The Model Pharmacy has been an outstanding place to grab lunch for decades. My wife and I were near there for an appointment and decided to go to lunch. I had a grilled Ruben and a espresso chocolate shake, both were fantastic! My wife had soup and salad and that was good to. The service was excellent, very polite and friendly. One of the really nice things here is that the restaurant is small and very quiet.

Lavender lemon rickey with bagels and lox? Yes, please. Their soup du jour is always excellent and you really can't go wrong, ever, with their homemade bread pudding and pasta salad. Model's is about as deli as you can get around here since Nosh exited the 'Burque and they do a good job of serving up deli faves alongside old fashioned soda fountain drinks. Not expensive, no stunning ambiance, but always tasty, well-prepared food. Note that there's always a much older crowd here but they don't mind unless you do. Be sure to check out Model's uncommon scents collection and note cards on the way out.

This Pharmacy is an all-in-one all trip down memory lane. It's still operating the way old school pharmacies used to. They have an actual soda fountain and lunch counter. The wife loved that they have a range of high-end beauty products and fragrances. Also a great place for some of those finer little things that men like to pick up like shaving kits and leather wallets.

Have been going to Model Pharmacy for 21 years for good food, gorgeous leather goods, charming cards, toiletries and other goodies. It is a neighborhood treasure. And their brief, ham and preserves on a baguette is and has been my go-to lunch for all that time.

They don't care about the quality of their products. I just purchased a barrette for $12 and it broke by coming off its hinge as soon as I put it on. I popped the hinge back in and it again came right off. So I took it back to Model and the clerk didn't say anything but grabbed it and did exactly what I had done, popping it back in and handed it back saying "Here you go!" I said well I'll try it but I did the same thing and I don't think that's going to help. She said in a condescending voice "what do you expect it was only $12!" I said I expected a little better quality than not even being able to wear it once, but apparently you don't care about quality. She never offered my money back instead argued with me. That is simply poor customer service. BTW, the barrette broke again right away so guess this review will be the price of my $12 since I got nothing else out it.

Had a bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich it was good lot of bacon came with pickle applesauce and either chips or pasta salad I had a vanilla malt my daughter had a butterscotch malt I think for 2 sandwiches and shakes 30 was a little pricey I would do it again thus the 4 stars definitely go back for a 5 dollar shake maybe not the 10 sandwich

The place is cute and stocks interesting stuff but the woman at the perfume counter is beyond rude and dismissive. However the restaurant staff seems quite nice and their food is simple and tasty. Pity the other help reflects so poorly on the establishment.

I went to experience the soda fountain and loved it. I had a cherry ice cream soda with vanilla ice cream, some chips to snack on and an egg cream to go. It was all refreshing and nice. Will be going back for more, and maybe some lunch .

I love it here. It is so unique and so eclectic that this is a place you truly have to visit to understand. Their chocolate milkshake is easily in the top 2 or three I've had in NM and their others are good too, but the chocolate is where it is at. Their pies and cobblers are also very good. I just love browsing around in the store because there are so many truly unique things to see. Many of the things in this shop I have not seen anywhere outside of Europe. All in all, I recommend going, it's a great place to catch up with friends over milkshakes and find some very unique items. Oh, also, their card selection is great, so just go for that if nothing else!

This has an old fashioned soda fountain with hand made drinks and ice cream dishes made out of real ice cream The sodas made of low carb pecan ice cream and diet coke are wonderful. The shakes that aren't low carb are delicious too. Worth the trip.

Since relocating to Albuquerque 2 years; I've always enjoyed shopping at Model Pharmacy for numerous specialty items i.e. fragrances, lipsticks, hair clips etc. But today a gentlemen (whom I assume was the owner) was quite rude to me, so I no longer feel comfortable frequenting this establishment. I will miss the old fashioned soda fountain...but will hopefully find a different one. I Googled my favorite items and am happy to find that moving forward I will be able to order them online.

Simple lunch food well done with good sized portions. A real old fashioned soda fountain--I had a chocolate malt once and a fancy specialty shake the next. The salade nichoise (maybe not so simple) was full of real Greek olives, and the Frankfurter wirh caramelized onions and sauerkraut was as good as any hot dog I've had in years.
