day). I have to pay for it today, then when the approval came in they would call me and I could come in and be reimbursed. I got there in and Robert showed me 3 types of wrist supports and my daughter tried them on to ensure a proper fit. I paid $32 for a Compression-Formed Composite Wrist Splint with Abducted Thumb (Size Small for Right Hand) and was given a receipt. Robert filled out the prior approval paperwork, and had me sign it, and fax it. He got my phone # so he could call me when they approved it and I could return for my cash refund. It was approved in 4 days. Recently, friend of needed crutches because he was having foot surgery the next day and his pharmacy would not accept a prescription and would charge him $90 for a pair of crutches. I called Robert at NuCare and explained the situation and asked their price. He said the charge $25 for the pair. He told me to have my friend go down there and buy the crutches -- and he would be reimbursed once they received the prior approval. My friend got there and Robert processed the prior approval paperwork. My friend was very happy that he saved $65 and that he would be reimbursed the $25 -- he told me that Robert was very nice and helpful. Thank you Robert for your courtesy and professionalism. Thank you NuCare Pharmacy for your discounted prices.

NuCare is absolutely wonderful and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it! I originally went there solely because of its proximity to my home, but I keep going there because of the people. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home. This pharmacy feels gives you a small-town environment right in the heart of Chelsea.

The Pharmacy area is the worst and full of incompetent robots. The guy pharmacist is the worst and rude. The girl pharmacist is very helpful the only good thing one can say about that place. They have posts online and in store about power chairs but have none. False advertising at its best.
